So... I know a few of you guys are also in cadets/ROTC, so post up some pics, stories, videos, whatever. Or even if you're not, if you have some awesome photos of airshows, navy vessels, etc, feel free to join in. P.S. Join Band. Me at SIC this summer with my flight: Me, on the front right end of the banner, for last year's Santa Claus Parade: And me at last year's annual year-end inspection, after winning the Commanding Officer's Award for Leadership (PS, the other guy is my CO, if you couldn't guess)

Sharp! Too bad NYC schools (as far as I know) don't offer ROTC courses. Closest that I can think of is West Point, but that's the U.S.'s top military academy, so I guess that doesn't count.

Really? I figured they would. I think some of the schools right across the border in Buffalo or around that area do. Are all American ROTC programmes just based in schools? Because most of ours are usually in some sort of a veterans, philanthropic, service, or youth clubs. We're in the Optimist Club, others are with the Lion's Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Air Force Associations, etc. Only a few are in schools or churches.

I'm a NJROTC Cadet along with Aristaline. Ohhhh... the fun times we've had. And the times to be had, we have a competition on the ninteenth. We've got some videos on youtube, and my Tech Officer and I (I'm the ADMIN) are starting a webshow for our unit. Good times, good times. When I'm feeling less lazy I'll put up some pictures, too...

What sort of competition? Our closest one I think is either sports comp or rifle team, and I'm captain of both (Well, for sports I'm captain of volleyball)

Well, I'm a Let 1 cadet at my school, and since I'm a Senior, I can't get any higher than a corporal. Either way, I like it because I'm finally doing it after putting off for so long. Better late than never, right?
Oh...but the bad thing is that I'm stuck with a bunch of sophomores. The majority are still immature...ugh. Any tips on how to deal with the little buggers?
In any case, I have to go to the board for tomorrow. If I do this write, I get promoted, so wish me luck, ok?
Oh, and I'll post up pictures soon once I get them.

Oh, and I'll post up pictures soon once I get them. Good luck! And as for sophomores, (I'm a Junior, this is what I do) Punch them in the face (Not really) Or out smart them and be like, "I'LL END YOU." Usually gets mine to go away. They don't like me much, I don't cut them any slack... god I hate sophomores. To Doc: Drill Competition. When We say Drill Competition it also means Color Guard Unarmed Drill Armed Drill (Three phases to armed and unarmed, Inspection, Regulation, Exibition) Strength Team (Situps, Pushups, Run) Rifle Teams Singles Duals IDD (Individual Drill Down) All for a day of fun-filled ROTC stuff! Well, part of the fun is picking on the other schools, but whatever. >> I've ran Unarmed, Armed, and Strength. Only done Strength once, and now that we're short I might be doing it again. (Because I'm Armed I can only be an alternate, only aloud to go if times don't overlap.) Sooo... good times to be had. > biggrin

I wish you all the luck in the world! blaugh But wait, if you have all the luck in the world, then that means there's no chance of the subway running at all today, so then I'll have to walk to school in the downpour. *takes a little bit of luck back* And to deal with sophomores, just call Soren and some of her NYC buddies, and we'll head right on over with bats and our 'mad skills' with butterfly knives. 3nodding

Well, I'm sure with these methods I could get kicked out of school, but man, they sound effective! Wish I could try it...but I won't.
Anyways, I ordered some pictures from JROTC and I got the test pic for free, so here it is.
