What do you think of overall political correctness? I feel that people have been going overboard with the stuff lately and that people need to get over some stuff. I've never even thought of the term Oriental was in any way offensive or ... whatever. I could care less about dumb stuff like that.. ._. There's so much worse out there, and it sure as heck doesn't stop racist people and other generally hateful people say even worse things, and little can be done about that it seems. Why push it overboard and be completely a**l about it even more?
I mean, sure. I'll still comply with the more politically correct terms to not only avoid offending anyone over something as insignificant as words, but also to respect people with the politically correct term. Example, my previous topic titled, "Happy Holidays". But... yeah. I just feel that people are being ridiculously oversensitive lately.
What do you guys think of political correctness and oversensitivity?
