Luna sat in the car doing her best to keep an eye on the road but with mariel bouncing excidedly next to her it was hard. The little mink girl had never seen snow before and this morning when the snow had begun she had not known what to do with the sudden burst of energy and curiosity. Luna had decided to take her to a park, well it was more like a meadow next to the park, so that Mariel could satisfy her curiosity of the snow and run around. Back at home mariel would have to stay indoors because of the expanse of the backyard and mariels inexperience in the snow Luna didnt want to let her frolic outside alone, but here there was sure to be at least a few kids or other adults to keep an eye on everything.

Once they reached the parking lot Mariel was out of the car before it was even in park!

"MARIEL!" Luna managed to get out before the little bundle of curiosity was completely out of sight.

"Yes mama?" Mariel asked as she ran back towards the car.

"Ju 'ave jur gloves?" mariel nodded "Scarf?" nod "Sweater?" another nod. "Okay den, voy a quedar en el carro, si me nesisitas. Go 'ave fun." Luna had just told Mariel that she would be watching from the car, she hated the cold and was pretty much only doing this for mariel, plus the fact that the park was flat and her Jeep was high let her see pretty much everything anyway. She was NOT going outside unless Mariel needed her.

Mariel ran towards the growing expanse of white ahead of her, since it had only started snowing last night everything wasnt fully covered yet but she still wanted to know what it was. Luna had said it was like frozen rain but rain wasnt white! She ran about catching snowflakes and when she almost tripped on her scarf she decided to tie it up again. She had on pants (for once without holes), hiking boots, jacket and a scarf, her fur being enough for the moment to keep her hands warm she decided as she stuffed her gloves into her pockets. Once everything ws once again tucked in she proceeded to try and catch more snowflakes to examine them more closely.

The trio was coming in from the high sky, having gone higher today then they had gotten to do before which delighted Maria to no end. The Pangolin girl was bundled up in a thick, warm pink jacket, two pairs of sweat pants, and her winter boots. On top of that was her favorite Gwee hat, a scarf, and mittens, all the same color green as the main green of her hat. In a stark contrast was Ligeia who was in a pair of black short longs, pants that only went down to a little above the knee as that was where his legs got fluffy, a tank top with a chibi version of a Wishing Star dragon on it, and his favorite shoes that gave him enough height that he was pushed over the five foot mark. Both were sporting matching pairs of flight goggles, something he'd insisted that they wear today since there was snow up high and he didn't want to risk either of their eyes to it.

The owl leaned over slightly to look toward the ground before giving Vorel's side a pat, "The park is right below us, try to land near to where the play ground is." He told the Frost dragon in the language they shared together.

Maria gave an eager sound, patting him as well, eager for them to land so that she could play! Her tail wrapped around her brother so that she could peek over the side as well though her eye sight wasn't nearly as good as that of her owl brother so she couldn't see all that he did, "Go go down, Vorel!" She said eagerly in broken Draconic. She was learning from Ligeia and Vorel but she still wasn't to go at it. She knew a few words she could piece together and a phrases, as well as could pick out some words they said. Not much more then that but since she was young she was picking it up faster then if Ter were to make the attempt.

The Frost and the owl both looked pleased at her progress, "Hold on." Vorel told them before he tilted his wings and started in the downward spiral that would bring them to the park below. They were tight circles, making their decent faster. A few moments later the dragon was touching down, trotted a short distance, then came to a stop.

Maria gave a cheer at the perfect landing, patting Vorel on the back before she pushed up onto her feet, hands lifting up so she could push back her goggles to sit on the top of her head as she looked back and forth across the park, "Oh, oh! There he is, there is Ryan!" She said, then lifted her arms up into the air, flailing them wildly, "RYAN! Hello, hello!" She yelled out after her friend.

Geia caught her around the waist before she could jump off the dragon and hopped off himself, carrying her to the ground with a couple beats of his wings. The girl was already off and running the second her feet touched the ground, "Shes energetic today." He said to Vorel before the two followed after her at their own, slightly slower pace.

