Name: Dante Fidelier
Nicknames: n/a
Gender: Male
Age: 22
School: n/a~ Fav. Food: He likes nothing specific, but his general likes veer more towards fried food. For example, like chicken katsu or tempura shrimp~
Hated Food: He generally hates soft, slimy stuff. TOFU D< ITS ALL SQUIGGLY. GO AND DIE IN THE ROTTING DEPTHS OF HELL.
--
Hobbies:
» Reading: Or to be specific, he reads manga. Whenever he has a free moment to do so, you'll find him with the latest issue! He actually likes ninjas and fighting stories (as long as they're not too long, b/c hes impatient that way) - not those Mary sue falling into love with the main dude because their sparkling eyes creep him out. Extremely. At first, he was like '...wut?' at this new revelation that people actually have the time draw this stuff.
» Kendo Club: It all started with a curious glance at a sparring match, and a spark of curiosity. When he visited the club, and actually held a sword in his hand, well, to say the least, it felt pretty nice. When he used to go to school, he invested countless hours into practice and staying longer than everyone else. However, out of school, he doesn't get in as much time as he likes. But he still comes to the club's practices every week or so, acting as an alumni and guest. It's an ideal hobby for Dante, both physically and mentally. For the physical aspect, it acts as a form of exercise for the older male - a brief reprieve from his life, and as an outlet for stress. For mental purposes, it's a way to test himself. He wants to see far he can go - especially since Kendo teaches and applies alot of concepts and mindsets that we use in daily life. It wouldn't be a lie to say that much of his mental attitude and strength is from Kendo and it's teachings. But lastly, its there as pleasure. It satisfied Dante's thirst for challenges, fights, and satisfaction! It's a way to find stronger people, giving him a direct way to face off against others, and experience the thrill of competition.
» Building/Fixing: It wouldn't be an exaggeration to see that he's the handyman of the house. In fact, it might've been better to have him as a amateur construction worker. He loves hands-on stuff, things that require a hammer and heavy lifting. He's probably out making that new table or fixing your roof shingles for you or making that fence you need. Although he is okay with stuff that require a wrench like plumbing, but he's partial to wood work than metal work. (And especially not technology work. he has no skills with those). He can't work with delicate or small stuff, preferring things to be a large scale. As for directions and stuff, he can't figure out the complicated stuff but a manual or simply observing how stuff is already created is A-OK! He's constantly recruited by clubs to help (like creating the frame that hold the background for drama club) or just simply volunteers. He helps out wherever they need him, like the local restaurants, or the elderly lady living alone in her house who has a hole in her roof.
General Personality: A rough, short tempered young man who has slightly rude language to match, who is often prone to going GRAHHHH! But for all of his faults, he is strong, and has a heart of gold beneath his actions.
--
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Crimson Red
Hair: Black. Messy bangs (at least mid eye - eyebrow level), with longer side bangs, hair tied into a ponytail. some parts/strands are swept back. (subject to change)
Face: I'm not exactly sure how a face works, but I can say that it's it's more manly, most likely to be more square/edgy than a round or slender face.
Body: His body is more on the muscular side? Broad chest. (But not to the point of bulky, or overdoing it, ok)
Fuku: Gold

Virtues:
» Self-reliant - "Don't blame other people for your problems.": There is no god for you to rely on. There isn't any reason to fail, but the result of your own lack of talents. Blame it on fate? Karma? I don't think so! This is why you, and only yourself, have to strive to become better, become stronger. Ultimately, it all falls upon you, and if you can't bear under that pressure, who will? Deep inside of Dante, he won't fall prey to temptation, or immoral ways. He knows exactly what he wants in life, and exactly how to get there. He does what he wants to do, and doesn't do what he doesn't want to do. It's all very straight forward. In regular life, this would include cheating, peer pressure, even doing drugs! He'll stick his middle finger, tell you to 'kindly get your a** over there, or he'll kick it where it belongs OK!' Anything along the way, he accepts all consequences/blame for his actions or faults. But for all of his own strength, he tries to give a push to others as well, by encouraging them in his own way.
» Sociable - "Why aren't you joining?": No matter how much he complains, Dante is the type to reach his hand out to the perpetual loner or class nerd. He does it out of a sincere need of wanting them to join, not out of any need to look 'good' since he really doesn't give a s**t about reputation or that sort of crap. Essentially, he's the type (or messenger or delivery boy) that gathers people together. If he sees someone missing, he'll deliberately look for them, and try to get them to join the party. While he, himself is fine being by himself, (because he knows that self-imposed solitary is different from just being alone because of circumstances) he makes an effort to make sure that other people are not.
