The early morning light covered the grassy plain in a white glow, making it appear to be a sea of gold. Birds called greetings to each other in high pitched chirps; they took flight to stretch their wings and to feel the morning sun on their backs. Below the birds, a lone Soquili stood gazing over the golden sea; her grey eyes fixed on the plain before her, but not really seeing it, for she was still in the land of dreams. Her body was stuck in reality, but her mind was free to travel between the two worlds; she was unable to fall completely to sleep.
“Wake up sun, come warm my day. Shine on us your brightness where we lay. ‘Good morning, good morning’ we all smile and say. It’s time to get up and go out to play.”
A small smile spread across her face as she repeated the words her mother used to say. It was a time before the pain, when the mother and foal lived happily together, but that soon changed when the mother left without a word.
The grass in front of the mare still showed signs of the morning dew; the little water drops glided down the long stem of the green grass. Everything was peaceful and calm. It was how the world should be, instead of how it is outside this realm of tranquility.
A small breeze of warm morning wind tickled the mare’s mane, “it’s time. It’s time. Wander. Wander” the wind whispered in her ear. As always, the mare turned to follow the wind, she let it lead her to a new place each time; always in constant motion.
As the mare walked, she let her mind wander. It entered the world of dreams, while she herself remained stationed in reality. Hours seemed like minutes, days seemed like hours, months seemed like days. Finally the mare removed herself from the land of dreams to find herself standing in front of a pool of water. The Angeni could see clearly her reflection reflected off the glassy surface of the water. Her eyes were barely open and her body appeared relaxed. The stillness around the pool was eerie, for not a single sound, beside that of her breathing was heard.

Feya hummed while she fluttered around. It was beautiful morning and she just enjoyed bathing in early sun light. Oh her way she spotted one quite interesting mare. She never saw someone that had two sets of wings and this she had to inspect form closer point of view. She fluttered close to the mare and smiled.
'' Hello there. ''
The mare didn't answer to her and looking in her eyes Feya notices she had distant look. As if she was somewhere far away. Still she didn't let that discourage her so she tried again just little louder this time and with more heart.
'' Hello there. I'm Feya. ''
The mare still didn't react and just as Feya was getting ready to say something again she started to move. Feya tilted her head to one side. This mare was really strange. Feya fluttered after her in silence until they reached a pool of water. Here Feya landed beside. She examined mare for a moment and concluded she was exactly one third of her size but that wasn't strange for Feya was small. All flutters were. And there! It seemed that mare came back from where she was so Feya decided to try once more.
'' Hello there! ''

Isabliss blinked in surprise, she looked around startled until her grey eyes fell upon a small mare with light pink wings; they are like butterfly wings, but I would say they look to be more like fairy wings one always hears about in stories. The Angeni smiled at the friendly fluttering Soquili, “Hello. Have you been trying to get my attention? I am truly sorry; it must have seemed very rude of me. And it seems that I have forgotten my manners, I apologize for not introducing myself, I am called Isabliss.”
The mare moved her gaze from the flutter in front of her to view her surroundings. Whenever she Dream Walked, she always woke up to find herself someplace new. It only happened a few times before, and as the numbers of Dream Walking increase, so does the time she is under its hold.
“I believe you told me your name when I was…when my mind was elsewhere. May I ask what you are called and I promise I will not forget it this time,” Isabliss smiled at the white mare that had pink flowers woven into her mane and tail. Green leaves were worn as a necklace around her neck, on other Soquili it would have appeared strange, but on this tiny mare, it seemed to fit perfectly, making her fit in with the forest around the mirror pool.

'' Oh it isn't anything that bad. You seemed a bit distant so I followed you here. ''
Feya smiled while mare examined they're surroundings. It seemed as she wasn't aware where she ended her journey until now. What fascinated Feya was the fact she didn't collide with anything on her way here. Such strange state as if she was in trance.
'' Oh that is no problem. My name is Feya. It is nice to meet you. ''
Feya looked at mares wings. She had met others that had wings. But they all had only one pair of them. She thought it couldn't be that strange since she her self had three pairs of wings. And the more she thought about it she seemed to remember her mother telling her about an special kin among all descendants of ancestors that were pure hearted and wore two pairs of bird like wings. But she also mentioned that they were rare these days and image of how they really looked faded away long time ago. That isn't that strange for a community that has been separated from the outside world for so long as her tribe. So Feya wondered if she really did meet one of them today.
'' Tell me are you perhaps one that belongs to special kin? ''

The grey mare’s gaze that once was viewing her surroundings now looked at the small white and pink mare in front of her. One could not help but smile at her, for she was friendly and was filled with a life energy that so many lack.
“It is very nice to meet you Feya. That is a very pretty name; if I am not mistaken, it has to do with The Fey… the fairies?”
Isabliss had heard about the Fey in her travels, the mystical creatures who lived in a realm other than the one that most live in. It was a magical place, filled with wander and happiness, not much different than the world around the two mares, but it was different in a more complex matter.
An old stallion once told her that the time spent in the fey, might seem short there, but many days have gone by in the outside world. The tale fascinated Isabliss and she wanted to learn more about the world behind the veil, be it only a legend, perhaps the tiny mare knew something about it?
“A special kin? I have never heard it phrased like that before, but yes I am. My kinsmen are of the Angeni breed, I believe that is what you are asking?”

