The cafeteria is actually a two level building with two seperate counters to pay for food. The top level has a deck extending outside with a small pokemon ring designed for only one on one battles, while the bottom has a TV display which streams highlights from pokemon battles taking place all over the campus. These cameras are installed in every building, and on every post standing tall with a light post, so even the most remote battles, so long as they take place on campus, can be recorded.

There is no volume mind you. Some policies are in place to ensure certain private matters, and profanities are completely mute, as to alleviate tension of battling on campus...

XXXXIris sat down at the edge of the cafeteria near a window and watched the clouds float by as she nibbled on a slice of toast. Hermes the Medicham sat beside her copying with his head resting on his hand and a bored expression to match Irises. Iris scanned the cafeteria. There was one other person there but so far no body had arrived for breakfast yet. She sighed. Breakfast was easily one the most boring times of the day for her, she would have rather been in a class doing something productive or out on the grounds practcing with her team. She flipped out her pokedex and started skimming though all of the images of pokemon that she's seen in her various classes and the few she managed to encounter in the wild. Just one more year and I'll be out of here... she thought to herself. (It will get better I promise) *edit*

The two siblings were the first from the group to get into the cafeteria. In more specifics, Ailell was the first and Samantha was dragged along. Still, just because they were the first in the group didn't mean they were the first one's there. There were some other students in the cafeteria, too, but no teaches. Well, at least the students were behaving there. So much for the idea of a food fight! Actually, it was never to late to start one. On some of the TV screens were actually some battles. Some between other (nameless) students and even some teachers. One screen even Showed the battle between a sertent blond battle teacher and her red-wearing student. But neither siblings were very interested in the battles. Ailell was looking over the cafeteria for where to sit after he got food, and Samantha was messing with some technology she had pulled out the second she could.
" Sam-Roo, do you know where you want to sit?" he asked, after deciding he couldn't decide. All the tables seemed equally the same to him.
".... I don't care," Samantha said after a few moments.

Jazz came in shortly after the other three while still holding Squirt in her arms. She noticed there wasn't many people in the cafeteria yet and in a way she was glad about it. At least their morning so far didn't involve too many people and too much noise. Though eventually this place would get packed, and then it would feel like school year had already started. She looked up at one of the TV screens and watched one of the pokemon battles between a teacher and student. Even though there was no noise you could clearly tell what was going on. She heard Prisca suggest where they sit and simple nodded her head. "Sounds fine with me," she said while still watching the battle.

Once the battle ended Jazz looked back over toward the group and noticed that Prisca had gotten a different pokemon out. A froslass to be exact. Didn't Prisca have a Snorunt last year? Must have evolved over break she thought. Then that made her wonder about her own pokemon evolving. Each of them were still in their first stage, and she wondered how long it was before they would evolve. Only time could tell. "A battle sounds like fun," she said. It had been awhile since they last battled with anyone. "How about a double battle if everyone wants to?" she asked them. That way each of them could battle without having to wait to battle one person, only if they wanted to though. Double battles could be trickier then regular battles, but they could also funnier too.

"...Huh?!" uttered Lucas in a somewhat delayed reaction. Looking over to the two girls, he clearly recognized the younger one... Prisca. She was two years younger than him, but they were both third years. Her friend... Lucas didn't quite know her name but she was a second year. Together with them were Ailell and a girl who appeared to be his sister. Ailell?? Shouldn't he have graduated by now?? "...Err, I suppose we could just go and say hi to them..." muttered Lucas, casually approaching the group.

"Hey, morning Prisca," greeted Lucas with a smile as he came close enough. "Enjoyed your break?" Then turning to greet Jazz and Sam, he introduced himself, saying, "Hi, I'm Lucas. Prisca and I are classmates. This here is Shane. He's new here." He then turned to greet Ailell as well... "Morning, Ailell... Say, you graduated last year, didn't you? Are you working here now or something?" asked Lucas. He wasn't usually the chatty type but since Shane wanted to meet them, he might as well try and strike up some sort of conversation.

