The sun was out and yet the icy breeze kept anything from really warming up outside. Clouds were there but fortunately they decided to stay out of the way so the bright circle in the sky could try to do it's job. Since it was so gusty and cold out the part was practically abandoned. No children wanted to play on the chilled metal, it just didn't seem pleasant. Owen however didn't mind one bet. Part of life was to tough out the bad situations, and this Chartreux went looking for those types of things. Some reason or another he liked putting himself through things he didn't like.
Walking up the jungle gym the smokey grey cat let his amber eyes wander around the slightest hint of water from the frost that gathered there over night. Sure, he was frozen to the bone. It was only logical that he would be since he was in nothing but a short sleeve and thin jeans. No sweater or overcoat. Not even ear muffs for his sensitive ears. His tail curled around his body, trying to stay warm so it wouldn't fall off.

Lorcan looked town from atop the frost covered slide and smiled. He liked the cold, feeling the crunchy grass under his feet and playing in the frost covered plastic in the park. He was scratching the frost and smiling at what it did under his hands and nails when he heard someone else in the park. He poked his head through the wood pannels and saw a very cold looking Chartreux male and frowned. "Oh now someone that cute doesn't need to be suffering so much in this weather!" He said to himself as he jumped down and walked over to the male. "Please why are you here in so little with it being so cold?" Asked the male. He had a nice warm coat on and some thick jeans on so he wasn't that cold, though he did like the cold so he didn't mind even if he was wearing what the male had on. "I know a little place if you want to come get warm?" He asked with a smile.

The tom with bleach blond hair sharply turned his head at the sound of another addressing what he assumed to be him. When his amber orbs rested on the black furred Scottish Fold he started to smile, even if his teeth were slightly chattering. "The only clothes I have are on my body. I don't really have a place to stay either, so... I just have to tough it out. Thanks for your concern, though." His narrow tail twitched from it's muscles straining to heat up. A kind gesture was made to the tom and he smiled politely with a small chuckle. "A little place, huh?" he spoke with his light British accent and shrugged, "Sure, why not." He approached the cat, trusting that this wasn't any kind of danger. The other seemed friendly enough. "Lead the way."

Lorcan smiled at the male and shook his head. "We'll have to find you some new clothes. You'll die if you don't get something better soon." He said. He liked the cold but he wasn't stupid enough to wear something as little as that. "Theres some stuff left in my place. And in the morning i'll take you next door to the kids clothing store that is on Holiday." He said with a smile. He walked out of the park and down a ways towards an abandoned book store that he had found a way into. "Its not much but theres a few books left to read and some human clothes that make for a good place to curl up in and sleep on. Gets you nice and warm." He said with a smile as he jumped onto a few box's in back of the place and climbed in a cracked window.

The Chartreux tilted his head with interest. "New clothes? But I enjoy the ones I have... well, I enjoy them more in the summer, but I could never get rid of them." He glanced at the other and noticed the toasty looking coat hanging from his shoulders. "Hm, why don't I just get a coat, like yours." He offered this idea to the Scottish Fold. They seemed to be moving already, though, on their way to the new place to stay. When the stranger led him here he put a finger on his lips and sized up the place. "Nice, nice..." Owen quickly bounced up to one box at a time before crawling under the window and slipping down. When he glanced around the look on his face was very impressed. "Hm, what a pleasant little hideaway." He walked over to a pile of clothes and flopped down onto them, lounging comfortably. "You've got a nice place here- um... stranger. Heh, I'm Owen. What do I call you?" He put his hands behind his head and just relaxed while waiting for an answer.

Lorcan smiled as the other tom introduced himself and figured he better do the same. "My names Lorcan, but most people call me Lor" he said as he began taking off his coat. After hanging up his coat Lorcan did a quick scan of his home to make sure it wasn't to messy. Satisfied with the way his place looked, he turned to Owen, "So would you like a tour of my place?" He asked with a big smile. "I can show you where you can stay." The Scottish Fold was very excited to have some company, and some cute company at that. "Or if you'd rather eat first I can show you where i keep some food."

The Scottie Fold was very kind indeed, and yet there was something about him that made Owen a bit weary. Well, perhaps weary isn't the word. Aware, maybe? He couldn't help but keep his eyes on those folded ears all the time, and not to mention his silky black coat. Now, why could Owen look that good? He had to occasionally glance down at his own fur to compare. "Huh, Well, then Lor, it looks like we're going to be great pals." He was excited to have a friend with a home. A place he could come to on cold days like these.
When the matter of being toured around came to attention the Chartruex quickly jumped up at the idea. "Oh ya! That's a brilliant idea," he let his accent stand out a little more with emphasis. "A tour would help me get to know the place a little better," he strolled over to the black tom and smirked at him. "Well, let us begin, shall we?" he said in a light heated tone, followed by a small chuckle. When the topic of food was brought up Owen tensed and his eyes widened slightly. "Food sounds so good right now. You got a rodent problem or something? Mmm, I love fresh kill!" He was accustomed to hunting his own food out in the alley or scavenging through trash cans.