Mariel looked towards the parking lot as she heard her name being called and saw ryan in his winter clothing charging right at her! She hadnt seen Ryan in a few weeks and was glad to meet a friendly face. She herself wasnt particularly color coded. Luna never really had much money and so she had mostly hand me downs that were still warm but not necessarily matching. A bright red jacket with a fluffy hood, Blue denim pants with colorful striped socks barely visible in her grey and black hiking boots and of course her fluffy Sky Blue Scarf that she loved.

"RYAN! RYAN I learned a new Trick!" Mariel waved at him excitedly as he came towards her. But she soon realized that Ryan was not going to slow down and would prabably tackle her. Well this was as good a time as any to show him her new tumbling skills that she had been practicing in the back yard. She waited until he was almost to her and then jumped hands first to her left, she started off great holding her hands out the way she was supposed to and then tucked into a ball and rolled once before standing up. It wasnt a great trick but it was the only thing she had mastered. She was still building up enough muscles to be able to vault herself with her hands straight to a standing position.

She stood up a little messily since she still wasnt used to not feeling dizzy and laughed, "DID YOU SEE?" She yelled back at Ryan excitement and happiness in her voice. But before she could run over to him she noticed a flurry of snow over by the cars. Was it...no it couldnt be! She couldnt believe her eyes, there was Prince Geia and King Vorel landing near the parents and something small and bundled up running towards her and Ryan. Mariel waved enthusiastically at the dragon and Owl, they were too far to hear her if she said anything so she made a note to go say hi later but she was curious about who was coming to meet them. her tail twitched in anticipation as a smile spread on her face. At Ryans question of the secret she nodded "Yes you still owe me a secret!" mariel loved to know all kinds of things and secrets were always the best knowledge.

"HI I'm Mariel whats your name?" She asked The girl seemed to know Ryan so mariel didnt bother introducing him.

Luna sat in her car and smiled when she saw Gabe and the kids arrive, of course Ryan was off to play like Mariel always was but this would be the first time she would really get to meet the little girl Ro. Luna smiled at Gabe and turned off her car and the heater as she got out and walked around to meet him. She was wearing a long black coat with white trim that looked fluffy and warm as well as white gloves. Her pants were blue denim with beige leggings under to keep warm and black hiking boots. Her hair was left loose and since it was relatively short it was sprinkled with snowflakes in no time.

"Hi Gabe, how are ju doing on this cold day," she said in her familiar accent then turned her attention to Ro who seemed to be studying Luna. "Ah so dis is da leetle princessa, she is very pretty." Luna smiled at Ro She then saw the dragon land a little ways off with the owl babysitter she had hired a few months ago. Luna sighed, oh no not Vorel, last time mariel hadnt stopped talking about getting a dragon for an entire week and now it would start all over again...well maybe not there were enough other kids to most likely keep her occupied, maybe it wouldnt be so bad this time. Luna was still uneasy about the idea of getting a dragon.

Maria pushed herself to run even faster, the gap between herself and the other children closing rapidly. She came to a nearly sliding halt as she got to them and it took her a moment to catch her brother before lifting her head and gave a bright smile, "Hello, hello." She greeted the pair, her long, armored tail was wagging behind her in a happy manner.

The owl teen looked over at Vorel before giving a little smile, happy to see that she had gotten to her friends and so quickly. She was pretty speedy when she wanted to be even though she spent a lot of her time watching her Gwee movies on the television since it got colder. He gave a smile at the two kids a smile when he and Vorel finally caught up as well, "Hello Ryan, Hello Mariel." He greeted the pair, looking over at the little girl as he motioned to his little sister, "This is my sister, Maria."

Vorel watched the group before he lowered himself down to lay down next to his owl, giving him a nuzzle before he started to tug on his hair and chewed on it lightly. It was his way of showing his affections for his owl.

Ryan looked over at Mariel " Welllll.... doooo you really want to know!" he asked all sly knowing he could get a reaction out of Mariel. He turned his back to both girls " Well does Maria want tooo know" he reached his hands out to a part of the park that was closed.

Gabriel turned to the kids , Owl , and Dragon " I think someone might keep some little people busy" he hinted.

