Saturday mornings were usually composed of 2oo% lazing around, but not today. Ji-Yeon had made a resolution, to do one of the most feared chores in wintertime, [besides shoveling snow], and that was holiday shopping. Even behind layers of warm cotton quilts, and her bed placed by the radiator, just having her window viewing the frosty wind outside, made Ji-Yeon feel like shivering. Mustering up her courage, she reluctantly left the safety and warmth under the covers, put on tattered old slippers, and made for the dining room, her stomach grumbling in encouragement. Even at such an early point in the morning, both mother and father had left, leaving rushed Post-Its and ceramic plates of Korean food covered with Saran wrap. Cringing at the stench of microwaved food, her faithful canine companion, Yuna, the Jindo dog, made her appearance too, excitedly licking at Ji-Yeon's palms, eager that her beloved owner was awake. Offering a sincere smile to the dog, she spoke, "You don't feel like breakfast today either, hon? Me neither." Softly, she ruffled the dogs' fur, and dragged her legs next door to commence the daily morning routine. Brushing teeth, taking a shower, now, it was time for choosing the outfit. She'd have to look nice, who knew who she might meet at the boisterous mall. Ji-Yeon rubbed her chin thoughtfully, and grabbed a long black sweater-dress, with her warmest ebony leggings. Black was most definitely a slimming color, and she wanted to attract as much sunlight as possible. However, that itself, was too plain. Her eyes landed on a newly-bought fuzzy white cardigan, having slight pastel hints of pink and purple. Accessories, accessories. She'd have to keep warm, but a scarf would do. A regal shade of purple would do for today, as she excitedly grabbed hold of the long piece of cloth. A bear-shaped purse that came in a set with the cardigan lie on her bed, and she picked that too eagerly. [ Ta-Da!] She began to ascend the stairs, upon tripping over her own feet on the last step. Heck, at this point in her life, this kind of damage was simply nothing. Ji-Yeon simply brushed off possible lint on her clothes, and began to put on her worn-out brown Chucks. However, while doing so, her most calm companion, Yuna, began to whimper. She'd fed her, she'd changed the doggy diaper, and she'd given her a change of clothes. What had she forgotten? Oh my goodness! Morning prayer! "Thanks, Yuna!" Ji-Yeon chirped, flashing the Jindo a brilliant smile, an accomplished bark was her reply. Kneeling down, she clasped both hands together, and began her lack-luster morning prayer. Dear God, I thank you that I am living to see another cheerful morning. I thank you that I have the most wonderful parents, and a loyal dog that could almost be my younger sister. I ask for your protection when crossing streets, and surviving the stampede of others shopping today. Amen. A simple-minded one, but one, nevertheless. Waving goodbye to her dog, she stepped out onto the pavement, wind and snow furiously blowing into her face, but she defiantly walked towards the shopping center.

