What does everyone like better? Cats or Dogs? Do you have a favourite breed? Do you have any cats or dogs now? What are their names? Tell us about them!
My personal preference is kitties. I love calico kitties. I have had many in my life and three that I can remember--Cuddles, Boots, and Sweetie. Cuddles passed away 3 years ago, sadly. She was a really sweet kitty who got sweeter in her later years. Boots is her daughter--the runt of her litter. She is getting up there in age, too, but she is doing well. She loves snuggling and sleeping underneath the covers. Sweetie is my most recent kitty and she is solely mine. I got her back in April. She was a feral kitty from a shelter and was pretty frisky at first, but she has since calmed down. She loves sleeping with me at night, especially in between my legs; giving kisses; purring; being petted in the mornings; and sleeping in paper bags. She's a total attention-whore, but I love her!
I don't mind dogs either, but...
CATS RULE DOGS DROOL!

lol I'd have to say cats too. I've only had one pet (with the exception of fishes but I never really counted them since they die fast...only one lived with me for years before I was born until I moved where I live now....His name was Louie. He's gone now though.).
Her name was Snuggle and she was a Vanilla Persian. ^_^ Super cute who can play rough but loved my attention. She liked to walk with me around, even to the school bus stop to pick up my sister and enjoyed racing back home (when we were close to the house). She also liked to play fetch, tag, or hide and seek. XD She was like a dog more than a cat. It was so cute!
She was also smart and cleaver...she's gone now and I never got another b/c mom didn't want pets in the house. I got snuggle b/c my uncle was moving and wanted to give her to someone he knew would take care of her and where he can see her again. We always wanted a cat so it was wonderful news and mom couldn't say no to her little brother. ^_^ (In the end my mom loved snuggle though she really didn't like the idea of having an pet in the house.)

I'm a cat person - i love dogs if they're well trained but they're far too mcuh effort both physically and emotionally. With cats you get what you wnat out of a pet without half the hassle, and I respect their independance. you don't have to dominate them and establish yourself as an alpha of a pack, you just leave them to it.
Cat wise at my house for as long as I can remember we've only had one breed of cat, since they're such a pretty and friendly breed, which is the Somali (aka long haired Abyssinian). Our cats have been Tin-tin, Barnaby, Gambit (and my fave who recently died sad ) Duncan.
Dog wise my nannan and grandad have always had boarder Collies, so they're my favourite breed. I love biggish wolfy dogs like boarder collies and Alsations etc. i depse little dogs, they're usually nasty ><

I've always been a cat person.
Though when I was a kid I had three dogs.
Buffy was this little white dog who had some kind of condition so she died within the month that we got her.
Clifford was this big reddish mutt that we got along with Buffy. He was sweet but really playful and I didn't know how to take care of dogs so I felt awful when he ran away because I felt like he was running away because he hated me.
Daisy we got after Buffy died, she was big and white, we thought a husky-mix, but she also ran away with Clifford.
But as for cats, I love cats. I've had cats since I was born.
Kissy and Tudy my mom had from before I was born and Kissy was the sweetest cat ever, she had to be in a home with a toddler in it. I don't think she ever scratched me once.
Tudy was kind of mean and always kid from me but after Kissy died, of old age she was about 17 or 18, she got lonely I guess and became much more friendly.
Right now I have Mimi, Caravaggio, Riley, and Beans.
Mimi is the oldest, she's about nine. She can be sweet but usually she's kind of mean. Caravaggio, Vaggie(VAH-gee) for short, is so patient and has made many proclaimed dog-lovers want a cat. We got him from my step-brother who loves cats but had to move into an apartment that didn't allow them and Vaggie was too sweet and nice to give away so we took him in, even though we already had three cats at that point. My step-brother likes to name his cats after people in history. Caravaggio was a painter, he's had Marquee who I also believe was a painter, and Oblivia, but I don't remember what she was. Riley is really skittish and she always looks at you with these big, sad kicked-puppy eyes that make you feel terrible for some thing you didn't do. (As far as I know she was never abused since we got her pretty young) Beans is technically my mom's cat, but she always hangs out with me.

(Completely the opposite of this really fluffy and cute quiet chuwawa this guy at work was holding in the elevator. He let me pet her! She was sooooo cute!!) Apparently he takes her to see kids that have leukemia. She's very quiet and patient. 3nodding

i like both but I am fond of cats really? why? cause cats are easy to love.. they're very clean by nature and they are very cuddly to their owners.. i love it when they paly around my legs.. ^-^

... Can I say both? Porbably cats more, cause they're a little cleaner, but I like dogs because it's nice having a little guy following you around when walking. I've got allergies, so I don't have any animals. crying My two closest friends have chihuahuas. Have you ever seen a chihuahua with BLUE fur? Like one of the... Siberian Blue Cats? A chihuahua with that color? It was so cute, and named Pepper! Aww! Anyway, I love watching Dogs 101 and Cats 101 for some odd reason, and I think I found my favorite breeds: Dog: Puli, Chinese Crested, King Papillion Cats: Maine Coon, Scottish Fold, Munchkins

I heart cats! My best freind was a cat named Jounior ( was, becase I left him when i moved cry ). I also have a kitty (person with cat ears / tail) in my sig! I'm a true blue cat person. But I do like dogs. I just like cats more. Cats seem to love me back. I'm like a cat magnet!

This is a hard one.
I kinda like both, but I'd have to say cats.
I was attacked by a dog when I was little, I get jumpy when they bark.

Not that I really mind dogs, but I do prefer cats. I have a cat, his name is Bonos. He's a spoiled cat and I love him. He's very talkative and has alot of personality. He's also very set in his ways. He will only drink water out of a special cup that he likes on my bathroom counter. He's my kitty and I love him. ^^ heart
