Yes.
1. Anything involving the words 'sex' or 'job' is sex -- oral sex, blow job, ring any bells?
2. Any time there is an exchange of bodily fluids, there is potential for contamination. Bodily fluids include blood, semen, vaginal lubrication/discharge, saliva, sweat, urine, tears, nasal mucous.
3. Yes, this means that there ARE diseases you can catch from sharing a handkerchief, eye makeup applicators, a toilet seat, touching anything someone sneezed on, putting your hand (and cut finger) on the underside of a seat on a bus or desk where someone stuck their gum... But the major diseases require more significant contact, and yes, seminal fluid is SIGNIFICANT.
If you must give a b*****b, make sure the person has been tested and is free of diseases, AND that you use a condom (flavored lubes help) every time.

Divash Yes. 3. But the major diseases require more significant contact, and yes, seminal fluid is SIGNIFICANT. Just to clarify. You can't get STDs from touching something that was sneezed on or from gum. You can get MAYBE Clamydia from a toilet seat, but other things are doubtful. The thing you need to remember is that there are diseases other than STDs out there in which you can catch from the above mention actions. But yes, oral sex and swallowing semen can transmit STDs

STDs are, for the most part, either a bacterial or a viral infections. They can reside in the blood and usually in the mucus membranes around the genitals, being STDs and all. This means that they can be transferred to places like toilet seats. But bacteria and viruses are happiest at body temperature (98.5F or 37C) and we all know that air temperature is much lower. This means that most of the time they die off very quickly. So unless you have one person rubbing themselves on a toilet seat and another running in right after and doing the same thing then it's not all that likely. Think about how long the genitals are in contact during sex, that's a long time to transfer over.
Crabs are a different story since they are a parasite which lives on the outside of the body at a low temperature. This means they can live on their own for a much longer time without a host.
The majority of STDs are NOT carried in the saliva in any useful amount. This means that sneezing and gum cannot pass them unless the person has an open bleeding wound in their mouth.
So in actual answer to the topic, yes you can get STDs by preforming oral sex. Having the semen in you mouth allows the viruses and bacteria to enter microscopic cuts that are caused by brushing your teeth. You should always use a dental dam or condom when preforming oral sex.