Ro-Honda knew she was being talked about but didn't understand the topic " You two are sooo lame" she looked back at the cars , then turned to her Dad too see the dragon ....... "IS HE REALLY HERE" she thought rather loadly to herself. Her eyes got all bright. She moved with slow passes over to her dad. " YOUR THE BEST" she shouted.

Gabriel gave her a stern look "Tone" he stated. She nodded her head to agree. She knew not to talk so loadly. Gabriel was teaching her manors. He then patted her head " Looks like your going to get to meet your idol" he smiled. She also smiled , it was time of truth could the Owl live up to her expectations.

Mariel swished her tail around in the snow to do her best to cause a flurry behind her to show her excitement and impatience to learn the secret. "Come ON Ryan!! Maria SAID she wants to know the secret to, you gotta tell us...or else..." She paused as she thought of a really scary punishment if Ryan cheated them out of a secret. Unable to think of something really great she had to settle for what was at hand. "you gotta tell us or else we'll bury you in the snow! Right Maria!"

Mariel had not heard the loud yelling because she had been to focused on getting Ryan to get her to tell the secret. She began to gather up a large snowball and held it in her hands with a mischievous glint in her eye. Of course she wanted to know what the secret was but if she had to bury him in snow to get it it might be fun. Of course she was built to be light and fast so she would need Marias help since Ryan could prabably break out of the snow she could pile onto him. But both of them might get enough snow on him to hold him down. It was just like an Indiana Jones movie where they had to catch him to get back the artifact.

Luna stifled a gigle at the little girls excitement over the bird girl with her dragon. Well if she was going to be occupied by dragons at least them Gabe was going to be the one getting an earful of dragon instead of er this time and she was perfectly fine with that.

Maria couldn't help but to giggle over the idea of her and Mariel trying to bury Ryan in the snow, it was a funny idea but she wasn't sure how well they would be able to do since boys could be tough if his brothers were to be examples. She smiled, "Burying in the snow isn't fighting." She told Ryan, giving a giggle. Fighting in her mind was something that would result in pain and the snow was feeling soft enough under her booted feet, "So you should please, please tell us!" She chirped excitedly.

Ligeia did his best to keep from giggling as Ryan got surrounded by the girls who were asking him for his secrets, even teasing him by telling him that they were going to bury him in snow. He smiled as he looked over at the one that was calling out to him. He gave a smile as he looked at the girl who was hiding behind her Father and hugging onto him. He patted Maria on the head, "Play nice." He told his little sister before walking over to where the little girl was though stayed at a distance he hoped wouldn't scare her. He knelt down in the snow, not bothered at all by the cold, "Hello there." He greeted her.

Vorel watched as Geia went to talk with the girl before he plopped down in the snow and rolled around in it, onto his back, tail wagging. The snow was his favorite place to play and having three kids that might play with him made the dragon kick up a bit of snow onto them.

Maria lifted her hands up to pull her goggles down to cover and protect her eyes before picking up a ball of snow and tossed it at the dragon, "Your gonna bury us before we get the secret, Vorel!" She giggled.

Ryan was more into the dragon rolling around then the girls for a split second. He smiled " Well .... two kids .. fell from the slide" he pointed over to the large slide. " They didn't get to hurt , but when people looked over the park for safety they found ummmm ...aaaahhhhhh... secret place" his eyes looked as if they would pop out. He was talking about the medium sized jungle gym.

Under the jungle gym a single plastic pillar holds most of the structures. It's kind of hollow in the middle. A plastic floor mate covers the hollow part. Some teens found it, and went inside. You can use your own imagination on what happened inside of there. When the inspectors found the poor craftsmanship and giftie inside the small hollow space , they shut that part of the play ground down.

Ryan looked at Mariel and walked over to her " Maybe we can find it" he whispered in her ear "But we can't let them see" he pointed at the adults plus Ro. He chose to talk to Mariel since he knew her curiosity to find this place would be greater than Maria's.

Ro-Honda smiled at Ligeia but thats all she gave to him.

Gabriel with a cheery voice spoke " Nice to meet you Ligeia. Miss.P raved about you". He looked down at Ro " Shes really shy , but once she warms up shes not going to stay off of you" he looked over at Luna "I bet you know that feeling" he nodded.
