Reading- The need to know more about just about anything consumes Dwayne, and one can often find him at the library with several thick and strange books piled on the table nearby. He seems to love memorizing strange and often useless facts about... well, everything. Most notably these facts seem to revolve around myths and rumors, and he will quite happily rattle off random, worthless bits of knowledge to anyone who pretends they’re interested.
Puzzle Solving – The boy loves puzzles, be they crosswords or Sudoku or actual, thousand-piece puzzles. He finds it a good way to kick back and relax while still finding ways to exercise his mind. It’s important, you know! Even if he’s not the fastest to solve them, he gets it all sorted out eventually—and to Dwayne, that’s all that matters.
Doodling – His crossword puzzles and Sudoku pages are, more often than not, accompanied by armies of little doodles all along the margins. He has surprising talent for rough, quick little sketches, and one can note that he sometimes includes them in his school work for projects when he can’t quite use words to describe what he means. It’s an easy, cheap way to get his emotions out whenever he’s feeling frustrated or upset, and he normally feels better afterwards unless it’s something major.
Superstitions: - If there was a specialty in rumor-knowing, well... and not petty rumors about classmates, either! Dwayne specializes in superstitions. Did you know that if you turn around in the center of a graveyard three times exactly at the stroke of midnight, a ghost will appear? His Ouija board totally works, too, by the way. Though he'd like to believe in them, he finds them more of an interest than a hard truth, and that often leads to him testing whichever of these rumors he can get his hands on.

Virtues:
Dedicated – If presented with a task or a problem that needs solving, Dwayne is your man to go to. Particularly if it’s research-based, it will undoubtedly catch his eye and he will more than happily devote all his time in a furious race with himself to try and come up with a feasible answer. It becomes a very personal thing for him, and he’ll give 110%--and don’t tell him that he can’t do it, you’ll find yourself forcibly shooed out of his working space so he can focus without your negative input. He does well in school because of this, and his study material is quite often memorized and thoroughly understood just because he has nothing better to do.
Team Player – Unsurprisingly, he works best when he’s with others. He doesn’t provide the ideas, after all, he just makes them work! It makes him feel more secure to know there’s other people who have his back, even if he’ll likely bore them all to tears when he chimes in with random, awkward facts that nobody really cared to know in the first place. He likes to bounce ideas and suggestions off people, even if sometimes he unconsciously dominates the conversation.
Patience - A friendly chatterbox, Dwayne is known for rambling on and on to people for hours. And hours. And hours. And if people want to rattle right on back at him? He's more than happy to listen! He will spend ages on puzzles without losing his temper if they prove to be tricky, and he never rushes through his work if he can help it. Being patient and steadfast is important to him, and he doesn't mind how long things take. Admittedly, if someone is trying to distract him from his work intentionally (in his mind), then that's something different, but if he believes they are genuinely trying to contribute, he'll be more than happy to walk them through the steps for as long as it takes.

Flaws:
Obsessive – The downside to his ability to work well; Dwayne doesn’t want to do anything else until he’s finished what he’s started. It isn’t uncommon for him to snap or get very agitated with someone who needs him to do something else—aka, in his mind, interrupting him. Even if it’s dire, he’s very reluctant to switch gears, and will stubbornly set his heels in and act completely unreasonable, much to the chagrin of many.
Prone To Overreact – Used to being teased thanks to his strange wealth of unimportant, openly shared knowledge, to say the boy is defensive is a bit of an understatement. Critique is taken hostility and very badly indeed, and if someone makes an offhand comment that could be interpreted in a negative way... well, Dwayne will fire back some snippy, angry retort without hesitation. He’s prone to being emotional, particularly when he feels he’s being put on the spot, and it will almost certainly get ugly unless he receives an apology or is somehow mollified.