» Devoted/Protective - "I'll do that.": To the people that he devotes them to, he devotes to them his heart, body, and soul. He doesn't take the people he values lightly - he would never think of anything to harm or hurt them. In the same way, he tries his best to never let the people he loves be hurt in any way, matter, or form if he can help it. If they needed anything, he would do it without a second thought. (Don't be fooled by his grumbling now!) He'll always take the brunt of things. He'll always want to keep them away from danger, or even the simplest items - like from getting wet from the rain by giving them his umbrella. His protectiveness had a gentlemanly sort of feel to it, always thinking about them rather than himself.
» Competitive - "Let's have a little fun.": Dante hates to be bored. He isn't one for intellectual challenges (but it certainly doesn't mean that he is dumb) but rather, physical challenges are his forte. And he loves a good challenge. He'll try new things (provided they're sane and grounded.) I'm going to say that this virtue stems from his self-confidence, because he believes that he can succeed. In the very rare circumstance and at worst, he (believes) may tie with the other person. Anything that alleviates his boredom is good enough. He's not going to spend his day at home, waiting for something to happen. He's going to go out there, and do it!
Flaws:
» Impatient - "FFTT - I CAN'T STAND IT.": "No, let me -- I don't think you're doing that right, wouldn't it be faster this - LET ME DO IT." He's really not the type that can wait around and have you mess up 5 million times before you finally get it. He also isn't the type to stand around, waiting for hours on end. Since he often has to prioritize between a lot of stuff, he really does know the value of time. He has better things to do, and he suggests that you GET OUT OF THE WAY if you're going to be useless.
» Possessive - "Don't touch.": Don't touch that. He doesn't share anything that is his. He has very few precious things (for fear of losing them) but the quality certainly makes up for quantity! For anyone who tries to take them, he is always encouraged to teach them a 'creative' lesson in what is 'appropriate' to steal, and what is not. But you should definitely not try for his stuff.
» Serious - "What...?": Wait? What? I DON'T UNDERSTAND. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? To be frank, jokes are lost on him. (And other silly things as well, such as a girl's fashion sense or a lover's tiff) He's not cut out for lewd or funny references to Chuck Norris or James Bond. He'll stand there for a couple of minutes, wondering what the hell you just meant or said. And to be frank also, he really just doesn't want to hear your jokes. Blahblah, lets stop wasting time and get down to business. He doesn't have all day to be here, so make it good! O:<

Cavalier: Cavalier Aion of the Core
Challenge:
Uniform: Gold
Weapon: A rapier. He can work with this - any man should be able to, if they're worth their salt.
AS A CAVALIERUniverse 1. Simply everything: everything that exists and everything that does not exist. Core 1. The central or innermost part. 2. The heart or inner part of a thing 3. A basic, essential, or enduring part (as of an individual, a class, or an entity) 4. central, basic, or most important Why a core/universe cavalier?
'Core' suggests strength, stability, and a foundation. The purpose of a core is to support everything else. The reason I can see Dante becoming Cavalier Aion is because his own strength can become a pillar of support for himself and others. He's strong, strong enough to take on the weaknesses of others. He would never falter, think to abandon anybody, and the depth of his loyalty is only second to Kunzite. Whatever he dedicates himself to, he's not gonna waver! So in the sense of not "important leadership core" but "a core" that will be there even after everyone else is gone, a point that you can come back to, and that will will stay there consistently.
Universe can also be seen as a sphere that 'encompasses everything' (everything meaning human knowledge, basic laws, etc.), so I also see Dante similar in that aspect with his group virtue. He acts as a connection between people, and possibly other cavaliers.
How would Dante treat or work with the other cavaliers/prince?
The prince has his undying loyalty. The end. Enough said. As for the other cavaliers, Dante would treat them with respect and work with them, but they would not gain their loyalty unless they proved themselves to him somehow. Once they have earned his loyalty though, he'll believe in the best of them to the very end, no matter what they do or have done.
As a cavalier, most of his actions are subtle. If you interpret core as a part that's essential to the function of everything else, that's him in a nutshell. He is going to be working behind the scenes, he's not looking to be the center of attention or to gain the most fame. He isn't there to look pretty. He's there to make everything function as it should. In fact, if you were to ask him to be in a group picture, he'd definitely be in back, or even better.. Let him work the camera! He doesn't mind not being there, the camera-man is important after all.
He would do whatever is necessary to the well-being of his senshi, prince, and cavaliers, even to the extent of looking like a bad guy if he needs to.
As a regular guy, he's there to listen to your problems, offer a silent shoulder, or come to your rescue. He isn't an expressive person, but he is sensitive to the feelings of others.

Hi!
