Hikari struggled on the thought to either share his secret with her or not.
After a while of debating, he decided that letting her in on what the reason was might be for the better...or it
might just make things worse. "Have you ever heard of the secret of the ancient egyptians and their 7
millenium items?" He reached into his shirt and pulled out his dragon necklace out. "Well they lied.. In
order to keep them from the evil lord Zorc.. They never spoke of an 8th item.." He grew silent once more,
the necklace still visible. "This one.. that like the ring and puzzle holds a spirit within." He held it
in his hands, then buried it back into his shirt. "It was because of this item, that I believe we were sent to
the shadow realm."

Lerena nodded. "I've heard the secret. It's a legend in my village." she explained. "Tell me more about your item." said Lerena. "It's important that I know what it does so I know what's going on. I'll be able to handle myself better if I'm properly informed." she added. It was the same legend she heard about in her village. It was used in reference to something that should never be attempted, yet many of her villagers tried to create millennium items for themselves. A few of them remained in her village's prison and others were scattered across the country, having been outcasts in her village. She herself wanted to try such a ritual with her sister to gain more power, but her sister seemed mature enough in the very least to say no to that. As Lerena got older, she realized it was immature of her to think about doing such a disastrous crime. Making the items involved murdering countless people back then and it would likely be no different now. Lerena was still ill about speaking of magic as her village rarely discussed the topic during present times. She was worried about offending villagers so she never offered to talk about it.

Hikari struggled to talk about it. This item has caused him so much pain in the past. "Well from what my father told me, he was a archeologist for many years of his life" he added in. "Back in ancient egypt there lived the king atem and his many deciples all living underneath him, all weilding a different millennium item. Although it was the pharoah who controlled the mighty egyptian gods themselves, He place three guardians to protect them, one for each monument. I'm not too sure how true this next part is, but its what i heard." He started to move his foot around on the floor, it gave him a distraction to do while he talked, he found it easier that way. "It is told that being near the egyptian gods for such long periods of time, gave these two men and actually one woman, power. Power to weild the gods themselves. I do not remember their names but.." He forced himself to look at Lerena as he spoke. "It was the keeper of the egyptian god, Slyther the Sky Dragon, that lives within' this millenium item." He stopped for a second, and then continued. "I don't know if he did it willingly or if the power corrupted him, but he took Slyther's power and used it to fight against the pharoah. He seemed to be unstoppable." At Lerena's facial expression he added, "I'm not sure if all of this is true, but its what ive been told, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were true." He then continued with the original story. "The pharoah and the rest had no other choice but to lock the power away, they infused this guardian into an 8th millennium item. This was called the Millennium Dragon. It was rumored to hold the spirit of that guardian within." He paused for a while and leaned against the building wall. "But its true, I saw this power for myself, during the last shadow game duel that I participated in." He looked away he couldn't bare the embaressment. "It was like something took over me, guided me, I believe its the spirit, and although we won, that just meant that the opponent was sent to the shadow realm.. and is gone forever." He forced himself to look back at Lerena. "I apologize but I have a feeling that this spirit is causing this."

Lerena remembered her village and all its legends. They knew basically nothing about ancient Egypt. A few people here and there had gone to the present-day Egypt, but no one went there for work. Her father was a scientist who might try to gain power. No matter how many times she told him not to go too far, her father always performed dangerous experiments. Lerena was shocked to hear this story, because she had no power to fight against it. Even her uncle Cobra didn't provide her with enough willpower to fight against more intense pain. "Power truly is a frightening thing, isn't it? I'm afraid I have nothing to offer except my friendship and loyalty." she said when she finally spoke. "If there was possibly an item I could be destined to wield, maybe I would be of more help." Lerena added sadly. "I apologize if I seem a bit weak."
