The Story
Deep inside the woods there is a circus. Not alike any circus you may have attended, but a circus still. The performers....they're unusual. Not like any people you have ever met. Humans, but the may have animal parts, or strange abilities or extra limbs.
These people, most of them were born normal, just like you my wonderful guest. But they were taken, and changed for the customer's enjoyment. These Freaks as we call them, are treated poorly, little food or rest and chained up usually. If any visitor were to find out too much about our little show....well they'll be forced to join up with the rest..
Its up to you to decide--Are you going to try to help them escape from the ringmaster? Or just let them stay locked up forever?

What is your greatest fear or weakness? {I'm absolutlely terribfied of drowning. I can't swim and I have some kind of rare medical condition which gives me dizzy spells unexpectedly where I can't see straight or think.}

Please, tell me more about yourself. {I just wanted to come here and have some fun. I needed to get away. That night I got into a fight with my big brother and ran out of the house. I stumbled into the cirque and for most of the night I had a good time. I wandered too far into the back and the next thing I know I can't move at all. My legs are locked into place and I can't lift my arms or turn my head. A sharp jab to my neck makes me collapse and fall into unconcious. I woke up with strange and intricate tatoos all over my arms and legs and I'm locked in a cage.}

Please, tell me more about yourself. Ah... I remember it like it was yesterday. Well, eleven years ago when I was five, I went with my family to a cirque. My parents let me wonder since the place seemed safe enough. I wondered a bit too far though... I found my way to a strange looking door, and soon passd out, even today I cannot remember what I saw before that. But I know that when I woke up, my fear was immense and I saw spirits and the bodies of people who died on that cirque. I found that if I calmed herself down, they would go away. But one thing I knew I couldn't reverse was that my long black hair was chopped off. I try to regrow it, but each year it is cut once again.
Personality? I am pretty much fun and outgoing. Though it messes with some peoples' meloncholy, I just don't want everybody to be so sad. But sometimes I can have a real attitude with Mr. Lokin.

Please, tell me more about yourself. I was turned a long time ago.... I lived on my own for a while, but then I was captured by the Cirque after letting my guard drop. I had been running from the Cirque for a while, and I thought that there was no way that they would find me. But, they did. I was captured, and brought here to 'perform' in the show. How they found out my greatest weakness I'll never know.
I can't remember my life from before I was turned, and I figure that it's better that way. I just know that I can withstand sunlight, and that I'm fast, and that is why the Cirque wanted me.
Personality? Confident, and provocative. I'm not afraid to speak my mind. The only reason that I stay here and put up with this crap is because they threaten me with fire, and my cell is made of white ash wood.

Please, tell me more about yourself. {It was a mistake. Really. Coming here, not really. Bringing that book, that was my mistake. How was I supposed to know that the ringmaster would take my roleplaying book and turn it against me? I was twelve, when this happened. I remember wondering aloud if they had a water nymph, what with all the strange things I'd already seen. They didn't, but soon, they would. I had broken away from the little group I'd been wandering with, and soon found myself backstage at the freak show. I didn't hear anything before I felt a sharp stab in my shoulder.
The next thing I knew, I was underwater. I was running out of breath, but couldn't get to the surface in time. I let out my breath, but didn't drown. That's when I knew something was strange. After a while, people explained to me the deal, and gave me this mermaid tail. (What, you thought that was real? Nope, two legs under there.) Now, I dance underwater, swim around, and generally delight people with my water ballet. Oh, and yes, I do wear a top.}

Aside from that, she was actually captured in the wilderness of the Taiga, and happily sold to the circus. It's not known for sure, but Fera supposedly loves to snack on humans every so often. She gets out of her cage thanks to her human-like intelligence, and Ana. One last note; she communicates telepathically. So, when on stage, she speaks to the whole crowd, causing more panic and chaos.}

