does anyone else like...hate that commercial when that girl (shes like 11) is trying to figure out which present to open,and she decides on a lil blue one and lo and behold,its a barbie,and the girl like FREAKS I mean,I love the way she says it,its good acting,and shes adorable,BUT a girl her age isnt gonna freak over a barbie,specially since she would have had them by then xp

Ya, kids are growing up too fast these days. I doubt many 11 year old girls would even be caught dead with a barbie doll.

When I was in elementary school, I remember kids saying they only keep their Barbies to burn their hair and s**t like that. Which I thought was kinda odd, and I still played with my barbies at the time. By college, everyone swore they played with Barbies as a kid and it didn't affect their self-esteem. (They were defending Barbie Dolls in media studies.) confused

When I was little, I used to love barbies and other dolls, just to rip them apart. Which was weird. I prefered to play with stuffed animals, horse toys and pokemon toys

i had loads of barbies, i would make clothes for them. i played with barbies for the longest time. even now i still play with them a bit but my games have changed quite a bit lol. my firend and i get bored alot so we like to get out some of our old toys and make up stories XD

maybe i just watched way too much of toy story and the velvateen rabbit when i was younger lol. ive still got my favorite toy from when i was 2, he still sits on my bed. ive got no idea where i will put him when i move in with the fiance.
i had so many toy dinosaurs, as well as any other toy reptiles and dragons i could get my hands on.

I never destroyed my toys, particularly if it was a person or animal. They tended to each have individual names, in fact. > - <
I thoguht Barbies were stupid by about kindergerten, then got re-interested in them around fourth grade for a year or two, then didn't care anymore. I always preferred Legos, blocks, dinosaurs Littlest Pet Shop Puppy in my Pocket (the old ones that were breed-specific and not deformed like modern ones), various horse figures, action figures... you get the idea.
Actually, I still have my favorite toy, too. I've had this white teddy bear (who I named Babaloo way before I had any logic to remember WHY I named her that) since I was an infant and apparently used to drag her around everywhere as a kid.
As for the commercial. I haven't seen it, but Wal-Mart IS running an ad for video games where this like 11-year old boy and his dad are playing Bakugon, which is like a TV Y show. X-X

Lol, I used real reptiles. I'd catch house geckos on my back patio and act out scenes or have parties with them.
