Alice shifted a bit on her blanket, sighing when she couldn’t find a soft spot to lay on anymore. Everything was falling into place, just like today … she was going to show Dhiren around his new home, it was a step forward she had been somewhat nervous to make. Quietly she stood, stretching out the tension in her back and walked from her room. The breeze outside on her thin robe made her shiver, but it was a pleasant way to wake up.

The female pulled her robe a bit tighter before resting her eyes on the cello leaning against her wall. Morph must have put it there, after she had left it out the night before. A small smile touched her lips at the thought, her students were about her age to tell the truth and they were having teaching her as much as she taught them.

Lightly she ran her hands over the large instrument before walking to the koi pond. Lately a great puzzlement had filled her, she needed to find a use for Dhiren and she needed to find something to submerge herself into something… to avoid thinking about… things. Alice bit her lip, watching the pretty colored fish waiting for Dhiren to awake so she could spring this idea on him.

It had been a while since Dhiren had slept in a safe place, and so he had fallen into the deepest sleep he could remember. The orange tomcat lay on his side, loosely curled, with his bushy tail draped over his thighs. Waking was slow coming for the Somali cat, and he fought it off as long as he could, a deep rumbling purr rolling from his chest as he was able to shift into a slightly more comfortable position and drift off again. Eventually though, his forepaws stretched out before him, unconsciously reaching for the body that was no longer resting beside him. When claws extended and flexed through empty space, the tom's tail gave an irritated flick and he cracked one eye open with a sleepy, questioning 'mrr.'

Through blurry vision, Dhiren could see that he was sleeping alone. Sunlight was filtering into the small space, warming his pelt nice enough, but his woman was nowhere to be seen. Troubled, the Somali rolled over and pulled himself into a sitting position. He took a moment to muss his hair and rub the sleep from his eyes before padding forward and falling into a long, comfortable stretch. In nothing but a pair of jeans, the orange cat quietly left the comforts of bed and began his search for his missing mate. It didn't take him long to discover her outside, sitting by the koi pond, and with a quiet mew, he walked over and slid his arms around her shoulders. "Nn... Mornin'" He murred in a low voice, nuzzling against her ear.

Alice awoke from her revere about the future far too willingly. It all scared her to tell the truth, but what could she do, it was all out of her hands at the moment. Over her shoulder she gave her mate a sheepish grin, then tilted her head up. She let out a soft purr and stood up, immediately missing his warmth, but not willing to prolong the day more then it had to be.

"Silly boy, we need go get dressed. We have a lot to do today." It wasn't difficult for her to get ready, all it took was a hairbrush and the outfit she had picked the previous night. Alice had rather difficult habits to live with, but they were ones most people took advantage of, like cleanliness, and precision. A bit OCD if one were to really look at it, but what artist isn't mad inside?

Letting his hands fall to his sides, Dhiren watched the female with slight confusion. "What are we doing?" Personally, the orange tomcat felt that his jeans were enough, but he followed Alice back to their room anyway. "Are you okay? You got up early today..." One of his ears fell to the side as he searched for a shirt, and he glanced over to her uncertainly, "You're not still worried about... that, right? I've told you that it doesn't bother me." Behind him, his fluffy tail whisked over the various fabrics lining the ground, and he tightened his jaw in frustration over not being able to fix her broken womb.

Alice shook her head, putting on a fake smile. She was getting quite good at it actually, lying with her lips as well as her eyes. "Ive just been debating what I want you do do around here. And well... Just wanted to walk around the university with you so that you could get a hang of being around here." the female walked forward, wrapping her arms around his torso and kissing his shoulder. "My body.... can be dealt with later, we have more pressing matters to concentrate on." She pulled away, letting her robe fall and throwing on a sweater with jeans. It was bloody cold outside, her mate was just too manly to admit it. Alice threw a wink over her shoulder as she sashayed out of the bench and shot him a look.
"better keep up dhi, im not above leaving you somewhere unpleasant."

Pulling on a shirt, Dhiren glanced over at his mate and simply nodded. That expression was there again, he was growing to dislike it more and more. She looked happy enough, but he could see the tenseness in her face; it was forced. The toms ears fell back despite the affectionate embrace, but he pushed it aside for now, she seemed to have business that they both needed to attend to. Amber eyes followed the Somali femme as she moved around, getting dressed, and he grabbed a jacket as a second thought before following her out. "If a walk is what you want, then that's fine." He said at last, an arm slipping around her shoulders and pulling her against him, "I need to get to know this place better anyway, if I'm going to remain living here, that is." Dhiren smiled down at his mate, despite his concern, and whisked his bushy tail against hers. They would surely sort out the other issues later.

Alice shook her head, the smile remaining on her lips. "You better stay living here or you may have issues reproducing as well." The femme laughed to herself and tugged him along, until they stood in the middle of the university. It was lovely at this time, because very few humans were about and the ones that were, more often then not were still rubbing sleep out of their eyes and paid little attention to two strays running about and taking their spoils. Alice looked about her, pointing with a finger and rattling off the names of the buildings.
"That one is the Design and visual arts building, where I get my cloth and Gwin gets her paints. That one is the performing arts building, where they have the green room and the main stage. We just came from the koi pond and greenhouse, you OBVIOUSLY know what goes on there, The caffeteria is that way, with a book store and a teachers lounge, And lastly there's the musical department, with all types of instruments, and vocal training."