Shopping for Parker was not easy.
Though Dani had set out optimistically earlier that morning, having every intention of purchasing the final gift on her list and being completely finished with shopping, it was proving to be more difficult than she'd thought. First of all, she still wasn't exactly sure what steampunk was, except that Parker liked it and it was kind of retro. She was also pretty sure that there weren't any specific steampunk stores, at least not that she'd heard of in Destiny City, so she'd been browsing just about everywhere trying to find something. Anything, really.
Geez, she'd never had such a hard time shopping for someone! She should've just googled it, she thought with a frown, and had it shipped to her super fast. She'd almost done that, actually, except expedited shipping cost an arm and a leg, and if she could find it at a store, she was definitely going to avoid that kind of extra price tag.
It didn't look like she was going to find anything even remotely steampunk-y, though. Not only that, the guy behind the counter was being rude.
Temper in her face, she raised her good arm, pointing at him rudely. "You're not being helpful at all, and that is your job."
True enough, right? She'd just asked a simple question, and he'd laughed at her. Laughed. What a complete jerk!
On top of that, she was tired of being told "No, we don't have anything like that in stock, why don't you try-" insert some other store all the way across the mall. Dani was fond of exercise, sure, but she didn't like running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to find a present. Especially not when she had other things she'd like to do that day.
"Look, girl, I'm sorry." The boy had to only be a few years older than her, and she could tell by his attitude. Also, he was completely disrespectful. "We don't have that stuff. Do you even know what steampunk is?"
Cheeks bright, because she didn't, really, and she didn't like being called on it, Dani snapped, "You don't have to be a jerk. You are seriously out of line, you know. I should talk to your manager or something."
Of course, the last thing Dani wanted to do was get patted and mollified by some frazzled worker, but the threat was there. The boy straightened up a little, and she saw resentment come into his eyes, but at least the smile dropped off his stupid smirky face.
"Sorry, miss." He glanced behind her, and she realized there was someone in line. "I'm afraid we can't help you."
Throwing her hands up, aware she looked completely ridiculous considering one was in a dark purple cast, she returned, "Fine! But your customer service stinks!"
She didn't have much dignity left, at this point, and when she turned, the people in the store all carefully managed to look anywhere but at her. Empty-handed once again, she stormed her way out of the store, not caring how childish she looked. She was mad, all right?! She had a right to be mad!
Of course, being mad didn't give her a right to go crashing into some poor passerby as she was leaving the store.
"Hey! Watch it!"
Being mad also didn't give her the right to pretend it was their fault, either, but hey. Dani was angry. She wasn't exactly at her best.
Scowling, she shoved her hair over her shoulder with a huff, hesitating a fraction of a second when she saw the girl trying to keep her balance. Okay, she wasn't feeling too great, but the least she could do was make sure the girl didn't like, face plant or something.
Reaching out to steady her, Dani offered grudgingly, "That was probably my fault. Sorry."

Softly patting piled snow off her clothes, she smiled, preparing herself for war. Ji-Yeon had barely stepped within the mall, and she'd been pushed a dozen times already. But, that was part of the excitement, wasn't it? She'd been a good daughter, and had bought Christmas presents for both her parents, (and Yuna) about a month ago. Since she was new to the neighborhood, she had yet to make any friends; saving her several Andrew Jacksons. The shopping center had such a bubbly atmosphere, it tripled her already hyper state. Skipping up the escalator Ji-Yeon received several glares or so, but hastily apologized.
Now; the reason she had come here today, was to spoil herself. Her wardrobe was flooded with clothes, no need for more. However, she was interested in buying a new pair of ice skates. Dark brown irises gleaming with mischief, Ji-Yeon practically ran to the nearest sporting goods store. Upon nearing the store, the female was surprised to see a herd of people gathered not in front of, but around the store. Even above the roaring conversations of hundreds of civilians, a sort of argument could be heard, between a female and a male. She'd hate to intrude, but, maybe, she'd be able to settle this fight, before security got to them.
Hurrying towards the entrance, at the same time, a girl around her age with a head of luscious sky-blue hair, and honeydew eyes collided into her. No, it was more like Ji-Yeon collided into her. Just as she was about to apologize like there was no tomorrow, the pretty face contorted into one of anger, and commented, "Hey! Watch it!" Goodness gravy. Way to go, Ji-Yeon. You just hurt an already injured person, noticing the female's purple cast! The girl had every right to be angry. She tried to steady herself, but she was easily disoriented, and just as she was about to fall on her face for the umpteenth time, a strong hand steadied her. "That was probably my fault. Sorry."
Glossy lips began to wobble. Ji-Yeon was completely moved! For the victim to come back and help the evil doer. Hurriedly, she began to apologize. "Absolutely not! It was completely all me. I was running like a mad-man, and, goodness. I'm just really sorry. Forgive me? I know it's holiday season, and I was just so caught up in the mood, I was careless. Is your arm okay?" She rushed this all in several seconds, so much so that the girl probably didn't understand a single word. "Thank you, though! I would have totally fell again, if it weren't for you." Ji-Yeon offered a sincere smile. However, as she was, her mind slowly began to move its' cogs. Blue hair, decorated with hair-ties that resembled clouds. Ji-Yeon recognized the girl, from somewhere. Ah! "Excuse me for asking...but, do you attend Meadowview?"

