Skye had been shopping though it had been somewhat unsuccessful, the clothes around here seemed cheap and so she had only found a couple of things she liked. She wasn't use to all this, she wasn't even use to carrying her shopping about. Oh she wanted to go home, get away from this whole school thing. Though if she was at school why she hadn't gone to Barren Pines she didn't know. She would have to mention that to her parents in their next letter. She was suppose to be at the best school, not second best!

She found a nice coffee shop, it was quite sweet and small so she entered it. Coffee should taste nice whatever right? She wasn't really that fussy about drinks and food as she was clothes so chances are it wouldn't matter much what the coffee tasted like, as long as it tastes nice.

Moving towards the counter she ordered her coffee before going and sitting at a table near a window. She dumped her bags on the seat next to her and say down. It was a nice little shop, yes she liked it. The coffee arrived and tasted good too! At least not everything around here sucked.

Another slow day, just sitting inside the coffee shop. With a sigh, Melinda glances down at her cup of tea. Tapping the side of the cup with her nails, she picks it up to take a sip from it. Maybe she should just head back tot he academy, and get the rest of her homework done.

She stood, only to stop when she saw a familiar girl step into the shop. Melinda's brow arches as she glances at her. She went to the academy also, she seen her around the school. Slowly taking her seat again, she chews on her bottom lip.

She couldn't place a name to the face, but she knew she seen her before. Shaking her head, she turns away to look at her cup of tea. Picking it up, she grabs her coat as she moves towards the girls table.

Smiling to her, she nods her head in respect "Hello, do you go to Crystal Academy?"

Skye looked up as she heard someone come over asking a question. Was she talking to her? Must have been.

"Yes I go to Crystal, do you?" Skye generally didn't pay attention to the other girls at school, other then Serah who seemed to like sneaking out at night. Skye couldn't help but wonder if Serah had a boyfriend or something, it was the only explanation Skye had come up with. One day she would actually ask her, or follow her, or something.

"I am Skye Fortescue." Might as well introduce herself right?

Melinda was so glad she wasn't wrong in her thoughts. With a smile, she holds her hand out towards Skye "Please to meet you Skye. I'm Melinda Reese, and yes I also go to Crystal Academy." giving her a smile, she chuckles.

"I've seen you a few times in between classes. I thought it would be only fair to say hello. I wasn't expecting to see another from Crystal today. Normally I find boys from Hillsworth here, or Barren Pines." she thought of the few people she met here.

Skye took her hand and smiled back, "It's nice to meet you too Melinda." Well it was about time Skye actually met someone from school. She seemed to spend so much time shopping and in the gym that she hadn't been as social as she normally would.

"You have seen students from Barren Pines? I haven't seen a single one, I assumed they weren't allowed to leave campus." It was the only reason Skye didn't mind not going there, she liked leaving to shop in fact she loved shopping. Though other then that one reason she really should have been at Barren Pines. As for Hillworth boys, Skye generally stayed clear of them, they were not worth it in the slightest, poor, skanky boys were not her scene.

"You like the boys from Hillworth?" Skye asked in a very casual voice, maybe a little too casual. She wouldn't judge the girl yet but really hanging around with those skanks. Skye thought too highly of herself for such things.

Shaking her head, Melinda chuckles alittle "Well they found me really. Fallon I met at the park, and Lucas was fishing in the fountain outside." she pauses as she thought about the one guy she met from Hillworth. He wasn't bad at all, he was actually rather sweet.

"I met one guy from Hillworth, but he wasn't like any of the boys that normally go to the school. He was actually a gentleman." placing her hand on the chair, she nods "Is it alright if I join you?"

"Sure sit down." She contemplated what was just said to her, a boy from Hillworth being a gentleman? Highly unlikely. The Barren Pines lot were a different matter she wanted to know more about that school but information about it seemed somewhat limited at least for her anyway. She would have to get her father to sort all that out.