'' Yes it does. It is a home-place of my ancestors. ''
Thou these days only the wisest can find they're way back and none of them came back to lead the others. Her mother told her stories of a small tribe that was so fascinated with this realm that it decided to spend as much time as they could to explore. Generations came and time passed and soon way back home was forgotten. But that fact didn't bother tribe too much since it's members became attached to this realm and they had they're little place in it that was hard to find for anyone except for it's members. And it was always fun watching seasons sculpture and change the landscape.
'' Angeni? How interesting! Wait till I tell my friends what I've learned. ''
Feya giggled as she would always when she was having fun. She went out in the world despite her mother advising her not to go just yet. But she was impatient and she just had to see everything by herself and with her own eyes.
'' That is if I find my way back. ''

“That is wonderful! If you are allowed and if you wish it, could you tell me stories from there?”
Excitement was rising in Isabliss, it was always thrilling to have a chance to learn a new myth or song. She had heard of the fey and like the other places she had heard about, wished with all her heart that it was true, and now, right in front of her, was a flutter who had connections to the land of magic, which had the power to warp reality.
Feya’s joy was infectious; Isabliss found that she could not help but smile at the tiny mare, “I am glad you take such joy in our meeting. You know, you are the first flutter I have met? I have heard of your kin, while on my travels, but never came across one. So thank you.”
She bowed her head in respect and then looked back at the white and pink mare standing before her, “You appear to be quite a wonderer yourself… have you been to many interesting places?” Isabliss looked away for a quick moment, before saying the words to Feya in a soft but knowing voice, “I am sure you will find your way. It is in your blood.”

Feya tilted her head to one side. She was surprised by respect that was given to her by Angeni mare even though she did nothing great or admiring worth deed. And the more she thought about it seemed to her she understands reason why. If it is as the mare said that she was the first flutter the mare saw in her life she must have felt the same was as Feya did as she learned that Isabliss was Angeni. It is one thing to listen about some creatures in faery tales told by the oldest and completely different to actually meet one of them.
'' You are welcome. I have to say that feeling is mutual. ''
Feya thought of all places she had been till now and she didn't have too big list of them. She had only began with her traveling.
'' Well I haven't been to too many places since I only just started my traveling. But I can say I did manage to meet few interesting individuals in short time till now. ''
Feya thought which story about her kind would be most interesting to tell. Perhaps the story about old home would be the most appropriate to start with.
'' Story... would you like listen to one about old home? ''

Isabliss smiled, the little flutter in front of her was so kind; the stories that she had heard about them appeared to be true, or mostly true. She should not base an entire species off of one meeting, meet more and get to know them, but then she still would not clump them all into one, since each are their own person and in charge of their own actions. Not one flutter is a like, just like not one Angeni is alike.
“I am pleased that you feel the same way, it makes this encounter all the much more fitting. It is okay that you have not been many places; you still have plenty of time to travel and see the world. You will see many places that will take your breath away, and it will cause your heart to ache when you have to leave,” Isabliss gave a small sad smile at the end of that sentence, there were so many wonderful places that she loved, but in the end had to leave them because of the call of the North Wind.
A story about a place called ‘old home’ by a flutter who was named after a land that Isabliss thought was only a legend and learned otherwise only a few moments before, “Yes, I would love to hear the story of old home.”

Feya took few minutes to recall what her mother told her about they're old home. The story was more of legend now, a bed time story and Feya didn't know how much of it was really true. But still it was one of her favorite stories her mother used to tell to her.
'' Well... from what mother used to tell me time there has no meaning. There is no day and night, no sun or moon. But it isn't dark. No no. Still the sky isn't colored like the one over us. ''
It was so hard to explain when she too didn't actually see it. She could only imagine it from what she heard from stories. And even than stories had more versions. Sometimes it seemed to her that every family had one of they're own. She used to debate about the old home sky with her friends but they could never come to conclusion how did it really look.
'' And time doesn't flow that fast like here. Meaning few hours there would be equal to few years here. So there is no need for rushing anywhere for anything. ''
This was maybe her favorite part of the story. Here everyone always seemed to be in hurry somewhere but there everyone has so much more time for everything that they can lay around all day and still have time to finish everything they need to do.
'' There are no seasons or rather late spring is all the time. Then the most beautiful flowers bloom and most delicious ripe fruits grow. ''
Fruits different from the ones that grew here though.
'' It is said that if a non-flutter soquili accidently finds it self there it becomes so consumed with it that it can never go back home. ''
Which was by Feya's standards horrible fate since one can not see they're family or loved ones that way. And well the thing Feya left out was that it is said they lose all they're memories and become more foal like in personalities.