It was difficult to keep up a temper when the person in front of her was babbling so apologetically. Though Dani might have tried, just because she was in a rare bad mood and she didn't get to indulge those often, her better sense won over and she allowed the clouds to pass from her eyes. After all, even though it had (technically) probably been her fault, the girl in front of her was willing to take responsibility, and even apologized for it. It didn't get much more agreeable than that, right?
"It's no problem. We're both okay, so it's fine, right?" Though she could only decipher some of what the girl was saying, Dani thought she got the gist of it, and her reply was pretty standard fare. If it put her at ease and moved them past the whole blocking-the-crowd-and-talking stage, she was all for it.
Speaking of crowds, people were getting impatient. She saw someone bump the girl in front of her, and Dani's brows drew together, annoyance back on her face in an instant. They'd barely been standing there, honestly.
"Hey! Have a little patience, will you?" Fiercely, she lifted her broken arm, making sure to show them that they'd almost jostled an injured person. Hmph. "We're moving!"
For such a petite, cute girl, she could really raise her voice if she needed to. The man looked embarrassed and quickly walked away, giving the girls a wide berth. That'd show him.
Gripping the other girl's arm, light enough that it wouldn't hurt but firm enough to direct her, Dani gave her a brief look and smiled a little. "Yeah. I'm Dani, I go to Meadowview. Here, come on, let's go get something to drink. I'm really annoyed right now, and I could stand some cocoa. You too, right?"
Another victim of Dani's neverending assumption that everyone wanted to hang out with her all the time, absolutely.

Thankfully, the girl didn't throw a fit of anger at Ji-Yeon, as she had expected. Instead, she turned the situation into a mellow one, definitely relaxing the females' nerves, which had been super-tense a few seconds ago. They had a moment of silence, though it was interrupted by an impudent man, who had the nerve to hurt her new acquaintance. Just as she was about to frown and complain, the blue-head boldly commented, leaving the man crouching in shame. That showed him! [Despite the fact she did absolutely nothing.]
Dani, as she was called, offered Ji-Yeon a friendly smile, while gripping her arm. "Cocoa sounds fantastic. It suits the weather outside." She was glad that Dani had taken the initiative in their friendship. If Ji-Yeon would have been told do the same, she would have been a stuttering mess. Ji-Yeon admired Dani's confidence, as she always wished she could do the same. This time, she wasn't going to shy away from meeting new people.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upon arriving at Apollo's Coffee, Ji-Yeon had eagerly volunteered to choose their drinks for the afternoon. For herself, a Green Tea Latte, and for Dani, a Caramel Macchiato. It was a miracle that the drinks didn't spill on her way back to the table, the Korean female was practically leaping with bliss. Grinning from ear to ear, Ji-Yeon instantaneously knew what she wanted to talk about with Dani. Gossiping and the like could wait, but the pressing matter at hand, was the Sailor Senshi. Could it be possible that Dani knew anything about them?

After the disappointment of attempting to find something for Parker, a relaxing hour in a cafe with a warm drink sounded like the best possible kind of scenario. Not to mention she had company, which was always a plus; she didn't know Ji-Yeon very well (actually, she honestly only knew her name and that they went to the same school) but she seemed nice enough. It wouldn't hurt to kill a little time together, and frankly, she was sick of elbowing through people to get where she was going in the mall. Even with her cast, which provided some measure of consideration from others, it was tough.
All but throwing herself into a chair, she waited while Ji-Yeon ordered their drinks, jiggling one foot in time to the music as she did. She liked little places like Apollo's, because the atmosphere was great and the drinks were usually really good. She wasn't a fan of coffee in general, as it made her way too hyper when she drank more than twelve or so ounces, plus it was totally empty calories. Once in a while, though, she indulged, usually when she was out with friends.
Now seemed like a good exception, especially since the day had started out so crummy.
Head bobbing when Ji-Yeon approached, she smiled as her classmate set the drinks down and seated herself across from her.
"Thanks." She accepted her drink cupped her hands around it and brought it up for a sniff. It smelled so good. "So, we totally both go to Meadowview... but I can't remember seeing you around."

