Apartment housing for those with lower budgets. Though the living spaces are very well-kept and affordable, things are very simple for those who live within. No glitz or glamour here.

Alex believed that life was going very well for him. Ever since he and Jessica had started seeing each other more frequently, it seemed that they both were filled constantly filled with smiles. Alex actually looked forward going to work if only to see her during breaks, and on the weekends when he had free time, they would find some place to escape to. All the laughs, kisses, and memories were starting to make him wonder if Jess was eventually going to change into a permanently happy person instead of the girl with family problems and shifting moods. As he sat in his apartment, which was rather bare save for his own room, Alex couldn't help but have a slight smirk on his face. Thought of Jess, his cup of ramen, and his boxers were all he needed to have a good and quiet afternoon at home.

Though ti didnt stay quiet for long, for Jess was making her way up to his appartment, a small shopping back in hand, smiling goofily as she pulled out her cell phone. She was a few doors down from his as she dialed his number.
"Hey Alex?" She smiled when he answered. "Its Jess..."

Jess' ringtone made him jump a bit. The nice quiet atmosphere, made perfect by being able to lounge in his underwear, obviously wasn't made to be permanent, but the chime tone he'd chosen for her was hardly unwanted.
"Hey," he said. The smile on his face translated right to his voice. "What're you up to? Making good use of your Saturday?"

"You could say that..." She attempted to hide the laughter in her voice.
"What're you up to today? any plans?" She asked witha hint of some of her own if he said no.

"Naw, no plans. Just hanging out at home, eating and sleeping. It's all good." It sounded like a pathetic way to spend his free time. What he really wished was that he could see her again after having such a busy week, but for all he knew, she was out with her gaggle of friends and planning on having a great night. "So how exactly would you say you're having a good Saturday?" he asked, setting down his ramen. Already he could read something in her voice, but couldn't figure out for the life of him just what it was.

"Well....I was just thinking about you..." She smiled, comming up to his door and knocking loudly, though kept talking normally. "So I thought I'd jsut call you up...." She tried not to smile or laugh while she waited for him to answer.

Alex muttered an audible, "s**t..." His boxers with flame print were not the right attire for seeing guests in.
"I have someone at the door... hang on here while I throw some clothes on. Perks to living alone: I can eat ramen and sit in my underwear all day and no one can say anything." From the other end of the phone, his scrambling through his drawers for pants and a shirt could be heard, though more as loud bumps, curses, and shuffles. He couldn't believe who would be at his door during the early afternoon, as most of his friends were working or busy with school.
Alex held onto the phone through it all, but finally started talking again with a light laugh. "Alright, sorry again... lemme just see who it is real fast..."
Now in long jeans and a tight black shirt, Alex felt he was presentable. Maybe not the neatest looking person, since his hair was still tangled after his shower, but good enough. He opened up the door, and nearly had a heart attack. "You sneak!" he said, laughing and unaware of the blush on his face.

She burst out laughing, hanging her phone up as she reached out to hug him. "I'm sorry I just couldn't resist...though I must say I am slightly disappointed you didn't come in your boxers..." She pulled back and gave him a sultry look. "It would have been a lot easier ot make fun of you." She started laughing again, showing her true meaning behind her disappointment, hiding her own blush. "So can I come in or do you have some secret life you hide in your apartment I should know about?" She smirked, looking rather cute in a stylish but casual outfit, her hair pulled back into a messy ponytail.

His whole body umped once he realized he was blocking her view of his apartment. Alex moved out of the way and gestured gallantly inside, mocking those knights of old. "Come right in. Pardon any mess..." Though the real mess was in his room where laundry, music, textbooks and notebooks were piling up badly. She wouldn't be going in there, though. The main area was clean and slightly boring, but offered a nice view of the city below. In Veratian terms, he wasn't living in a palace, but still had a nice living space anyhow. "Would you like anything? Drink, food, dashing young man?"

She laughed at that, setting down her purse nad sipping her shoes off near the door. "Hm, the third sounds lovely...Though I didnt know you had a room mate?" She smirked again making a cocky face at him though held down her laughter as she held upa bag for him.
"I figured you'd be relaxing all day and taking advantage of the time off so I thought I'd help..." She pulled out a few things and set them on his counter. "A loaded sandwhich from the deli because I had a feeling you'd be gorging on Ramen..." She smiled over at the still half full container of the instant noodles. "This is delicious and healthy. I also got you some hot cinnamon rolls, since its so cold out today..." She smiled sweetly at him, eyes and body language eager to hear if he liked it. She hadnt considered he maybe wanted to spend the day alone. Though if he seemed like he did, she's leave him be. But for now it was just nice to see him.

With having to keep up with his school debts, rent, and supplies for school, Alex wasn't used to eating well at all. This was a lunch fit for a king. So of course when he saw the beautiful spread, the first thing he did was put his arms around her in a hug that lifted her straight off the ground.
"You... are amazing." With her in his arms, he could breath in her smell and feel her breathing right against him. She was so lovely, even if she was downright complicated and mysterious. It only drew him in more, though, being the type to investigate. But it only lasted for a few seconds, and she was back on the ground in no time at all.

She laughed as he embraced her, beaming up at him when finally on solid ground. "Nah not really...I'm glad you like it though." She smiled and leaned up to kiss his cheek.
"Oh, is it ok if I spend some time here and just hang? My dad thinks I'm at some leaders of tomorrow meeting at the college..." She rolled her eyes a bit but still smiled. "I haven't been to one of those things I think after the first meeting..." She grimaced, but her eyes sparkled up at him. "unless you had plans or something, Then I could just get out of your hair. I have a few errands I could stretch out..." She shrugged not wanting to impose tho desperately hoped hed let her stay even for a few minutes.

He wasn't so hot on hearing she was lying to her parents. Especially not when their emotional state worried her so much. It seemed counterproductive to lie to them, creating distrust... but he'd let her figure all that out.
"No, stay! I didn't have any plans. Just sitting around, maybe taking a nap. This place isn't that exciting, just to warn you." Alex walked around her to get plates for them both, not knowing if she wanted some of the sandwich she'd brought. "I do have some movies and games, though. If you want."
He wanted some kisses and hugs out of the deal, of course.

She smiled and nodded, leaning on the counter with a nod. "Sounds absolutely wonderful." She sighed getting a good look at his place. It wasnt s messy as she pictured a single guy living alone to be. But then again his bedroom was probably closed off for a reason.
"It honestly sounds much more eventful than just sitting around reading alone or studying." She scrinched up her nose poking the cinnamon roll box, knowing she'd wait despite how amazing they smelled.