Please, tell me more about yourself. {Sold to the circus a mere three decades ago, Adelphos is now used in many shows as a substitute for the stereotypical circus lion. Information on his past remains scarce to this day. The creature seldom speaks, though he does through either regular speech or a strange form of telepathy similar to Fera's. He does breathe fire, but tends to save it for the grand finales of shows. In Greek, ‘adelphos’ means ‘brother’. He named himself in honor of being the brother of first chimera, his sister, and several other creatures, including the infamously legendary Cerberus and Orthros. Despite this amazing heritage and past, he does not have any desire whatsoever to leave the circus. That's not saying, though, that he doesn't hate the Ringmaster...}
Personality? {Though he is generally silent, Del does speak to a select few, one of those palpably being Fera. He is very powerful and intelligent, with the cunning of a fox, and has the typical attitude of a male lion. He can become rather prideful, like Fera, when he or his heritage is insulted.}

Please, tell me more about yourself. {Well, I don't really enjoy speaking of my past, but if I must...I was five when my parents simultaneously committed suicide, leaving me alone in our home to fend for myself. Months went by, and I eventually ran out of food. Being six, you wouldn't expect me to do what I did. I used the gun my parents suicided with to hunt small animals. Dogs, cats, and the occasional squirrel were my main diet, though I also stole food from local stores. Another year passed. Now, I was running low on ammunition, so my eyes were set on a bigger prize- human meat. At first, human flesh smells and isn't exactly appetizing. But, if you get used to it, there's a variety of ways to cook it. Yes, by then, I would have been classified as mentally insane. Anyway, I survived that year too, and decided to celebrate my success by taking a little trip to the circus. Little did I know that it would be a one way trip...Anyway, I can serve the circus as an animal tamer, knife thrower, and sword dancer if necessary in a performance. Though, most of the time, I'm just a 'display' freak.}

My father was the great Poseidon, and my mother, I am assuming, as I have never met her, was a human, making me a 'half-god' with some aquakinetic abilities. I can't really remember most of my childhood, only swimming in a vast open sea. But what I do remember is what happened when I was about 10 years of age. I remember being caught in a net, then sold world-wide to scientists, wealthy humans, sideshows- all of those horrid things. Please, tell me more about yourself. Came to Cirque by myself, i had thought about treating myself on my own birthday,
but as i was almost ready to go, i wanted to take a look backstage, i was always a trouble maker, thats when i felt something hit the back of my head. I remember waking up briefly to a thumping pain in my head before blacking from being electricuted, i remember breifly someone putting something in my arm, before waking up small sized, and in a bird cage.
Personality? Shy/timid, but also bubbly at times, loyal to friends, caring and mishcevious.
Other? Shhhh they don't know it but....on rare ocassion, i can make myself grow almost human size, note almost. I hoping on getting out of here and perfect, that so i can hopefully be somewhat normal again one day.

Please, tell me more about your normal worker self. Well, since I've been here for so long I'm pretty high up in the worker section. But for my past, I saw my sister get changed... It was horrible, all the needles... Then I was given an ultimatum, get turned, or work here for the rest of your life. I chose option number two as you can see. I remember when Nima first came, I was kinda happy she was changed, but that made me feel weird, I knew it was because that if she wasn't changed, he wouldn't have ever met her.

After his birth his mother died and he was taken care of by the Cirque. He Grew up around the Freaks and the prejuduce towards them which he picked up on. Please, tell me more about your normal worker self. Jojo has the blood of a half-witch and doesn't tell that to everyone of course. She's the one that releases freaks from time to time which gets her in trouble. The girl only does that to annoy the Ringmaster for fun. Yes, she has been in a circus before. And her uncle was the Ringmaster, but she was treated just like all the other performers which is the total opposite of how her current Ringmaster treats them. Known also as the 'Mad Hattress' since she always wears a strange top hat all the time. Jolene isn't a freak since magicians aren't as 'stunning' as what the freaks are. So,she just sits back and relaxes when its not her turn to perform.

