First time I attempted this we wiped a few times. First time was a hysterical error involving a door and the others were 'cause of the waves.
Second time in there, I believe, it was pretty much a breeze.
Third time, I had just chosen any ol random heroic and got brought into one already in progress. They'd just died during running from the LK and their last DK left or they kicked them and they got me (another DK. biggrin ). We wiped that first time but I did get praise for doing what a DK is spose to do, which I found was odd but I didn't comment on it. We wiped again after that. And after that. Our Spriest DCd, they got kicked, and a hunter came in. We wiped again. DPS meters posted, Hunter admitted defeat (he forgot his pet. He was BM spec. HE FORGOT HIS PET!) and Hunter left. Druid Healer lamented that he couldn't DPS, I suggested that when the thing came up he just selected dps instead of healer AND dps. He did so. New healer came in. We cleared the LK run in time for that achieve.
I think the only difference I saw between this bad bad run that was so funny is that we were killing the mobs so close to the LKs aura. The other runs we waited for the mobs to come to us.
TL; DR:: What's your strat for the LK run?
---
Quick edit and unrelated to the LK run kinda.. Whilst we were waiting for the tank to repair after replacing healers I asked if you could jump/fall off the edge of the run. They all assumed so. I told them that if we escape LK this time, I'd jump.
Well, I did.
You know how when you leave group in the randoms you get ported back to where you started? Turns out, if you leave group in the middle of a fall, you don't get ported. You just get taken to the nearest GY.
Lessen learned.

I'm not high enough level to do any of the LK raids, but that sounds like fun~

i was lucky enough not to die my first two runs of Hall. but i DID fall victim to the horrible Matrix Stairs that wiped our group faster than Ick did the first time we fought him. the strat that i always try to imploy, being a hunter and all, is put a explosive trap at the healers feet for when the ghouls jump at it, probably a frost trap as well to trigger Lock& Load and md to the tank so the healer doesnt die and then volley like a fiend until i see the witchdoctors/patchworks coming close enough to pew-pew the s**t out of them. then, once the wall is down, i pack aspect and we beat feet like the ******** flinstones! which the healer RARELY ever notices and spends the whole time runnign around like a chicken with no head dont know if pack helps, getting there faster, but it made me feel a lot safer the first two times i did it. Best. Sequence. Ever. you actually get a sense of 'hoshit' when Arthas is shambling after you with intent that i really never felt before in the game. love the instnace and SOOOO glad they fixed the stairs bug edit: next time you do the gauntlet part, /y "CUE YAKITY SAX"(depending on whether or not you think they'll get what 'yakity sax' is, use 'benny hill chase music') and see how many whispers you get from the group calling you a d**k for getting that tune in their head and, if you dont know what that is, this should clear it up cause even people who've never seen benny hill know the tune

I've been using /yell's at Arthas asking him to remember his ol buddy Muthsera, that I was the best lapdog he ever had.
But I'm definitely doing the yakkity sax or benny hill thing next time. lol

I dont actually have a strat other than I (healer) stand in the back next to Jaina and the tank stands in front. DPS waits for the leaping to stop and then they burn the ghouls down before the abominations come and pwn faces.

[ "私は永遠に、あなたを待っている残るよ..."] Been lucky with H HoR runs. I tend to keep the group pretty much alive (Shaman Healer) as long as they keep moving and dps hard. I guess it depends on who you have in a group... no REAL strategy.

Well before the running part in the room with the sword (2 bosses on either side of the room and all the undead waves) I get a lot of pissy people who get super a**l about kill order, standing exactly in the corner, blah blah blah.
Personally, I think LoS tanking on that part is a horrible idea, I lag so hard with the hunter putting down frost traps and tons of things going on at once. I've cleared the part perfectly without LoS and we had a lot less problems.
But I've yet to really wipe on a group on the running away from Lich King part, you just gotta have the dps and not have anyone die.
I love the overkill LK has, over 800k wink

I did H-HoR multiple days in a row with some people from my guild had amazing dps and an awesome tank. Went smoothly. Used the dungeon finder.. terrible group; I actually ran out of mana while healing.. it was taking that long for them to kill the mobs. -__- 2.6k was the highest dps; my priest can do that with shitty dps gear. I think you just need a good tank; people with high dps.. and a decent healer.. it goes by pretty quick and easy.

Somber_isis_Queen Personally, I think LoS tanking on that part is a horrible idea, me too. every time i do it, we wipe a good deal before we end it but the first 4 times i did it we just stood in the center and murdered everyone who came and we didnt have a single death.

I havent ran the heroic versions of the instances yet (hopefully soon) but on regular it doesnt seem to bee too hard to burn down the adds as long as youre doing avg dps of 2.5-3k (I was pulling about 3.8-4.2k /flex) I think there really isnt a problem. But thats just reg HoR

I'm probably going to run it Reg first to get the hang of it without just jumping right into the meat grinder.
That place is on my list of "f*ck off, I'm not doing it" instances along with Oculus. =p

oh god! do not get me started on Occulus. the computer i'm on is horribly buggy and it is difficult to post things that are over 700 characters long and i just know i'd be writting an essay on bitching about that place.
but, yeah, it is best to try a dungeon on normal before heroic. at least the newer ones.

I hate Halls of Reflection.
My main is a healing priest, and I can safely say that unless you are sporting hard-mode ToC gear or ICC gear, this place is absolutely ridiculous to heal as Discipline and damned near impossible as CoH Holy.
I have 27k mana unbuffed as a disc priest, and I am chugging potions between pulls along with my Hymn of Hope and my Shadowfiend every cooldown. Not to mention I'm blowing my Pain Suppression and Divine Hymn every cooldown, and yet I still cannot keep everyone alive. I don't understand WHY this place is ridiculous to heal.
As a CoH Holy priest, I went OOM every pull. I couldn't even finish a pull at half-mana, because I'd use Guardian Spirit while I went to regen mana with whatever wasn't on cooldown, and it just wouldn't be enough to make it through the rest of it. And if it did, it wouldn't make it through a boss or the next wave.
On the other hand, I also have a Restoration druid, and while I MUST go disc for the gauntlet in the Pit of Saron, my druid has no trouble at all healing through it. It makes me wonder whether or not my druid will be fine in HoR. (My druid and my priest are not equally geared, my priest is better geared.)
Does anyone else here play a priest and have a strategy for healing it? It seems I'm just not able to heal through the damage AND keep my mana up at the same time.
I would rather do Oculus than this bullshit. At least I don't have to heal anything for half of it.

That first bit of HOR Ive found is entirely tank dependant. If you have a shitty tank its going to make it a lot harder to heal. Ive got TOC gear and have run with both good and bad tanks, but no matter how much gear you have it wont be enough if all the mobs arent being picked up.
