So Othello, FOM's Ster Stallion is getting a "second chance" if you are confused read my "Rant about the Northeast Keuring" post. So since I can't put it in better words read the bit on him in the Friesians of Majesty news letter...
Othello is headed south!
For those of you who have met Othello, you know why we believe him to be a special stallion, and the FPZV agrees! After attending a keuring in Pittsburgh, PA this past fall, Othello received a perfect score and has been selected by the FPZV as one of the chosen few stallions in North America to attend a fifty-day approval testing in Texas this coming January. Along with showing off what he already knows, Othello will be required to perform rigorous exercises to prove his worth as a breeding stallion. These tests will include ridden and driven dressage, driving obstacles, weighted pull and a 1500 meter field course with water hazards and three-foot jumps. Our trainer and staff are already hard at work preparing Othello for this very important event. Should Othello pass the test, he will be given world-wide breeding rights as an approved stallion!
We are expecting twelve foals by Othello in the spring of 2010, all out of our high quality mares. We're very excited to see what Othello throws on his first set of offspring and will keep you updated! We are offering Othello for stud in 2010, and his babies are for sale in utero at discounted prices until he receives worldwide breeding rights.
