Tues:
Moonbug was used to pupsitting and, if she felt like admitting it, she typically enjoyed it. Pups were entertaining and the occupation was endlessly less lonely than patrolling the borders. Moon was a social creature, outside of the obvious note that her species was a pack animal. She thrived off contact with others and pups were always humorous good company. Unfortunately, they didn't always cooperate with the task either. They were either hurting one another, falling into ditches or wandering off.

As she was quick to discover that a certain little yellow hued pup had done.

Arching her brows, she glanced in one direction, then the other, before making her decision and padding softly the way she figured the pup must've gone. The scent was fresh enough. With a quick backward glance at the others, she figured they'd be safe enough for a moment or two and she bounded off. It wasn't long before she came upon the other and clicked her tongue reprovingly, "Rainingsun, you know better than to wander off from the others yet."

Chobi:
Rainingsun had wandered away from the group, yet again. This time it was a bat that had lead her astray. The lone bat had been out on an evening hunt minding its own business. That was until little speck of yellow hyper hound had caught its scent. Now it was flying in a paniced fashion, sputtering about in circles above the wild dog pups head, just barely out of reach. Rainingsun's head was craned upward watching the the silly thing fly about in circles.

A voice dragged her back to reality. Rainingsun looked over her shoulder at Moonbug, her tail still wagging like it had a mind of his own.

"I found something weird~" She chirped pointing up at the frantic bat over head. The poor thing was scared out of its mind.

Tues:
The wild dog's brows pulled down over her eyes then as she looked from pup to bat, taking in the animal's frantic state though her tail wagged in respose to Rainingsun's enthusiasm. Snorted, though whether in disdain at the panic or at the pup's clueless antagonizing it was indiscernable, Moon continued her forward movement towards the two of them. Her bright eyes watched the bat for a moment longer, then she reached out with one paw to pull the juvenile to her. "It's a bat, love. Just a bat. They're the ones that eat the annoying flying bugs that bite." She nodded, deciding that was an efficient enough response. The flying mammal was neither nuisance or necessity in the canine's opinion, if she were asked for one, so she didn't provide it with much more thought.

"They usually keep to the sky a bit higher up." She glowered at the thing when it swooped at her head, causing her to pull back a bit before looking down at Rainingsun with a broad smile, "Let's head back to the others, yeah? Can't have everyone wandering off after 'something weird'." She gave the pup an affectionate rub on the head with one paw, ruffling the fur there so it stood up on end.

Chobi:
Raining sun playfully pawed at Moonbug's paw. Everything that she was told made quite a bit of sense to the juve, but she still wanted to play with the bat. It was just amazing how it flew around the nights sky helping out the pack by eating bugs.

"Maybe when I grow up I can be a bat," Rainingsun giggled wagging her tail licking at Moonbug. The little dot of yellow was still pretty young and had no understanding that little wild dogs indeed not grow up to be little bats. Still , the playful glint in her eye suggested that the pup was being silly, as many pups were at her age.

"Moonbug, do we have to go back right now," Rainingsuns tail dropped some and her ears wilted. She wasn't ready, not yet. The pack was so big, she wanted to play.

Tues:
She licked the top of the pup's head, further cementing her attempt to style the little dog's fur. Grinning at the product of her ruffling, she let her eyes fall innocently back down to the juve's face and chuckled. "If you try hard enough, you just might be able to." She looked back up at the bat as it seemed to fling itself to and fro in the air. The frantic flapping of it's wings had a strangely satisfying sound to it, but Moonbug was old enough to know better than to illicit more noise. This thing wasn't food, but it shouldn't be unnecessarily toyed with when it was in such a state anyway.

At Rainingsun's request, her blue eyes moved towards the pup once again as she considered the idea. Sometimes it was good to get away from the group for a bit, and there had been an older dog on the sidelines watching the pups (but not watching the pups, as the old one typically preferred to 'observe'). Besides, Lightstep was supposed to swing by to keep her company, so maybe the wild dog was already there waiting for her. Feeling a bit reckless, but knowing no real harm could come upon the others in the middle of the packlands, she let herself flop so that she was laying beside the pup.

"I guess we can stay for a few more minutes, but let's not torture the bat, okay?" She kicked out at the pup gently with a back paw, winking.

Chobi:
The pup's tail wagged madly. To say the least, Rainingsun was very pleased with Moonbug's answer. The small yellow wild dog nipped at the biggers maw playfully in thanks. It wasn't everyday a grown up let her have her way.

Rainingsun returned Moonbug's wink with one of her own and the smile on her maw couldn't be wider. She was so happy.

"Thank's Moonbug," Her eyes returned to the frantic bat over head. The way the creature moved, it was so free to roam where it wanted to. Why it was so low was beyond the young one. That was til she saw it was after something, a bug. Moonbug had been right, they did eat bugs.