Please, tell me more about your normal worker self. {Well, I'll save you the trouble of listening to my crap and make it short...I was basically an illegitimate child, making my parents hate me with a passion and literally beat the sh** out of me every time they were pissed. I was barely 6 when my crazy b**** of a mother stabbed me in the eye! Which explains my permanent eye patch. Moving on. Once I recovered, which didn't take long, I came home with...a new outlook on my life. Using a kitchen knife and piano wire, I stabbed my mother 27 times and ringed my father's throat. To cover up the evidence, I used my newly discovered pyrokinesis abilities to burn my house down. After that, I ran away to the circus, hoping to be...accepted, I guess, by others for what I am...Aside from that, I perform in shows that contain any kind of fire-related stunts because I can manipulate fire and such. In some shows, they strap me into this black leather straight jacket, to psychologically scare the crap out of the crowd.}
Personality? {Sarcastic, stoic and standoffish, headstrong, and very independent. He can even be psychotically sadistic, cruel, and overpowering. But it's just his exterior. Once you get to know him, he can be caring and even sweet, in his own strange way...}

Well, tonight I will go to this 'Circus', in need of a night to see this amazing show that many have feared to go to, due to rumors and such around my hometown. My friends told me stories of past years when many have disappeared, stumbling across this fest, but of course, I ignored them completely. I know that maybe some of them might have truth somewhere in the tales, but as of now, I am not sure that I care much. All I want is the show that I am promised.

Begin! It was quiet, the early morning of the cirque almost to begin. The grass outside was wet and the sun was still low in the sky. A gloved hand picked up a microphone from inside a trailer. The man cleared his voice and pressed a button. "It is now 5:30 AM. Everyone must now get up and prepare for the day. 30 Minutes until the first performance of the day." The ringmaster chuckled as he clicked the button off.

Micaiah jolted up in her cage, she still wasn't used to the morning wake-ups calls. She looked around her cage and saw the sun low in the sky. She moaned, she was preforming today. She hated preforming, the scary people rising up from the ground. A shiver went down her spine as she thought about it, she wiped the sleepies away from her eyes and stretched as far as the binding chains would let her...

Nodachi didn't bolt up, but his eyes just shot open. 5:30am? He hasn't gotten past it in his many years in the circus. He sweeped his legs off the side of the practically card-board bed and stretched, he got on what he wore nearly every day, a gray-ish polo//man blouse (hmmm whats it called?) and jeans. Nothing special, nothing fancy. He was about to walk out when he forgot those stupid ears. He quickly ran back and put the damn things on, then left to make sure Nima had gotten up. He felt lucky to be the care taker of her 'encloser'. He shook his head, this place reminded him of a zoo...

Lily yawned as she sat sup, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Being an early riser she was used to waking early. She shivered, rubbing her hands up and down the sides of her arms in an attempt to stay warm until one of the workers came to let her out of her cage.
Zachary groaned as he opened his eyes. Waking up this early was a terrible bother to him. He sat up and waited quietly until he was to be released for the day. He yawned loudly and his head hung slightly from tiredness.

Nima stretched and sighed. She slept well, odd, considering her usual habit of having to get up in the night and calm herself down. She dove into the water, minus her tail, to get a bit more limber. The water was warm, as always, and she loved never having to come up for air. Her blue hair flowed around her as she danced below the water. She wondered if the ringmaster would have her wear her tail, or put on the filmy seaweed dress and go nymph. It varied by day. Peering out of the tank, she saw Nodatchi walking by, going toward the opening to her cave. She smiled and swam to the viewing window. She knocked on the window.

Nodachi heard a knocking sound, and turned his head to hear where the noise was coming from, he smiled and waved slightly. He took out a sandwich from behind his back where he was hiding it. He hated the crap he forced the others to eat, so he always snuck a sandwich for Nima and his sister, Micaiah. He took out a pair of keys from his pocket and opened up the door to the dry part of the 'exhibit' and crouched down near the water, holding out the sandwich to Nima.

Micaiah fidgeted in her cage, the dress she forced forced to wear then sleep in everyday was uncomfortable. She had slept in a weird position the way her arms were shackled the day before.