Ji-Yeon softly smiled. It was nice to see Dani pleasantly surprised at the flavor she had chosen. Slightly giggling, she cupped her own piping hot caffeine-filled liquid between her own petite hands. "So, we totally both go to Meadowview...but I can't remember seeing you around." Aha. Ji-Yeon had especially prepared herself for this question. With a some-what embarrassed laugh, she explained. "Well, I just moved to this school towards the end of last week. Other then that, I'm just a hard person to notice." She never liked admitting her flaws, but, Dani seemed to be like the type that wouldn't particularly judge based on that.
After several more sips that warmed her to the core, Ji-Yeon focused her attention on the flat-screen that was hung at Apollo's Coffee. Yet another report on sailor-suited females. Her previous thoughts of Sailor Senshi arose again. Trying to bring it up casually, she inquired, "Hmm. They're showing a lot of news reports lately on them. It intrigues me. The whole deal on these sailor senshi is simply mysterious. What's your take?"

Ah, Ji-Yeon was new. That explained it; even if Dani didn't know everyone she went to school with personally, she'd generally recognize a face even if she didn't have a name to go along with it. Though she disagreed with Ji-Yeon being forgettable, she supposed it seemed that way when she was sitting across from a girl who had teal hair. After all, once someone saw Dani, they tended to not forget her, and not just because of her appearance. She had the kind of boisterous, pushy personality that simply refused to be forgotten.
"I noticed you, right? So we're good." She grinned, taking a sip of her coffee, and glancing over when Ji-Yeon did to see the report flash on the television. Her brow furrowed at the subject, as those delivering the news so rarely knew what they were actually talking about, but was content to let it pass by.
Except, of course, her new acquaintance wanted to talk about it. Well, Dani could talk; it wasn't like she was going to impart the particularly sensitive knowledge that she was a senshi herself, so there was no danger. If anything, she wanted to set the word on the senshi straight, if only to one person.
Catching Ji-Yeon's eyes, her own remarkably serious, she said in a clear, no-nonsense voice, "I'm alive because of sailor senshi. They saved my life. I'm not even kidding."
No, she couldn't be kidding, because she still had her Absolutely Serious Face on. "I think all this conspiracy about them is ridiculous, because they're obviously out there fighting bad guys. I mean, I was practically killed coming home from a walk one night, so I'd know."
Bringing her coffee up to her lips once more, she sipped, waiting to see what her new friend's reaction to this would be.

For a second, a wave of terror struck Ji-Yeon at the intense and stoic gaze of Dani. It was a serious matter, though. However, hearing Dani's opinion practically made Ji-Yeon spill her cup of tea over in alarm. Not a single person had said a good thing about the senshi, and the media was taking advantage of there. They presented them as a force of evil, to be warded off, to be feared. Ji-Yeon wasn't furious, at all. In fact, she was heads-over-heels blissful at the fact that someone understood her! These were the good guys! The citizens of Destiny City were so blind to the blatant truth, these teenage girls and boys were saving their asses.
Yet, the media continued to portray them as malicious, and it really got to her. Dark brown eyes widened as Dani told her story. "That's amazing! I'm incredibly jealous!" Quickly realizing her error, she stumbled over her words, "I-I mean not the death part of course, I mean, them saving you and all!" Ji-Yeon blushed, but continued on with her opinion. "To be frank, I'm glad they're here in Destiny City. I've yet to encounter any of them, but I'm wishing I do. They've got incredibly fashion sense!" Ji-Yeon joked. It was a relief to find that both girls shared something else in common. She stopped mid-giggle, when a man, that gave off a rather dangerous vibe, began to ran towards the direction of Apollo's Coffee. He was shady really, his whole attire. She hated being prejudiced against criminals, but, she really couldn't help it. They were bad after all. Ji-Yeon's eyes widened as he quickly began to pick up the pace, towards the shop. From the opposite side of the shop, she saw a woman, adorned in a similar fashion, also rushing towards the coffee-house. That was when her gaze landed on a gleaming item...a weapon of a sort. A freakin' gun. Nobody else was watching her, but Ji-Yeon was, as the female pulled the fire alarm, setting dozens of stressed holiday-shoppers dropping their bags, and running off in hundreds of directions, survival instinct kicking in. Just as Ji-Yeon was about to warn Dani, the man from the other direction came in, with a pistol in each hand. Besides Dani and herself, there were only a few civilians left. One, two, three, four. And that was including the two staff members. "GET DOWN ON THE FLOOR. THIS IS A HOLD-UP. WE WILL NOT HARM YOU. WE ONLY WANT THE MONEY." He pressed a button, one that shut off the shop off from any help, any security, any police officers, but not before the female partner ran in, cackling. Oh my goodness, and for the second time in the day, Ji-Yeon prayed, for real this time.

