My Name Is: Sparrow
My Favorite Genre Is: Fantasy
My Favorite Book Is: Fire Bringer by David Clement-Davies
This Is Why: It's amazing. I love animals, and it made me realize that though we, as humans, may pretend to be more intelligent and superior to other creatures, they have their organized ways of life (a government, in this book, at least) and have been living that way for eons. Far before humans were even here.

My Favorite Genre Is: Fantasy
My Favorite Book Is: Green Rider series
This Is Why: It follows Karigan's adventures in Sacordia, and shows that this girl is different from any other merchants' daughter- she's brave enough to face beasts who's blood burns like acid, but retreats from the love of the king! O.o

My Name Is: Link715
My Favorite Genre Is: Fantasy/Romance/Action
My Favorite Book Is: The Winter Rose
This Is Why: It's sort of a cross between a romance and a mystery book--as well as a few sexual scenes--and it follows the path of many people through 18th century London. But it is mainly about a gang member falling in love with a female doctor and some politician wants to kill the gang member and take the doctor for his own--but only for the family fortune! Excelent read, a bit long and mature (18+ but I'm only 15 and I've read it 2 times!).

My Name Is: Woaaaahtaku
My Favorite Genre Is: Is manga a genre? Fantasy/Comedy
My Favorite Book Is: Setting manga asideee...Favorite book of all time is probably Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. My favorite book currently is Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris.
This Is Why: Well, Harry Potter holds a spot near and dear to my heart for many reasons, one is because I hit the emo age early and all I did in 4th grade was read Harry Potter, XD. But, the main reason why I really enjoy the Chamber of Secrets, and the series as a whole, is because it's generally very interesting! It combines action, fantasy, romance, mystery, and blends all of it together very well! I also thought that the Chamber of Secrets was very well plotted out, and put together very well!
Me Talk Pretty One Day is a series of short stories about the life of the author, David Sedaris. I highly recommend his books! All of his stories are hilarious, and reading his stuff is a great pick me up after a bad day.

I'm thinking I'm going to check out Green Rider and Fire Bringer...I've been needing some good books to read lately. (I'm also getting some new ones for Christmas, so I'll let you all know how that works out!) If anyone in here is into manga, I can recommend some good ones for you as well, but I figured here I would just talk about not nerdy things. xD

My Favorite Genre Is:
My Favorite Book Is: Graceling & Fire by Kristin Cashore
This Is Why: Well, thanks to my neighbor, to-be-published author, Teri Hall, I got to read Fire before it even came out in stores. I thought it was great, so I read Graceling (Kristin's already published book). These two books are set in the same type of world, Fire being sort of a prequel to Graceling. Anyway, they both have great plots, and are super hard to put down. I'd recommend them to anyone who likes fantasy, action, romance, medieval reads... etc. So read it!

My Favorite Genre Is: Mystery...mwahahaha!
Well, I cannot name a favorite right now, so here's a few books that I really really like: Artemis Fowl, Runaway, Harry Potter, and To Kill a Mockingbird
This Is Why: Artemis Fowl: I just picked up the second book in the series and started reading. Like, NO markings on the book to tell it was second. Anyhoo. It's really cool, showing how Artemis is kind of like the villian and the good guy at the same time. I believe someone already said Runaway, but I love the diary format but it's nice hearing her describe her trials as she goes across the country, nearly. Harry Potter for obvious reasons that have been done and over-done. To Kill a Mockingbird's just a sweet old book from a girl's view in a 'country' town with all the grievances and joys that come with that.

^.^ I'm going to have to look up Oh. My. Gods. Sounds interesting.

My Name Is: Luv
My Favorite Genre Is: Fantasy
My Favorite Book Is: ...I dunno, really. I like the Warriors series by Erin Hunter and the Ledgend of Drizzt by R.A. Salvatore.
This Is Why: I'm a huge bookworm. I try to expand my genres, but I stay mainly around the fantasy area. I like the idea of a dark elf defying his mother and running to the surface... I won't say more. Warriors, I've been hooked on for a long time. I love cats and Rusty/******* (won't say what he's called later) and his friends are the fantasy/fictional cats I've always followed. It's interesting.

And, I'm reading To Kill a Mockingbird right now... plus the Warriors series is AWESOME!

My Name Is: Rapskallion
My Favorite Genre Is: Fantasy
My Favorite Book Is: Anything by R.A Salvatore, K.A. Applegate or Tolkein.
This Is Why:
Well the first series of books I ever really set my hands on was a wonderful and very imaginative series by K.A. Applegate called "Animorphs". Maybe some have you have heard of it, maybe some of you remember the godawful T.V show that ran for like, half a dozen episodes. The books themselves were a world of their own and filled with suspense, intrigue and amazing character development between a small group of 5 children and 1 alien.
I later moved onto other books by the same author, which is how I came across "Everworld" and good grief did I enjoy Everworld.

J.R.R.Tolkein, world famous for creating one of the most beautiful and exciting books of all time with "The Hobbit" and his "Lord of the Rings" trilogy truly enthralled me and made me day dream about what it would be like to live in Middle-Earth. To relax in the Shire, to visit the elves in Lothlorien and to see the Ents of the Entmoot. His characters, brought to the masses in Peter Jackson's epic films, are even more intricate in the books and I would recommend them to anyone.

R.A. Salvatore... where do I start? I discovered Salvatore when quite randomly I purchased a book entitled "The Crystal Shard". I was drawn to it because of the Forgotten Realms logo and the fact that it was set in the Icewind Dale realms instead of Baldur's Gate. From there it was a roller-coaster ride of adventure, suspense, tragedy and triumph that led to Salvatore quickly cementing himself as my best loved author to date, with close to 25 of his books proudly sitting on my shelves. The character development and the detail that went into their stories and lives is immense and unbelievable for me at times. The love, the friendship, the prejudice, the misunderstanding and the rivalries are epic beyond compare in my honest opinion. When I roleplay, it is his writings that I keep in my mind for inspiration.

And that's why...

This Is Why: I truly love the Artemis Fowl series, reading throughout the series and watching Artemis grow was really fun, and I even got the special edition book where it has the whole alphabet translated haha, did you know that the symbols on the bottom of the pages in the first book actually spell out stuff?

My Name Is: Duchess of Stupidity
My Favorite Genre Is: Romance/Mystery but I'm picky about those/Fantasy/Fiction in General
My Favorite Book Is: Twilight Series, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Stephen King
This Is Why: Okay, I'm gonna make this clear. The twilight books are amazing to me. It's such a good love story, and the charecters feel so real. I know there's a lot of conspiracy over it all (im a twilight obsessed fan myself) but all-in-all, it's a great book. If you haven't read it (ha, right) then you should. 98% probablilty you'll be hooked.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, oh my god. It's the weirdest, most politically incorrect book I have ever experianced, and I must have done twenty book reports at least over this one novel. Highly enjoyable.

Stephen King is, by far, amazing times infinity plus one for good luck (: His stories are so twisted that it's hard not to be hooked on them. Some of my favorites are: The Green Mile, The Shining, Carrie, Halem's Lot.
