The air was cold. Almost like the water in the air was turning to ice slicing the inside of Manorama's lungs each time she took in a breath. Painful, yet refreshing if that made any sense at all. It was how the coast range was. She was there, with a male who she had slipped away from a bit. The one she thought could be the one.... But she didn't know if that could be true or not yet. He hadn't seen her true shades yet. No matter, today was one of those bad days. One that she needed to get away while he slept before he saw her and ran off.
She wasn't sure how else to go about it. She grumbled and wished that someone was here to play with. Someone to hurt, yet think she's just being playful. How life would be fun to have her own children to corrupt Life seened still and quiet for the most part.
Letladika made his way threw the land. Coughing every once in while from the air that seemed to be too cold to breath. Or at least, Almost too cold. He had no idea what he was getting himself into. His daughter was fully grown. His mate and him had grown apart, but slowly working things out. Life was slowly getting on track. Everything was almost perfect.
A smile crossed his face as he was walking out in a clearing. He hadn't spotted the orange thing in the distance, for he was too busy thinking about Sauda and Seriti. They were his world. He yawned and finally peaked around. Stopping instantly has his eyes fell upon the lioness sitting there
Manorama's eyes fixed on the brown creature in front of her. A perfect victim for her little mind games. Were, in her head, everyone's having fun. She thought that everyone LOVED her games no matter how bad they could be. Her tail twitched as they both stood there. Her ears fell down, and a smile upon her face.
She lunged for the brown thing. He was smaller then she was, but not by much. But that didn't stop her. No, even if he was bigger then herself she'd probably have lunged at him. One day, it'd get her killed, but so far she's be rather lucky.
Letlatika panicked. He didn't know what to do. He could fight her off, but from the moment he had spotted her looking at him, he kind of froze. He didn't move until she started to move towards him. His mind was racing. His mouth became dry instantly, lungs burning as he realized he needed to take a breath. He ran towards her. Why was he doing this?
He wasn't sure, but his body seemed to know exactly what it was doing. He turned before she could hit him. Hey... that was kinda good. He didn't bother to look back. If he did he'd be in more of a panic.
Manorama thought that he was going to actually play with her. But noooo! The last moment he turned and started to run off. Causing Manorama to fall before actually getting back up and moving towards the way the other had run. She wasn't going to give up that easy, no sir. She wasn't going to let some fluff ball beat her in a game of chicken. Or was it that she beat him? She didn't know, nor cared. He wasn't suppose to turn after running at her. That wasn't part of the game.
She snorted and started to pick up speed. She wasn't that close to him, but wasn't that far either. The land was pretty plain, so it wasn't that hard to spot him anyways. It just seemed harder to walk on, since half of it was bits of sand, and the other half was dirt. It gave for a really nice work out.
Letlatika was just running, for the sake of running know. Thinking that he had lost the thing.... He thought it was a cheetah, or perhaps a lion. He wasn't fully sure. Panic was still in his mind though. His heart was still racing. The icy air continued to feel as if it was ripping in the inside of his lungs. His eyes were watering from the pain of it. But that didn't stop him from moving. He started to slow down. He couldn't take the icy wind any longer. His panting became shallow and short. Now he was more doing a trot.
It was easy for Manorama to ignore the pain from every breath she took. For she was already use to it. And her mind was on something else. She was hunting... To a sense of the words. She had no plans to eat the other, or kill him for that matter. She just wanted to have a little fun. And he happened to be there. She was surprised. Surprised that the creature didn't try to fight back. It was a male. Or that's what she got from the cent of him.
She was still running, even after she saw him slow. She was trying to run as silent as she could, but she had stopped on a stick making a loud cracking sound as her paws softly pounded the ground. s**t.
Letladika heard the cracking of something, and jumped away from the sound. Pulling his head towards where the lioness was coming from. Panic once again started to go up his throat. Almost like he was going to puke everything he had eaten earlier up. This wasn't cool. Why wouldn't this thing leave him alone? Maybe she had some type of disease. He certainly didn't want to catch that.
He took another deep breath, forcefully, before starting to run. This time a different way then he was originally running. He couldn't lead that thing back to his family, no. He didn't know how dangerous it was. Most cats had those nails that hid then came out when they wanted them to. And most the time they were fairly sharp and long. He didn't want to deal with that.
Manorama was almost exhausted. She almost had him. Almost wasn't good enough. She didn't feel like chasing after him. Not now. Not when he noticed her. The icy air finally caught up to her as she slowed and stopped. Her mouth wide open taking in as much air as she could, but then soon regretting it shortly after. Her lungs burned from the cold, but she'd have to live with that for now.