Beaming with pleasure, her serious expression entirely gone, Dani decided she definitely liked Ji-Yeon. Of course, she couldn't say anything about being a senshi herself, but it was nice to know there was at least one civilian that didn't think they were a bunch of terrorists running around at dark. Really, how insulting. It was enough to make a girl want to do less for the unsuspecting public, considering how ungrateful they were.
But it wasn't about recognition. (Unfortunately.) It was about doing her duty, and doing the right thing! And she believed in that, she really did, with everything she had. It would just be nice to have someone appreciate her once in a while.
She opened her mouth, though what she was going to say was quickly swallowed. In what seemed like a matter of seconds, there were intruders in the store, people with masks and guns, and Dani's head was reeling. She knew better than anyone that terrible things happened, but seriously, in the middle of the day? At the coffee shop? Even as a senshi, she wasn't prepared for random, senseless acts of violence, especially not in the civilian world.
This wasn't the Negaverse. This was just humans, humans being corrupt and greedy and dangerous.
Without hesitating, she grabbed Ji-Yeon's hand, dragging the girl under the table. In the commotion, she spilled her coffee, the contents pooling over the table and dripping onto the floor in a steady stream. Damn it.
Eyes locked with Ji-Yeon's, she gripped the other girl's hand tightly, whispering fiercely, "Stay calm. Stay calm, stay down with me. It'll be okay."
The god-damned bastards. Fervently, she wished she could do something; henshin up, beat the crap out of them, save the day. But she was the senshi of powder, so what could she do? Fill the room with powder, make them panic and randomly fire their weapons? Would they even be able to fire? Would they start attacking people?
Fear twisted in her stomach, and she realized with shame that she didn't know what to do. Worse, she didn't want to do anything - she just wanted to be a girl, just sitting there, just waiting for it all to pass. She didn't want to be Sailor Magellan, she just wanted to be Daniela Rymner. She didn't want the responsibility of stopping the bad guys, didn't want to be the one to blame if something went wrong and someone died again.
Doubt filled her eyes, and she whispered, "It'll be all right."

