((This is a semi-private RP between Aqua_Nova and Guardian_Rayna if more then on other person joins then this will become open to the public since this is just for fun during times of boredom)) A grumpy lion by the name of Arthur lazed about the prairie of the safari. He loved how the sun warmed his fur and how peaceful things where...for the time being he knew it couldn't last, not with his Pride mate. With a soft growl the old lion rolled over onto his stomach when he noticed that things where a bit too quiet. "What is he up to?" he growled after all Alfred was never this quiet. Unless he was about to pounce. He shifted a bit his ears going foreward. He was listening to any noise exvept for his tail swishing the grass. ((I'll make a layout later Aqua! -huggles-))

Alfred scrunched up his nose, feeling his spectacles shift back into place, and he stalked forward.
Equally-tanned paws blended in with the prairie dust beautifully as his shoulders shimmied forward, bringing his body to slowly slink towards his prey. Carefully, step by step, with ears pinned to his skull and sky-eyes narrowed, Alfred shot forward.
Tripped.
Rolled.
Flipped and landed on his back in front of Arthur.
He sneezed as the dust swirled around him and a weak laugh escaped his lined jaws. "Oh...hi Arthur." well,

With a fierce maneArthur sighed at the cub in front of him really how was Alfred ever going to be the alpha male of his own pride if he couldn't even pounce on an old lion like himself? "I have to admit that you are stealthy I didn't hear you coming...until you tripped over your own paws." Arthur said as he stood and shook his mane and the rest of himself clean of the dirt it his fur had gathered. "What am I going to do with you?"

Dust in his nose= not fun. Alfred's ears pinned back as he rolled onto his side and raised his head lazily. "It's not my fault I tripped," he pouted, well, as much as a lion could pout.
After a small whine left him, he finally rolled himself up onto all fours and stretched, his upper torso lowering to the ground while his rump lifted in the air, allowing his back legs to stretch as much as possible.
"You can declare me the King of everything, because I'm the hero!" he exclaimed proudly, and his cream tail swayed calmly as he brought himself up to a normal stance and trotted towards Arthur. A few seconds later, his nose was pressed against the other's fur, nuzzling at his shoulder blade with a smirk.
"Now say it- say I'm the awesome hero!"

With a fierce mane- - - - - - - "Get away you git!" Arthur growled moving away from the nuzzling. Really what was he going to do with this cub. "And I'm not going to say it!" he added in moving even more further away. His stomach growled loudly showing that the old lion was getting hungry. Some food was in order, that could explain why he was so grumpy. - - - - - - -

in xxxxxxxxxx theJxxxxUxxxxxNxxxxGxxxxLxxxxEthe xxxxxxm i g h t yxxxxxxjungle "Why not?" a cub-like whine escaped the more teenaged lion and he sneezed. He didn't really like it when parts of the other's mane wandered onto his nose after he nuzzled him- it just made his nose itch.
Alfred sighed a little and, rather than nuzzling, sauntered over to give the older lion a broad lick on his cheek.
"Fine. Then I'm going to go see if the girls will let me hunt with them." the golden feline grinned as much as he could and his tail flicked with new-found excitement. Now knowing he had something to do today, he jumped back and began to crouch, determined to stalk his way through the whole savanna until he reached the lionesses' den and then convince them to go on a hunt.

Arthur roared back, really he was planning to hunt but he remembered the last time he tried that. The females were not that happy. So he went under a big shady tree and hoped that the cub wouldn't get into to much trouble. - - - - - - -

At first, the females had decided that a second chance wouldn't be too bad for the young growing lion. But soon, after many opportunities had been missed thanks to his goof-ups, they sent him back, roaring angrily after them and grumbling as he left.
Alfred was soon back to Arthur, flopping in front of him with a hasty smile on his face. "I'm back!" he cried out, proudly, although in his expression there was nothing but pride. He rolled onto his side, groaning, sore from running so fast during the hunt that had taken almost an hour.
"I'm tired now...um... will you groom me?" well,

With a fierce mane- - - - - - - Arthur had slept lightly in the shade of the giant tree. His tail moving back and forth every now and then. He had enjoyed the peace while it lasted but of course with a cub like Alfred it wasn't bound to last. With a tired sigh he rolled lightly so he was sitting up instead laying down. At least the females didn't try to kill him this time around. And when the other asked to be groom he got to his feet. "Alright." He said going over to the tired looking cub. He lay down next to the cub, one massive paw laying across the others side as he began to lick the others face clean. After all Alfred was his charge to take care of. Despite him being a complete nuisance. He could hear some of the females not to far away go "aww" at the sight. - - - - - - -

Alfred immediately smiled and shut his eyes, liking it when he was groomed. He began to purr, an instinctive reaction that had come natural to him whenever he was groomed. "You're the best," he purred happily, and his paws wiggled a little, as if he were swimming in the lake of excitement and bliss.
"I hope I'm not TOO dirty, though," he hummed, and dared crack open one eye. "Careful with my glasses too! They're very special ever since that one human dropped them on the tour!"

With a fierce mane- - - - - - - "I don't even see why you keep those, they're a nuisance" Arthur said as he stopped for a moment, who knew the cub would be so dusty. He went back to grooming this time the other's ears and what mane he had. "Argh did you roll around in the dust before asking to be groomed, my mouth is getting dry." He growled lowly really what was he going to do with this one? - - - - - - -

"They're awesome." Alfred huffed as his ears began to twitch, mostly due to the fact that they were being licked now. His ears continued to fold and twitch, not liking the cleaning treatment, but he kept still, knowing that this was for his own good. A clean ear was a healthy ear, of course!
"Well, we ran and there was dust everywhere!" he groaned and unfurled his tail, along with his limbs, which he stretched nimbly. "Don't get mad, Artie!"

And despite all the grief he was giving the cub he couldn't help but feel proud that the little one had tried to hunt. Even though the females to great pride of doing the hunting. "Fine, I guess I can forgive you for now." He said before giving the last few licks on top of Alfred's head. Before going settling back down. He tucked his paws under him a bit and swished his tail about. "I don't see whats so awesome about humans..." he growled quietly to himself. - - - - - - -

Alfred smiled and his ears finally stopped their twitching once Arthur finished. But something was off. He felt as if his mane felt weird, so he raised his paw, patting his mane and flattening a few stray areas. One lock of hair decided to stay up, however, and he was just fine with that. It gave him style.
"Humans are cool!" he then said as he got up, stretched again, and plopped onto Arthur. His front legs sprawled over the older lion's back and he lowered his chin onto the middle of his back, frowning. "They move around in these big blocks with spinning circles and they're tall and skiinnnnyyy. Except for this one I saw, that was like, thiiisss biiig!" he pushed himself off of Arthur and rolled onto his back [again, getting dirty], and he raised his paws, stretching his arms apart as far as he could for emphasis.
"It was huuuge! You should have seen it, Arthur! I wanna go see the humans again someday~!"

With a fierce mane- - - - - - - Hearing this Arthur quickly got up and pounced on the other snarling. His muzzled drawn back to show his displeasure as he was nose to nose with Alfred. His paws on either side of the cub to keep him pinned. "I forbid it! Those humans you saw were harmless but there are others that will either take you or kill you and I will not have that happen." He practically roared after all he had seen it happen before. He knew Alfred was in that curious stage but he wasn't going to let the cub run off and get himself killed! He wasn't going to let it happen. - - - - - - -
