On another note, I've given up my quest to buy a Classic Ian Doll until after Christmas. One of the downsides to having lots of friends is that you have way too many people to buy for. blaugh I kind of feel bad though. I feel like I'm buying crappy gifts for everyone. xp And I'm having to limit the people I gift just because there are so many people, and there is so little gold in my account after continually buying gifts. That reminds me; I need to go Christmas shopping for my family. sweatdrop

hi hi hiii!!! i fear i wont be able to participate too much in the xmas event.. looks like we JUST got our closing date (finally) on the new house.. i have 1 week to finish packing. we're moving the monday after christmas! AHHHH!!! soooo yeah. sweatdrop im about to go in disappear mode, take my fishies out of my tank, and be on a short hiatus. xp i might be sending my secret santa gift out extra super duper early, too.. and all other gifts (that i havent bought yet rofl .. x-mas is starting early! blaugh

I love Christmastime. smile it's always so pretty...
Except that I live in Florida. And florida doesn't consist of cold weather or snow. I've never seen snow, do you know how sad that is for me? *sniffles*

It's not much better for me. I live in Alabama. We're doing good to get snow flurries. And for any of you who don't live in the deep south, snow flurries or sleet means that schools/roads are closed. rofl I have been snow-skiing in West Virginia before. Eko, you might try to go on a ski trip like I did if you want to see some snow. biggrin

The Festivus Pole is for the made-up winter holiday, Festivus. It originated from Seinfeld, when the characters were sick of the typical holidays because they weren't generic enough for everyone. It's basically an iron pole with a big nob on the top. It's ugly and plain and completely negates the idea of Christmas festivities. But that's the point! You'd be surprised how many people celebrate Festivus now. ^^;

Really? They do it as a joke though, right? I've never watched Seinfeld, so I'm not familiar with any of the references. I rarely ever watch tv anymore.

The people I've known to do it do it as a joke/fun thing. But maybe some people take it seriously. There's been weirder crazes.

I know, I've been trying to work out a silver or gold outfit, but there aren't a lot of items that do those colors justice. gonk I might have to do both gold and silver or use them with another minor color.
I remember Pi Day. We also used to celebrate Mole Day in high school. ^^;
