Hey, I'm Linda. I love nature and music, and absolutely despise seeing land be bulldozed to make way for another Valero. I have not only hugged, but kissed trees before. Yeah, I'm one of those.

Hello,
I'm Lily, as most people here call me (since it's the first four letter...). I don't mind if you call me Charon either, since it's a less common name and less likely to get mixed up. (better in fact, since we'll be less confused who's who).
I just joined this guild yesterday (or sometime today), so please take care of me.
I like the environment. I'm still forming my own views on it, so I won't say anything yet until I know for sure. I like studying about the environment, climate, diversity etc.
But I'm not an active environmentalist (An environmentalist supports any goal of the environmental movement, an information-based perspective on appropriate use of technology to prevent adverse effects on the environment) or a naturalist (A person who studies natural history is known as a naturalist or "natural historian").
I think we should observe more, because there are just too many effects even if we propose a new change (such as no pollution with immediate effect) that is supposedly good for the Earth. Nothing is absolute, so we should observe a little more - a good thing there are more people studying the environment now.
The Earth is changing even if we seemed to be rushing the change in one direction. That is a fact that we humans have to keep in mind while we study the environment.

Well hello there ! I'm Alaina.
i love spending time in nature and with mother earth. I enjoy hiking, rafting, camping ect.
I am a pacifist and feel that the true terriorism in our world are bulldozers that destroy our earth's beauty. We all are from the earth and will return to the earth in the end.
Give me a river, mountains, canyons, or a prarie and im at home smile
I plan on joining the peace corps after college. biggrin