Both of his hobbies struck me as very... Nipponphile, and there is nothing wrong with this, but it might be nice to balance it out with some sort of hobby that relates to his sphere that isn't also Japanese. Jenga comes to mind. rofl Or any sort of thing where the failure to build a strong foundation will cause negative results in the long run.
I would also recommend adding a fourth Virtue/Flaw, as it gives you an opportunity to flesh out your character further and give them more depth. 3nodding

I've been having trouble figuring out how to present my crit for you here, sorry. XD; Bear with me. Okay, so -- on the technical end, please don't be messing with the form, we'd really appreciate it being all nice and neat and ordered on one post. <3 Sorry if this seems a little patronizing, but it's a collective pet peeve / kind of jarring that you split the whole thing between two posts. I like that you've thought to put up a "general personality" since that tells me what I should be looking for, but that might be better above or below the form than stuck in there as an extra section. With that in mind, let's think about the general personality: you got this rough, gruff outwardly mean dude with a soft center. Which is cool, you got an archetype to base off of -- but then his trait set is a bit conflicting and doesn't reflect it as well as it could. '_'a Correct me if I'm wrong about what direction you're trying to push him in, but reading over his virtues, it really comes off like you're trying to still make him somehow nice even though he's outwardly supposed to be an unlikable guy. Which, this kind of undoes the gruff exterior you want him to have -- don't be afraid to make your character mean and unapproachable, people will still want to RP with your character if he isn't naturally nice. The personality traits you have are a little conflicting, and you seem to be justifying the fact he has them by adding side-notes of "but he's still mean!!" to these traits you'd see more readily on a nice person. Please try to decide on whether you want him to be actively friendly or unfriendly, he can't really be both at the same time -- I'm basing all the below crit on the "unfriendly" option, so bear with me. I'm looking particularly at his Sociable trait with this one, it just doesn't seem to fit, I'd suggest something that fits with Self-Reliant more: if he doesn't need other people around to feel assured and confident and doesn't particularly like most of them, why would he even be so friendly around them? On his Devoted trait, I'm going to be honest, traits like these are a bit of a pet peeve; your description falls under the umbrella of "is loyal to people he cares about" and "doesn't like seeing his friends get hurt," which really aren't unique characteristics so much as they are characteristics of being human. It would definitely be worth it to write out if someone didn't have these tendencies, but because your character does, I think it might be a better idea if you found a different virtue. XD Keep in mind that a virtue doesn't necessarily have to showcase how likable or "good" your character is, things that they're good at and good for also count as virtues. Competitive, I'd rename and reword a bit because it seems less like he's motivated by victory and more that he's motivated by having something to do. So, Hardworking or Driven or something along those lines a bit better. Okay, on flaws: Impatient is good, but it sounds more like he goes into something convinced that everyone around him is going to screw up all the time, and only he can Do Things Right? If I'm right -- this would be a really fun trait to play against, spotlight on that a little more, I like it. XD That in mind, I... think you need more thought on his flaw set in general. For Possessive, the way you have it written out makes it way too difficult to play on for it to count. Flaws need to apply to more generalized situations in order for it to work, if you want to keep this one, a way you could do it is to make him more irrationally protective of ALL of his personal possessions, or possibly give him some paranoia that people are always after him stuff. Otherwise it's way too situation-specific, and kind of relies on him running into someone who's a total jerk for it to even be used in an RP. The Serious trait's more of a... personality description than a flaw imo, unless you're trying to make him sort of dense and out of the social loop? Is he so super srs bsns all the time that he completely filters out or is always trying to move a conversation away from things that aren't super srs bsns? Does he hate small talk because it's a waste of time? Also, if he's mean / gruff / complains all the time, why isn't this a flaw? People who b***h all the time are annoying, you mention him grumbling quite often in his virtue set -- it should be in his flaw set. Along with this, keep in mind that at least one flaw should count as a weakness -- something that the character is bad at, or makes it really suck to be around him / allows the "spotlight" to be shined on another character once in a while. I'm saying this in particular because right now the player seems a bit... protagonisty?? -- hard to play off, he seems like he'd be dominating every RP he's in and that's no fun for other players. Okay, last thing -- I agree with McFrogLegs's comment about him having a few too many Japanophilic traits: in spite of his American / European background, he reads manga, does kendo, loves Japanese foods. There are two things you can do here: either cut down on Japan's influence on his life, or lump everything together into a Japanophilia hobby. If you go with the later, it would actually a really fun shtick to have if you let his SRS BSNS vibe leach into it and have him be all hilariously serious about his manga and his Japanese food and so on -- irritable badasses do not get all fixated on the exports of Animu Land. They just don't.