Ji-Yeon didn't resist as the confident Dani clutched her hand, dragging them into a very temporary haven. Drip, drip, drip. The glass cup had tipped, leaking coffee from above. As Dani locked her own green irises with her very own brown, she realized the reassuring words were empty, for she sensed fear. It did however, make Ji-Yeon feel a little safer. It'll be all right. They could only pray for the best.
The male snidely grinned towards the cashier, who was visibly shaking, hands up in the air. "Just give me the money, and we won't hurt you. Or, at least we'll try not to." At the latter part of his introduction, a sadistic gleam was visible in his pupils. Disgusting. Then, focusing his attention back on his operation, he ordered towards the female, "Lilith, I'll just be grabbing the money, and anything else I can find. You want some coffee?" the man winked. Perhaps they would be able to get out safely? However, that shard of hope was instantly crushed in his next demand, "Check the customers out. Grab whatever you can. Jewelry, money, watches, but you know my personal favorite; diamonds." Then he concentrated on putting the pistol towards the cashiers' forehead once more.
The lithe woman in black scanned the room quietly at first. Drip, drip, drip. It was the only true sound in the room, besides the threats of the other man. It was then that the woman adopted a similar gleam as the man had before; a mischievous intent to kill, as if humans were play-things. She practically skipped towards their table, as the woman, Lilith bent down, looking Ji-Yeon directly in the eyes. "My, my, what do we have here?" the woman giggled, eyeing Ji-Yeon's earrings. "Say, is that ruby?" the woman stretched out a lanky arm, to feel the earring. She simply quivered underneath the woman's touch. The earrings, she could throw away the fact that it was ruby. It simply had a sentimental meaning. Earrings that had been passed down to her mother, and now to her, on Ji-Yeon's grandmother's death-bed. She wished she was braver, stronger, to possess the ability to stand up for herself, and for the rest of the people here. Lilith continued, in a mocking tone, "Now, kindly hand it over, or do I have to rip it out?" It was a threat. The emphasis on 'rip' was blatant.

If only they could have just stayed there, hands gripped tight, and waited for the worst to pass. If only they could have been normal teenage girls, and some crazy robbers hadn't decided to hit the coffee shop at the exact moment they were trying to enjoy it.
If only the universe didn't seem to enjoy picking on Dani.
Here she was, watching as some woman named Lillith was reaching for Ji-Yeon's ears, wishing she didn't have to do anything. It was cowardly, and it was wrong of her. She was a senshi, wasn't she? Maybe she had a broken arm, but she was a senshi.
"Wait!" Her voice trembled, and she didn't actually have to put that much effort into it. "I-I bought a necklace for my mom, diamonds."
It was a lie. A blatant lie. But the greed in the woman's eyes was obvious when they flashed to Dani's, and she continued in a hurry, "It's in my pocket. Um, here, hang on."
She scooted out from under the table, shoving her good hand into her pocket. Her fingers closed around her henshin pen, and she swallowed hard, tearing her eyes away from Ji-Yeon. It was going to be all right.
God, she had to believe that.
"Here, it's --" And then she was shouting, thrusting the pen out, and the entire coffee shop bore witness to a light, sparkles, a transformation. In Dani's place was suddenly a senshi, a skirted warrior of justice, and the distraction of her transformation was enough for her to kick out viciously, taking the woman's legs out from under her.
The man was turning, gun raised, when she tore her puffs from her hair, smacked them together with a scream of "Powder Puff!"
The entire coffee shop was suddenly filled with powder, powder that no one could see through but her. The man swore, and Magellan lunged at him, managing to tackle him before his gun went off. Or had he tried, and it had jammed? Had the powder prevented it? She had no idea, she just knew she was on the ground, rolling, and her voice was high-pitched when she yelled again for the cashiers to press their god damned panic button or something.
She was doing a lot of yelling. People from outside could see the powder pressing against the windows, there was a commotion. Someone broke a glass pane, the powder began to leak out.
Holy s**t, Magellan was going to get caught on the scene.
Rolling off the man, sporting a black eye and fat lip from her struggle -- not too bad considering her arm was broken -- she rammed right into the legs of a table, the pain shooting up her back as though someone had stomped her directly.
She curled in on herself, whimpering, as she henshined down. It wasn't Sailor Magellan anymore, but Daniela Rymner, hands covering her face, as mall security rushed in.