Isabliss listened to the tiny flutter with rapt attention; it was fascinating how the time flowed differently in fairy; hours in the world she resided in were only mere minutes in the Land of the Fey. The grey colored angeni wished with her whole heart that she could see the magnificent land that Feya described, but Isabliss knew that she did not have a drop of fey blood racing through her veins. The Angeni of Insomnia would have to be content with the stories she heard on her travels.
“Miss Feya, do you have any desire to visit the Realm of the Fey?” If the stories were as wonderful as told, who would not desire to see the magical land, “And if you did desire to enter the fey, would you know where to look?”
Silver and dark grey wings fluttered as Isabliss remembered hearing about a portal to the world of the fey. It was in a place covered in mist and stone giants danced in a ring. The angeni mare had yet to be called to that far land by the North Wind, if it was meant to be, it was meant to be; until then the angeni mare would continue her journeys and enjoy each experience that was laid before her.
Around the two mares the forest grew dark, the last rays of sunlight glittered off the pond; a peaceful calm engulfed the woods. Where the two winged mares stood, they could not see the sun set in the west, but in just a few hours they would be able to see the small glow of the a waning crescent moon in the night sky.
“It is a pity that those who do not posses fey blood would be driven mad with want; it would have been an amazing world to explore. All the wonderful stories and songs that must be kept there,” The angeni’s grey eyes went dim as she contemplated the about of myths and legends that the world would hold.

'' Well I would like to go back to the land of my ancestors. ''
Still she felt that time to search for it is still a long way down on her to do list.
'' And no. I am afraid that the knowledge of how to go back was lost long ago. But I'm in no hurry. There are still many things I have to see, learn and do before I can search for it. ''
Although that fact didn't bother Feya she still wondered if she will ever find the path. In the end she could only hope.
Feya fluttered her little wings as the light dimmed and her sparks shined more brightly now. She loved nights. They were never completely dark for her. And although it was disadvantage to emit any kind of light in night she had an advantage, the possibility to sleep high up in the trees. There she is safe from meet eaters.
'' Yes it is. To bad not all of us are the same. ''

Isabliss’ head gave a slight nod in acknowledgement to Feya’s words, the angeni mare had figured as much, for who would not want to see the land where one’s history derived from?
“That knowledge has not been lost, one could find the ancient stories if one just knew where to look,” Isabliss smiled at Feya, “Yes, there are still adventures to be had here in this realm.” Isabliss’ grey eyes stared off into the distance and her countenance relaxed into its normal state as she contemplated the adventures she had yet to experience: Love, motherhood, and finding a place to call home.
The angeni mare loved the nights, it was the time of dreams and when the nocturnal world made an appearance. To her the silver stars high in the night sky where her constant companion and the moon was the only mother she knew.
“Yes, it is a shame, but it is also a blessing. Our differences make us who we are and that variation makes this world an interesting place to live, for would it not be boring to have everyone the same? Everyone thinks the same, acts the same; we would not have the magnificent stories that enrich our cultures without our myriad of differences,” Isabliss turned her gaze back to Feya and gave her a smile.

Feya thought about angeni's words for a bit. She did have a point. If all living things would be same world would be boring place.
'' Hm... you are right. Variety is what makes life interesting. ''
Feya looked at the sky where stars were slowly appearing. She always wondered what makes them sparkle so happily as they dance through the night sky.
'' They are so beautiful. I wish I could travel to one of them. ''
Sometimes she would imagine all variety of strange looking creatures and plant life. Beautiful new places just waiting to be discovered. Feya looked at angeni's wings. Surely one with such large wings could fly high enough.
'' Have you ever been to one of the stars? ''

High above the two mares the stars gazed down upon the Earth; constellations hung in the sky and she wished that she could call them by their proper name. To Isabliss the stars and the moon were her constant companions; they were always there when she was lonely, all the mare had to do was look up at the sky and feel the comfort of their soft glow.
The angeni agreed with the tiny flutter, they are beautiful and traveling to them would be an adventure of a lifetime, “I have wished to fly to the stars, but sadly I do not have that ability. I have only flown as high as the clouds and watched as they danced in swirls around me. On one of my travels I learned of an angeni elder who flew to the stars, the legend said that when he came back, what he saw was too awe inspiring to put into coherent words.”
Isabliss was able to image what the stallion saw, but imagining it was not the same as seeing it with your very own eyes.