"Moonbug, maybe we should go join the others," Rainingsun giggled, "Before the bat realises your a Moonbug~" She chimed teasingly licking at Moonbug.

Tues:
Beaming at the obvious excitement the little canine exuded, Moonbug licked at the pup when she moved close at then sprawled out as the two of them watched the bat. Her ear flicked lazily as her tail occasionally twitched at the tip. She noticed the bat was chasing a bug only a moment or two before the pup had, and watched with interest as it hunted. She didn't understand how it found it's prey; Lightstep had told her that she had heard the things were nearly blind. She thought it might have something to do with their squeaking but it didn't make sense that the bugs would somehow be answering.

At the pup's giggle, her attention drifted back to the source as the other spoke. For a moment she looked playfully surprised before she reached out to gently push the pup with one paw, chortling, "Well look who's clever." She laughed again, shaking her head at the pup's quip before adding, "It would have to be quite a big bat to eat me, even, I'd think." It was well-known that Moonbug was small as far as wild dogs went, but she was pretty sure not even a whole pack or coven or whatever of bats couldn't take even her down.

Chobi:
Rainingsun playfully stuck her tongue out up at the other, her tail wagging from side to side. She was proud of how clever she had been with that remark, and it showed in her little s**t eating grin she carried. Yes, Rainingsun was indeed pleased with her self.

"You're right its to small," She gave a nod toward the bat, "If I was a bat I wouldn't eat you. I'd be a big bat," The pup was half joking. The idea of being a bat seemed fun enough, but nothing she was about to obsess over. There were so many other things that could quickly erase her want to be a bat. She was still young and still very easily distracted by goals.

Tues:
Moonbug glanced at the pup before laughing again as she laid her head back against the dirt to rub an itch out from above her eye. The ground felt good as it rubbed against her fur, and the sweet, tangy smell of earth filled her nostrils. The night sky above them was full of stars, barely visible as the sinking sun still spread it's dusky fingers over some. The bright ones still shined through, though, and Moonbug smiled at the full face of the moon. The sun couldn't outshine that at this time.

She didn't look at the pup as she spoke, but did as she finished. Appearing as if to be sizing the little dog up, her gaze moving up and down in an exaggerated motion as she lifted her head from the dirt, she nodded definitively. "Yeap, you sure would. A giant bat. I don't think you could eat me even then, though. Maybe some of the other puppies, though." She grinned, snickering quitely at the idea. That was definitely something to scare the young ones with when they were being naughty.

Chobi:
The pup giggled and made her best menacing face she could muster, trying to look like a terror. It didn't work and only instead made the pups face look all that more goofy. It felt like she was menacing though, so she kept the face.

"I'd eat them alright~" Rainingsun's voice was to chimey and happy to be serious. None the less, Rainingsun was having a grand old time. "they'd have to be really good or they'd be bat food~ " Her tail wagged at the thought. This was a fun game to play.

"What would you do if you were a bat?" The pup flopped onto her back and gazed at the sky. The stars beauty was like pearls before swine to the yellow pup. Then again, she had a short attention span. Sure they were pretty, but they were nothing like a bat that ate bugs.

Tues:
Giggling at the pup's acting, and the possibility of the pack's pups being bat food, she shook her head, "Well, it's a good thing that bat's eat bugs then, hmm?" As the pup flopped back, however, Moon let her own head fall back again as her tail slowly wagged up and down against the ground. She was content, but the group of pups she'd been assigned was a nagging thought at the back of her mind so she couldn't fully enjoy the moment. They should be getting back.

At the question, she considered for a moment before smiling, "I'd fly up to the stars." It was a silly thought, but she would if she could. "And sit on the moon."

She hesitated a moment longer, soaking up the relative solitude the two had been able to indulge in, before heaving herself slowly to her feet. Giving herself a full body shake so that bit of debris were flung off back into the dirt, she smiled down at the pup, "But we two bats should head back to the others, love."

Chobi:
Rainingsun squinted up at the moon, "But its so small," The pup wasn't able to start her rant about how small the moon was cause Moonbug was already up. The put rolled onto her own fours. Yeah, they really should be getting back.

The bat seemed content with its snack after all, and she was content with watching it. There wasn't much else interesting down here away from the group. Still, she wanted to explore deeper.

"Alright," The pup copied moonbug by shaking the dirt off her pelt, "After you then," Rainingsun nodded.

Tues:
Glancing up at the moon at the pup's response, she shook her head slowly, "No, I bet it's huge. It's just very, very far away." With a gentle shrug, as if there wasn't much else to say about it, she looked at the pup to make sure she was up as well before setting off back towards the group. They hadn't wandered that far off, so had something happened Moon should have heard it, "Come along, Rainingsun. You can chase the others and make sure they're good for me... or they'll be bat food."

Chobi:
Rainingsun didn't argue, she was right behind Moonbug. It had been a grand adventure in the pups mind and thats all that mattered.