"So what things do you like to do then?" Might as well keep the conversation going and Skye really did need a friend or follower or two. "Anything at school that you do other then our dull lessons?" Because the lessons really were dull or at least they were to someone like Skye who had been taught at home when she had wanted to and before now had never set foot inside a classroom.

Slipping into the seat across from Skye, Melinda smiles as she cross her arms in front of her on the table. Leaning forward, she chuckles as she push her blond hair from her face "I love playing music on my flute, and window shopping. Then again, what young woman doesn't like shopping?" picking her cup of tea up, she takes a sip from it.

"Oh and I watch sports, its a favorite I use to do with my father and brother." in her mind, it was about the only thing that didn't make her totally girlie. Not that she didn't mind, it was nice to be able to understands what her brother and father talk about.

"What about you Skye? What do you like to do?"

Playing her flute? Skye wasn't a flutist, far from it.

"I play the piano." She stated, she had been forced to learn when she was younger. Apparently ever sophisticated young lady should be able to play the piano. Skye had learnt to enjoy playing it though and the large grand piano that took up one of the rooms in her house had become a good friend of hers. The room overlooked one of the gardens and it was always so easy to enjoy playing while looking outside.

"I do sports, I play squash and tennis, I also like to dance, ballroom of course and I do horse riding which I have done since I was tiny. I also go hunting along with doing Archery." Yes Skye did a lot of things, it was one of those things that just happened when you were home schooled. She had her tutor who came in and taught her for a few hours a day then she would get on with other things. She had never cooked or washed anything, they had maids for that. Her house was incredibly old fashioned in the way that it was run but Skye loved it. She adored her life.

((Sorry its taking me so long to post back. This stupid infection took alot out of me.))

Playing the piano, something Melinda could never get into. She never understood why, but she found herself bored when playing. But then, not everyone was a fan to the flute. With a smile, she place her hands in her lap as Skye spoke of all the other things she done.

Things in which Melinda dreamed of doing herself, but just couldn't. Leaning forward, her smile grew wider as she looks to Skye "What is Archery like? I mean, does it really help relieve stress?" she always been tempted to give it a go, but then her mother was always scared she would get hurt.

So Archery was a no go in her house.

Skye raised her eyebrows at the questions about archery. Stress relief? Not really, she had to perfect it, hunting was a stress relief but not archery.

"No not really, you have to really concentrate on what you are doing, also you are trying to fit a small spot that is quite a way from you. Hunting is a stress relief, nothing better then killing to relieve stress but not archery." She had no issue talking about killing animals, she wasn't an animal lover. She didn't really care about animals or most humans at that.

"What do you do for stress relief?" If she got stressed? Skye got stressed about all sorts, what clothes to wear, the stupidity of poor people and all those kind of things.

Melinda remain quiet for a couple of minutes as she thought of what Skye said. She found herself trying not to cringe at the fact she didn't mind killing animals. Giving her a rather weak smile, she move her hands to her lap "I would have to say bike riding through the park. Listening to the children run around playing, and just the breeze on a nice day. Seems to put my mind at ease."

With a light chuckle, she glance down at her watch, finding that she would have to leave soon. She would have to head back to her dorm and finish up her last minute homework before class.

Looking up at Skye, she smiles as she bows her head "I really must be off. I have homework I must finish before classes tomorrow." standing carefully, she pulls her coat off the back of her chair "It was nice to meet you Skye. I'll see you around school?" with a small bow again, she turns as she makes her way towards the front door of the coffee shop.

Pulling on her coat, she turns only to give Skye a wave, then was out the door.

Skye wasn't liking this girl much the more she spoke. In fact Skye half wondered why the girl was even in a school like Crystal. Bike rides, listening to children? How pathetic. Skye just forced a smile and nodded at the girl, she wasn't in the mood to talk anymore and was somewhat relieved when the girl said she had to go.

"I expect so." Skye smiled sweetly as she spoke hoping that she wouldn't see the girl around school. She didn't want to be associated with someone who liked listening to children playing, how sad.

As the girl left, Skye waved back before turning back to her coffee.
