The sky was grey over head, warning of a future storm. The clouds were thin and was seemingly distressed by the way the plains were deserted. Winds whispered sweet nothings to the Soquili that had the gumption to stand in the winds way while Jack Frost threatened to drop some of his seasonal gifts to those around. Rain, wind and snow. A nice little combination. The grass sang as the wind whipped it together, singing the praises of the day and the thanks they had for that. The ground yearned for the sweet liquid to come down and replenish their water. This was normal for this time of year. Because the seasons were changing and the plants were shifting in a way, preparing for something like a normal tradition. This happened every year so it was normal to them and all the animals and such that lived in the world. The change of the wind and the seasons was normal throughout anywhere anyone went. In this area of near nothing roamed, a creature nearly the same color of the grass moved through the whispering blades, the small strands of grass sometimes reaching her chest, brushing against the slim hairs. The figure was small and her hair fell in her black eyes.

This was Arcadia. Small Petite female that packed one big bite but she was trying to be more...reserved. From what Sylph's said, she was easy to read. Which bothered her for reasons unknown to her own self. Maybe it was because she loved to play with others, like they were nothing more then just useless beings. Some of them were. Not even worth a second thought. She sighed lightly and cocked her head to the side with a sigh, the wind whistling through her hair as her eyes just looked around. Her pale green body was like a beacon in a way. A soft neon green in a way. Surprisingly her father nor mother was this color. It was a repressive gene. But of course, she no longer lived with those people. She hated them in a sense. Judgmental bastards but then she was a hypocrite. Because she was somewhat judgmental. This was common though. The eyes were in your head to judge whatever crossed the threshold.

The wind whistled about its course, rustling Abdiel's mane as he stepped lightly through the swaying grass. He was going against the flow of the wind, taking in the scents it carried. It was cold and crisp, and carried the scent and feel of a coming storm. As Abdiel looked up he could already see the small soft flurries beginning to fall; just the beginnings of the storm. The clouds that rolled overhead didn't appear to be too vicious, but who knew what they were capable of becoming. Abdiel loved the cold and the snow, and the brilliant white and blue colors that came with winter. He liked the way the trees looked; bare, with no leaves, and covered in white. The world he stepped about now was cold and bare, as if welcoming the snow to fall. The only bright color still left behind from summer and fall was the green of the grass and a few, lone, red leaves still clinging to their branches.

The wind caught a leaf just then and blew it across Abdiel's line of vision and then past his head to swirl to a stop at his feet. He looked straight ahead and caught sight of something green, much larger than grass and much brighter. He sniffed the air and caught her scent. A green mare was standing a ways away, just up ahead in the tall grass. He took a step to approach her. She was the color of the seasons that had past, and the season that would come. He was the color of cold and winter.

As Abdiel got closer he could see that she was very beautiful. He imagined, that had the sun been shining, the stars that adorned her mane and tail would have been shining brilliantly. Her eyes stood out, dark and contrasting with her bright colors. He had made sure to make his approach clear, as to not startle her with a sudden appearance. He watched her eyes now, for them to find him, and waited to see what their reaction would be to his appearance.

Arcadia's ears flickered back and forth, picking up nothing but the wind and the crunch on the ice building on the ground. She lowered her head to n** at the grass there that remained and chewed it thoroughly, enjoying the taste and texture of the thin grass. It was wonderful. The taste was sweet. That's why she loved the plains compared to the woods nasty dirt grass. She snorted lightly, raising her head to peer around. And that's when she saw the other creature watching. His scent then hit her nose, and she wrinkled it in distaste. Great another male. That's all she had been running into as of late. Plain old bois. One large, one small, one handsome one ugly. And he was the first Uni Soquili that she had seen. Her ears went back and she was on the defense. What he was doing, just looking at her? He wasn't there a minute ago. Or was he.

"Is there a reason your looking at me Uni?" She questioned, her voice carrying over the way to him. She was a loud obnoxious thing along with a feisty attitude. But she had to make it up do to her size. She wasn't OMG WHAT IS THAT tiny but she was more so....smaller in some means. She peered at the stallion with a raised brow, waiting for whatever excuse slip through his lips.

Abdiel laughed and let out an amused snort. All the females he had run into as of late had been so rude upon meeting. He wondered what it was about him that set them on the defensive. Even so the rudeness didn't really bother him, he could care less. And with the other females he had known, they usually lightened up a bit after a few moments of conversation.

Abdiel grinned and looked around the plains before turning his gaze back to the female and answering, "Well, you happen to be the only thing to look at for miles. Not anything else but grass and snow." He chuckled and glanced up at a lone tree not far off. "And that tree over there, it's quite nice." He looked back at her and his playful smile turned into a serious one. "Honestly, I was just passing by."

The mare's eyes narrowed at the laugh and she shifted slightly to peer at the male more closely, the soft green strands of hair sliding off her shoulders complementing the brighter green coat. Ah, Males and their egos. How she wished to crush them with the stomp of her hoof. Shaking her tail softly, she didn't bother to peer around at the plains around them knowing what was around her since she was a very observant horse when she wished to be. Most of the time she wouldn't know her tail end from her hooves. Snorting lightly at the comment of the tree, she rolled her eyes slightly and glanced him once up and down before moving slightly away boredly.

"Well then continue with your 'passing by' Stallion." She mummered with a thick sarcasm and boredom lining her tone as she turned her back and lowered her head once more to the sweet grass underfoot. It amused her how he went from being playful to such a serious state. At least he knew when to be playful. Half the males around the area seemed to have a stick jabbed up their behind but they could say the same thing about her.

Abdiel watched her as she boredly picked at the grass. Abdiel didn't know why, but none of the other horses he had met recently had been very friendly at all.

Well, he took that as his cue to leave, and shrugging he turned and continued his passing by, just as she'd said. "Goodbye then," he'd added over his shoulder

((So late, I'm sorry. >w< I don't know if this response will end it or not lol. She didn't seem to like him very much XD; ))

Her head snapped up and she glared at his back side. Goodbye then? Nothing more, nothing less? What the hell was wrong with him. Cocking an eyebrow, she shifted slightly before trotting up and in front of him, narrowing her eyes. " 'Goodbye then'?" She frowned up at him, slightly confused but was bent on making him stay. Normal stallions just didn't walk away from Arcadia and she wasn't about to let him. "You must be slow on many levels my friend...." She muttered lightly, before shrugging her shoulders lightly, flickering her tail as she stepped aside. With a annoyed sigh she tilted her head. "Continue if you wish." It was like a invitation to stay as she tilted her head to look away from the male. Sure, she had snapped at him but they normally just don't walk away. It was unusual to her but she was going to mess with him. It was always fun to make stallions loosen up before snapping the box down and making them withdraw within themselves. But no Stallion walked away until she did.

Occ: Nah, I want it to continue since it was so short. Besides, that took a blow to her ego. :p

Abdiel was a little surprised by her blocking his way. Apparently, she didn't want him to leave after all, and she seemed to be offended. 'Females are so odd,' Abdiel though to himself, fighting back a smirk. He couldn't help it though, and he laughed at her sudden annoyance. Had she just called him slow? This was funny to Abdiel and he replied, "Slow? I'm not the one saying one thing, and then meaning another. Or maybe you just changed your mind. Maybe you don't know what you want."

Continue if you wish? He wasn't exactly sure what she meant by this, but he didn't continue walking. He just stood there, turned back towards her, and shook his head lightly in an amused sort of way. This might prove to be an interesting day after all.