The somali paused, her face falling a bit, before looking at him and turning on the switch once more. "I may have someplace you will appreciate, but im kinda hesitant to share it with anyone. Its kinda like my secret garden." Alice nuzzled into her mates side, blinking up at him before making up her mind and pulling him along to one of the furthest buildings still on the campus grounds.

Dhiren chuckled at his mate's idle threat and walked with her until they were in the center of the territory. Curiously, he looked out at the buildings that faced them and nodded in acknowledgment as Alice pointed out each and named it for him. When she paused, he looked down and her and tilted his head a little at her mysterious 'Secret Garden.' And when she began to pull him along again, he swished his tail again and looked forward. "Where... do you hold the fighting and self defense classes? Do you have those here?" He was almost sure she was taking him to this special place, but he was curious about that too.

Still tugging the male along by the hand Alice smiled, though a bit disgruntled about the question. "im going to be completely honest and say we don't... yet. I've been debating where to put it and it seems the territory lines between us and the ruins would be the most secure option." The female let the unspoken words drift between them as they past several quads and benches, a fountain and several sleep ridden students and finally stood in front of the library, looking at what seemed to be a completely run down ancient building.

"That is where I do all of my serious thinking. Its actually something I wanted to share with you, and quite possibly use as our headquarters. I know it doesn't look like much, but it was built at around the same time as the humans... and the students think its haunted with the victims of the fire." Alice rested her head on his shoulder and looked at the building, a real smile touching her lips. It LOOKED like a secret garden, Ivy was crawling all over the fence and a side of the building, windows were broken with birds standing on the sill, wildflowers growing around the base and moss on the roof. It was a little slice of the past, so willing to show its potential if it only had the chance.

Dhiren nodded quietly to his mate, agreeing with her placement for the self defense classes; although, he was a little displeased that there were none established in a school territory. This meant that if he wanted to get better at fighting and learn to properly protect his mate and his new family, he would have to go elsewhere and ask someone to help him. This prospect sat heavily on the tom's tongue like a bad taste, but he swallowed it and sighed to himself; it had to be done.

When they came to a stop at last, amber eyes darted to the old building and looked over it carefully as she spoke. It was definitely much quieter here, and more peaceful. Glancing to his mate, he tipped his head a little, "I think it's a good place; quiet and without all those humans wandering about. Is this where you intend to hold meetings for the others in this territory?" His tail flicked slowly, the Somali didn't completely understand what this building meant to his mate, nor did he quite understand what it is one did with their territory yet.

"Yes... and I was thinking of having our personal quarters here too. I just... get peaceful when im in it. Though I think I may keep my call backs by the koi pond, I still enjoy it there very much." Alice wouldn't admit it, even to Dhiren, but the building before them was where she had first run off to after leaving home, learning to play her cello in peace, and she often thought in one of the stargazing towers of their relationship in its early stages.

"I think I may have you be the main defense of the territory, have you train our people... if thats something your interested in. Of course I would learn as much as I could with you for as long as I could be away." Quietly she opened the door, a low creak protruding from the wood, and brushing against wood and dust. The front room was a mess, the spiral staircase looking far from usable, but quite beautiful.

It held promise.

Alice turned down one hallway, walking until she found the maid's staircase and started to climb them, hoping Dhiren was falling... she wanted to take him to one of the main reasons she had picked this place for her school.

Dhiren stood for a long while, just considering the old, forgotten building. Immediately, the tom found himself liking the place; it was quiet and out of the way, and it didn't seem as if many humans had ventured near it recently. Indeed, it looked as if it needed some work, but it would do for a bunch of stray cats. Ignorant of the building's deeper connection to his mate, Dhiren nodded and offered an approving smile to the female. Following her inside, he was taken aback at her sudden suggestion and hesitated before addressing it. "...Do you... really thin that's a good idea?" His ears tilted back in unease; no one had told him but he knew he hadn't been the one that scared off the tom who had threatened Alice that one time. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he knew he would have had his tail handed to him if Aidan hadn't stepped in. Even so, he coughed and continued quietly, "I'll do my best... but I really wonder about the effectiveness of this plan."

Hell, Alice herself was probably a better fighter than he was at this point, who was he kidding? Bringing a hand to his chin as he followed his mate to a secretive staircase, the Somali flipped his tail pensively. Any way he looked at it, he knew he would need to get some help. Going through all the cats he knew well enough to even entertain the thought of asking for help from, he was presented with two options; Demi and Tempo. Demi was quickly tossed out, there was no way he would be taught defense from a kid, and so Tempo seemed to be his only option. One bright orange ear twitched; he would not enjoy having to ask for this, even if he and the Ruins leader were on friendlier terms. Lost in thought, Dhiren was becoming oblivious to what he was supposed to be paying attention to.