Brown pupils dilated as Dani interrupted Lilith. Diamonds? No way, Ji-Yeon couldn't just let Dani surrender her precio- Dani suddenly took a pen out, not a regular one, that was for sure. As soon as she clicked it, Dani had been transformed. Into a Sailor Senshi, like they had just discussed. Purple ribbons, laced boots, an two 'puffs' on her head. What the? Dani was definitely experienced, it was visible in the kick to Lilith's head, causing her to go unconscious like that. As Dani removed the two decorations from her head, and clicked them together, she yelled, "POWDER PUFF!" Suddenly, everything was a daze. She heard the panicky screams of civilians, alarms ringing, a LOT of clanging, tables falling, glass shattering. Ji-Yeon felt so helpless, useless, simply cowering under the table, covering her ears.
Suddenly, the entrance to Apollo's Coffee, that was a glass door, shattered, completely. The powder began to clear, and towards the next table, was an injured Dani. Mall security began to rush in, arresting the blatant criminals fitted in black and carrying weapons. Taking advantage of how confused everyone was, this time, Ji-Yeon grabbed Dani's hand and rushed out towards the back exit. They needed to talk. Out they went. The breeze was deadly, for sure, and Dani was injured. Taking her own coat off her back, she wrapped it around Dani, urging them to run. Dani couldn't be caught. What if they had seen her? What would the police do to her? Within a minute or two, they reached the community hospital. Trinity, her favorite nurse and friend, greeted Ji-Yeon with a worried, but casual smile. "Hey there. Is your friend hurt?" Ji-Yeon merely nodded in a response; Trinity would know what to do. "Here's the key to the first-aid room. Patch her up there! Don't stay too long though, I might get in trouble." Trinity grinned. Ah, leave it to her to know what to do.
Off to the first-aid room they went. Dani lagged, although Ji-Yeon tried her best to support her. No doubt about it; Ji-Yeon was a weakling. Finally reaching the room, she turned the key, to find themselves in a spotless white room, with all sorts of harmless, but helpful utensils. Grabbing several bandages, she confronted Dani with a sincere inquiry, "You alright there?" The discussion could come later.

She ached, but she'd dealt with worse pain. Dani let herself be dragged along numbly, limping a bit because of the blow to her back, mind reeling. She'd not only transformed in front of Ji-Yeon, but she'd revealed herself to be a senshi. And Ji-Yeon totally knew.
This was so totally not good.
Dropping heavily into a chair, she looked around, chewing her bottom lip apprehensively. Not only was it a bad idea to have anyone know about her senshi identity because it would put her in danger, but this would completely put Ji-Yeon in danger too. If anyone found out that she could name a senshi's human form, she'd be hunted as ruthlessly as anyone, tortured until she gave up the information. Dani made no allusions about their shiny new friendship; Ji-Yeon would give her up in a heartbeat, even if she didn't want to. The Negaverse was so totally going to have a field day with her.
"I'm okay." She winced, bringing her good hand up to finger her split lip. Awesome. "Listen, Ji-Yeon--"
Before the other girl could begin cleaning her wounds, or administering bandages, or whatever she wanted to do, Dani held up a hand, expression solemn. There was something she had to say before this went on.
"Ji-Yeon, you can't tell anyone what you saw today. No, don't say anything yet -- you don't understand. You can't tell anyone at all." Her face was very still, very forbidding. "It's best if you don't even tell anyone you were at the coffee place today. In fact, we didn't even meet."
Maybe that was going a bit overboard, but Dani was actually getting a bit scared thinking about the consequences. "If anyone finds out you know me, and we were there together, and they put two and two together... we could die. Both of us would be killed."
She was totally not joking.

Just as Ji-Yeon was preparing herself for a battlefield of nursing and wounds, a tan hand stopped her from mummifying Dani. A question mark visible in her eyes, Ji-Yeon looked up at her new senshi friend, to find a deadly expression on her face. Her words sent chills down her back. Who were they? She knew not to trust the media anymore, but if the senshi were doing, who then was capturing innocent human beings? There had to be another force, but it wasn't the sailor-suited girls and boys of justice.
Killed? That was a bit dramatic, but Ji-Yeon got the feeling Dani wasn't exaggerating. Letting out a weary sigh, she nodded. "In fact, I don't even know who you are." She attempted at a smile. "Put your faith in me, if it's one thing I'm good at, it's keeping secrets. Don't worry." Grinning now, "But God. To think that you're one of the senshi! That's amazing. And what you did back there...What exactly is your power?" Ji-Yeon inquired, and began to bandage Dani once more.
