Ah, lucid dreaming, one among the many psychic phenomena that have actually been scientifically proven! Let's see if I can calm any of your concerns.
Adverse side-effects? Usually not, since you become aware of and control the direction of the dream.
Could you die? Well, I can share your pain; I did a past-life regression a while back that involved having my jaw crushed. That hurt like hell, but after a while back in waking, everything was kosher. It's best, especially if you're doing this under self-hypnosis or guidance, that you have a safeword or a way out in case of emergencies (within or without!).
Killing a dragon in your dream usually has more to do with some psychological or metaphysical aspect of your life than another person. If it was someone you knew, you would recognize them as such, even if it looked nothing like them. That's what's kinda cool about dreams.
I wouldn't be surprised if most of us had interest in lucid dreaming or guided meditations, if we haven't attempted it already. smile

The type of Lucid dreaming that I do supposedly is fairly close to dream-walking. as in I am supposedly in a world that the Australian Aboriginals referred to as the dream-time. Supposedly, it is a place that connects to the dreams of those in our world and in something called the astral plane, which I can't find much information on. But I mean does that mean that the Dragon was the dream avatar/alias/persona or whatever, and if so Did I kill somebody?!?
also Can you teach me how to do past life regression, I would like to see if a suspicion I have, is correct.