Lor's let out a soft chuckle when he heard how excited the other tom got at the mention of food. "Yeah there's quite a few rats that run through here on a daily basis" he said with a slight Scottish accent. Lor was becoming more comfortable with Owen so he let his accent come out. "I also have some other food that i've stolen from some stores in the area." Lor was really enjoying having company over, he was getting sick of eating alone. "Why don't we eat first, then after dinner I can show you around?"
Lor was really starting to like the other Tom. He was very cute and his accent made him even more attractive. But the Scottish fold decided to take it slow and find out more about the Chartuex. He didn't want to scare Owen away, he wanted him to stay around because he really needed a friend.

At the mention of rats scampering through the abandoned household Owen let his eyes scan the floor, as if that was a hint that there might be one nearby. "Other food? As in... tastier treats?" He let his eyes travel back to the Scottish Fold with interest. He was always happy with a nice plump rat to feast on. Plus, the adrenalin rush from the chase always got his blood pumping and his body all heated up. The sound of a calm dinner sounded rather relaxing now, though. "Hmmm, eat first, tour later? Sounds brilliant." He continued to follow Lor's steps, making sure not to trail away from him, even though his curiosity kept pulling at him to go explore on his own.

Lor laughed at the other tom whose eyes were scaning the floor for rats. "Well Owen your in luck, just this morning I manged to steal some noodles and meat from a resturant down the road and some stuff from the bakery next door." Lor started walking torwards the room where he kept his food when he asked over his shoulder "So how long have you been in the area?" The Scottish fold was very excited to have a new friend and wanted to all about the Chartruex.

The ashy grey furred male slapped his hand to the back of his neck and began rubbing a bit nervously. "Eh, you're a sneaky one, eh? I like that, heh." He let his hands fall down, tucking themselves into his pockets to keep warm. His tail swirling around in the air behind him to show he wasn't really that cold anymore. When the question of his residence came up he gave a happy smirk. "Oh, I've been around for years. But I haven't seen you before. How long have you been here, hm?" He stopped in his tracks and let his eyes linger on the boy. He was sure younger than him, yet Owen was thankful to the kid for letting him stay here.

Lor walked over to a hole in the wall where he hide is food and pulled out some boxes. "I've been on my own for a while now, so I had learn to be sneaky if I wanted to eat." He said with a smile as he pulled out some food. "And to answer your question no I haven't been here very long, just got off the boat from Scotland a couple weeks ago." The Scottish fold pushed some noodles and meat to the other tom. "So tell me more about yourself Owen, do you have any family? Do you have your own place?" He asked around a mouth full of food.

As the Scottish Fold pulled out a stash of food and pushed the dish over to him, a large smile crossed his lips. "Ah, I see, I see. Sneaky is a good thing." He chuckled and took the mood, quickly beginning to slurp up the noodles and gnaw on the meat. He wasn't exactly a charmer at the dinner table. Manners weren't part of him. He looked up with some noodles hanging from his mouth. "Oh, Scotland, huh? That sounds interesting. That explains why you talk different from everybody else I've met. Then again, I have a bit of an accent too, if you haven't noticed." He smirked and tilted his head at the family question, feeling a bit put off by it. He didn't like talking about his family. Especially, his father. "Um... y-ya... I had a family. Not anymore though. I'm a free spirit. Left them behind quite some time ago." He continued to stuff his face. Between bites he'd mutter out more about himself. "Eh, I don't really like to have A place. I like wandering around. Ever since I took off my collar though, it's been harder to mooch off of humans though. They don't fancy feral cats as much as collared kitties, you know what I mean?" He tilted his head and tried to get a better look around Lorcan's neck. "You've still got a collar?"

Lorcan brings his hand up to his collar "Yeah I do" He said with a small sigh. "I guess I should take it off, so I can keep going with the fresh start i've got going on here." The Scottish fold didn't like thinking about his past and it sounded like the other tom didn't either. "Yeah I noticed your accent when we meet at the playground" He said with a smile. "I bet you get a lot of females with it" Lor said with a playful wink and punch to Owens shoulder. Lor was really enjoying Owens company and was hoping the other tom would stick around for long time.

Lorcan really was a joy to be around. He was really laid back and had a playful personality. Owen couldn't help but feel a sense of relaxation and relief around the other male. He was a cool kid. "Oh yes, it's bloody ********' awesome!" he immediately covered his mouth and winced slightly at the words that left his mouth. "Uh, sorry. Heh, do you feel comfortable around cussing? I usually don't in front of pleasant company." He scratched the back of his head with a bit of embarrassment brushing it's way across his cheeks. It didn't seem like this boy would have a problem with it but it was only polite to asked and see for sure.
