I just thought I'd share a book with you all. It shows an extremely interesting view of hell, purgatory, and heaven. I personally loved it. It's the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.

I uploaded it to my server. Here's a link.

Love that book. I have the original copy and a more modern version.

The modern version however is just the Inferno and does not include the other two parts. However, it does a bit of a twist on the original by replacing Hell with San Fransisco (at least as it looks on the front cover). Additionally, in the modern version some of the dialogue is altered in that the characters sometimes swear or use slang. Plus it has illustrations scattered throughout the book.

Is the original copy called "Inferno", and is the sequel "Escape from Hell" and does the guy meet Benito?
Because I've read that, I haven't read the original though...

The Divine Comedy is three sections: Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise. The Inferno is the most well known of the three. The original copy I have has all three parts. It's been a while since I've read it so I don't remember.

Actually in retrospect I probably should not have said original copy. I should have said something like "original version" in that the text is merely a translation from Dante's version. The modern version is similar only involves slang and turns Hell into San Francisco.
