My teacher is really chubby and ugly. He always cracks jokes and makes us laugh. Sometimes we can't play our instruments. Either way though we love our teacher as our band director 3nodding

He's a strict, easily-angered, trombone giant. His jokes are usually so lame we laugh because it's...so lame. However, sometimes his metaphors are so ridiculous it's hilarious.
Outside of class, he's actually pretty awesome. Even if he is a hick from Kansas. >>

My band director can be really funny, but he does some of the most outrageous things that make a lot of people hate him. And he can be a real jerk at times. I haven't had an experience yet, but I've heard stories...

My director is awesome. he is funny, but he can be mean if we do something wrong. He can go from throwing stuff at us in anger to joking around ins econds, which is awesome, and he has a good ssense of humor so we laugh a lot. He also always makes fun of the lower band in our class(the higher band) and tends to poke fun at students, though we don't mind.

My band director is always giving us these "talks". Stuff like 'You can do it band" "I believe in you" and his favorite "you are set up for success!" And he does it ALL THE TIME! before every concert, every concert competition, every marching competition, before and after evey marching practice, It is so bad, we gave him a new nick-name. His name is Stevenson, we call him "Steve-o the shrink"

i dont like my band director. he's kind of a p***k. I didn't do anything to him. Last year (junior year) he told me to quit band and not told to bother coming back...guess who didn't listen to him.

My band director is more of the emotional type. But the good thing is if he is angry at one group, he tries not to take his anger out on the other groups. He can also be pretty funny at times and tries to get to know you better. I think he's pretty good.

He gets pissed off really easily, and everyone outside of band is scared of him (I'm serious, people outside of band won't go into the band room... ... EVER). But he is really awesome, he's always joking when we mess up,and he let's us draw on the whte board, which to the band is a joke (don't ask, very long story).

My band director is pretty awesome. Scary, but awesome. His lesbian daughter played bassoon in high school, which is cool, cause' I'm a gay guy that plays bassoon. And his lesbian daughter also happens to be my old band director's "room mate..." He thinks I'm "unique..."

My band director, well both actually were the same. They were funny, but also weird, and energetic, and was like part of the family. Then again on those bad days of practice they were both pretty bad potty mouths. But hey, they, thats 7 years without hatin'!

My BD is an okay guy, nice, but not very.... well, he doesn't really make an impression on his students. The others in band rarely listen to him, even though he's an amazing musician and looks like he would make a great leader. It's probably just the other students. I feel kinda sorry for him, having to try and teach the collection of casual, non-serious, way below par young "musicians" of concert band. Theres less than ten people out of approximately fifty to sixy people in it who actually want to be there and learn music. The rest are just there for easy marks and don't give a damn. Once, the poor guy nearly lost his voice trying to shout over the others to be quiet. Really sucks. And nobody even cares!! We're so damn apathetic and uncaring at my school...
