 Welcome to the Journal!
Here is where I will be recording Mikey's info, Pokemon stats,
RPs and battles, among other things. ;D
If you want RP with one of my Pogeys, be it battle or a
casual meeting someplace else, drop me a post!
RULES:
(Because we have to have them.)

3. Don't feel bad if I say no to a RP/battle. I have a lot on my plate, and it may be that I simply don't have time.

Mikey grew up in the big city, but she was taught from an early age that money isn't everything. She's street-wise and savvy, and can handle herself with poise. When she was ten, her parents sent her off to Jhoto to get a proper, ladylike education. However, Mikey decided that she didn't like the "girlish" education, and wound up running away to become an artist when she was thirteen. She also discarded her given name, Michelle, in favor of the nickname "Mikey." She went to Hoenn when she was fifteen to study art in Lilycove City, where she painted Pokemon who won Master's contests. She has recently traveled to Zatao to pursue her career as a traveling artist/photographer, and to pioneer keeping records of the Pokemon of the Zatao region.
Personality wise, Mikey is remarkably down-to-earth for the only child of two rich parents. Her practicality is probably a result of her many travels, and her worldly experience. Even though Mikey has a solid head on her shoulders, she can still come across as a bit spazzy sometimes, simply because she has so much going on that she can't keep track of it all.
She loves Pokemon, and loves photographing and drawing rarely seen Pokemon. Although she makes her living off of selling her work, she truly loves what she does and wouldn't trade it for the world. As she is a traveling artist, she has no permanent home, although she does have a house in Katarina that serves as a darkroom as well as a place for her to crash.
Mikey isn't particularly fond of battling, as it bothers her to watch her Pokemon get hurt, although she has been known to battle on occasion. She believes that battling can help her determine how strong she is as a trainer, and if she is ready to go after more powerful Pokemon to photograph/draw. She does have a vengeful streak, so she will try to avenge any defeats. Mikey will battle if she is provoked, meaning that she won't stand for being taunted, and will battle if need be in an attempt to prove herself.
Overall, Mikey is fairly laid-back individual who loves having fun (preferably with her beloved Pokemon by her side).

WHAT I MEAN BY PHOTOGRAPH:
I'd like to create "photographs" of wild (and trained) Pokemon that Mikey encounters. This will entail you giving me your uncert for that Pogey. I will then make a Polaroid-type image in PS which I will display here in Mikey's journal. You get to keep a copy of the photo too, in case you want to use it for sig purposes. You do not need to RP with me to acquire a photograph, however I will charge you 100g for the photo.* Photos based on RP encounters are free!
*Note: I don't have the photograph image drawn yet. I'll put a sample up when I get around to it.

Volpone is Mikey's first Pokemon, and as such, the one dearest to her heart. Volpone was abandoned shortly after his birth by a tyrannical child who decided to stop taking care of him. He then wandered the streets of Saffron City, getting dirtier, grungier, and hungrier by the day, until Mikey found him huddling under a tree to keep out of the rain. From that day forward, Mikey and Volpone have been best friends.
Volpone has pretty much gotten over his aversion to new people, preferring to snuggle them and love on them instead. He does have a problem with young children, as he views them as irresponsible. (He's still holding a bit of a grudge.) Although he won't hurt them, he does take great pains to avoid them, often disappointing a kid who just wants to hug the cute, fluffy Eevee.
Volpone's driving force is the need to protect Mikey from the danger she encounters while out in the wild. As his friend and rescuer, she has the top place in his heart, although he's nursing a bit of puppy love for another Eevee on the side.
Volpone has recently realized that he is not as strong as he believed he was, due to a battle with Runt where he became beaten up and exhausted, and has determined to evolve so as to protect Mikey better. He has no preference on what he evolves into, and is subtly dropping hints to his trainer (who is currently completely oblivious to his nudges).