The girl nodded a bit as the others seemed to agree with the suggestion, moving Frost a bit so she could talk without the pokemon being in the middle. "Near a window it is, then~" Prisca frowned a bit and then tried to consider what exactly they could do to solve their little issue; Going to the track field or any other open space would give them enough space to hold a double battle, but that still left the fact that they only had 3 fighters. The brunette had been almost certain that Ailell wouldn't fight, he was an artist more than a fighter, and the same usually went for his Smeargle. "No worries, Ailell, and we can always go somewhere big enough to have a battle." If there were only 3 fighters..well, they could always just have a 'free-for-all' or something.
Before the girl could continue to think about what to do, or maybe start moving towards the tables, Lucas approached and greeted their little group. "Hey, Lucas." The brunette 15-year old said happily with a small wave. "Mhmm, break was good, got some training done and I can finally bring more friends to school. What about yours?" When Prisca said 'friends', it usually referred to her pokemon party, and it wasn't new for her to be this excited about bringing 6 pokemon to campus, it felt lonely not being able to bring all of them because of the rules. The third year then watched the small exchange of introductions between the others before turning towards Shane. "Hi, Shane, welcome to the Academy~" Most first graders were normally her age, and she felt a bit more at ease around them, not like she cared about ages much. She guessed it would be a little odd if she introduced Jasmine, since the girl could do so herself, kinda unlike Sammie, that seemed to live with 3/4s of her mind in some technological device. 'Actually, I think this is the most I've seen Lucas talk in a minute.' She thought while holding back a chuckle.
Frost simply continued to float next to her trainer, glancing at the gathering humans with curiosity. The Ice/Ghost pokemon was used to staying with her trainer's parents and had never seen more than 3 or 4 humans at the same time. However, once it noticed that there seemed to be no danger and that the group was friendly, mostly judging from the girl's reactions, she bowed her head a bit in what could be considered a greeting. "Fros.." Froslass was normally a bit of a shy pokemon, when compared to others in Prisca's party, so her voice was rather low and soft most of the time.
Blinking the girl turned and chuckled a bit, pointing at the pokemon. "This is Frost, by the way." It suddenly seemed to hit the girl that Lucas was in battle class with her, which probably meant he wouldn't mind some practice right? They could also have a third and second year on both sides to even the situation, unless Shane wanted to participate too, in which case they could go back to the all vs all plan. "Oh, oh, Lucas, we were planning on having a double-battle after breakfast, interested? Shane could try too, if he wants."

~Prisca Hale இ -Frost ✳

Mr. Hageshii trodded over to the railing on the seccond level of the cafeteria with a bowl of noodles in one hand, and a pair of chopsticks in the other. His boots were steel-toed: no-nonsense, heavy duty boots. They were dark brown in color, and scuffed to hell and back beyond any kind of formal appearance. He listened in on the chattering on the lower level of the cafeteria between the students to try to pick out which 'kids' he was going to have to turn into champions.

He blew lightly on his food and took the noodles to his mouth, enjoying them entirely... These weren't just some instant noodles from a plastic package, they were regular, raw to cooked noodles with genuine ingredients and real nutrition to them... Back on topic though, the teacher was trying to get an eye for a couple students who might be the more confident ones. The students who know everything, and feel strong... The one's he'd have to break later on.

Hanging from a chain looped at his right hip were 6 pokeballs, and mounted on a brass ring on his right hand was a seventh... Unlike the students, teachers could exceed the pokemon league approved 6 pokemon. This was so that the teacher always had at least one able bodied pokemon to respond to emergencies with, should teachers find themselves with their normal six wiped out from battle... He wasn't exactly trying to make his presence known, so he didn't try to make many slurpy, eating noises... still, he was there, and in plain sight should anyone notice...

Lucas looked up. It was Celeste, another fellow third-year. "Oh, hey Celeste," said Lucas with a friendly smile. "Well, that would make five of us... If Shane agrees, that is," answered Lucas, in response to Celeste's question. He looked at both Shane and Celeste, hoping that the two would come to some sort of agreement. "Or if you both really want to, I could sit out and watch."
