Ah, the rogue lands! Who wouldn't enjoy their wide spaces and variety of adventures? Heh, too bad Lia couldn't go about and experience them whenever he'd like. Nope, it was not the ways of a pride member. It was his duty to stay within the borders, defending and guiding all those who needed it. Not out frolicking carelessly in foreign lands.
Still, it was sooo tempting for the young male. Huffing, the dark hued Lia sat on his haunches as he scanned forward. He was right there, right on the border's edge. But that was fine, he was a family sort and was suited to his own lands. What was a little unknown when you already had alot to be thankful for?

Unlike Lia, Tikoto was on the outside looking in. She discovered this pride a day ago, but unlike the others she'd come across it was air tight. No room for error here. She'd just pack up and move on until such an oppurtunity presented itself.
Still she couldn't help, but take one last jog up to the border. It was there that she spotted something she hadn't anticpated; a lion. Young by the looks of it, but deliciously dark. Tikoto's pace slowed by half as she approached him. By the feel of things he was alone, as was she and if worst came to worst she could defend herself. "You know, one step won't kill you."

Oh?
Head tilted as he noted the stranger rogue approaching him. It was a lion, and a rogue for certain as he didn't recognize the scent or sight of the fur. Flicking his tail to coil near his front paws, the male blinked before deciding to shrug in reply.
"Sometimes it can though. Besides, I have no urgency to move about at the moment." And it was true, as he glanced around. There were no threats or concerns to rush towards. And it wasn't time yet to worry about hunting for a meal. Quirking a brow, the lion turned his attention back to the dark lioness. "It seems you're taking many steps yourself. Just what are you traveling for? Have you been escorted by a guard yet?" Why else would she be here so casually and stopping to chat?

Tikoto shrugged elegantly as she came up to a stop just a ways infront of him. Making a little show of showing her inner foreleg, she sat down with her tail flopping lifelessly on the ground. "True, true. But don't you like exploring? If you stay in that little bubble your whole life, however will you become an adult?"
Pouting just a little, she broke off with a devilish smile. "A guard?" Tikoto shook her head. Gamey flecks of an unkempt mane flopped over her left eye. "Can't say as I've been looking for one. It's mothers I want, mother's to be. They make the most delicious snack." She said frankly. What use was it to lie? It took up so much energy to think of, and even more to keep up with. Looking into his eyes, she purred innocently, "Now will you step out? Or will you allow me to leave, knowing I mean harm to your people?"

Lia chose to ignore her odd way of sitting while tilting his head at her own logic. A little bubble? Was that really all that she could see? Chuckling lightly, the male shook his head. "Oh? Do I have to explore far lands to be able to grow? Why age so quickly?" Besides, his family and conscious wouldn't think highly of him for abandoning his homelands.
Muzzle frowned though as the rogue spoke unexpectedly against mothers. What demonic creature was this?! "You jest!" The lion stood, and though young he already stood about as tall as the rogue lioness. Already he was counting in his head if and how many expecting mother's there were in his pride. Thankfully he could think of none at this time.
Bristling his mane in sudden aggitation, Lia lowered his muzzle with a warning growl. "You will do no such thing! Even if I have to chase you out myself. There are no mothers or cubs to expect here anyways. So be gone with you."

Tikoto snickered. She cocked her head to the side, slipping one shoulder forward a tad. "I was just suggesting a little romp in the land surrounding your home. Not a life long journey. Whats so wrong with that? But if you prefer to stay in your land of eternal youth, by all means do so."
She wondered vaguely if any of her cubs had survived, would they be like him? With such spirit and fire in his soul, just waiting to burst? Tikoto could see it in his eyes. She'd found a better prey in him.
Orchid eyes widened. Tikoto tossed her head back in a chilling cackle that rocked her body with spasms. Holding a paw up to cup her her head, she gave in to the laughter even as he rose. She looked up at him with her right eye. Would he strike her down for such talk? Oh, how delicious would that be? Beat me, break me, burn me! It's been so long since I've fought something worth fighting!
"Obviously I won't, seeing as you have no mothers to be ingesting!" She snapped. "What a stupid comment to make. Cubs will do just fine and I know you've got plenty of those." She snorted, curling her muzzle in contempt. "And where shall I go? My den is just past that rock to the west. I'll keep coming back to get what I want and I'll be damned if some cub will stand in my way!"

"I'll romp when I please, and not by the taunting of some other lion." He snuffed at the strange female and her twisting words. One moment speaking of ill actions, and the next mentioning things of wonders. Perhaps it was no surprise that she was a rogue. Who'd want such a threat in their pride? She was almost like a snake, just coiling and waiting for an egg nest to discover. And he'd be sure she found none.
Ears flew back and Lia took a step away as the rogue tossed a cruel laugh in the air. Just what was so humorous in this situation?! Nothing! The boy growled in tempered confusion as he observed the lioness. It might be wise of him to roar out an alert call, and see how many pride guards appeared. But not just yet. Just what was she up to?
"Pft, what a stupid diet to have. Consuming mothers, how insane can one be?!" Though Lia did falter when she mentioned cubs, and he knew there were a good handful of such younglings within the pride. They couldn't be at risk. "I may be young, but I am no cub! You leave me no choice but to hunt you down then." Perhaps he could take a good swipe at her? Enough to make her too lame of a threat to the pride? After all, he wasn't one who enjoyed killing others.
Taking a determined step forward, Lia debated his options. It all depended on how the rogue would behave.

"I don't think so." Tikoto tossed her head flippantly, flashing a smile befitting her mental health. The laughter had barely disappeared from her voice before it bubbled up again, causing her to snicker. "Their full of protein and the initial ingreidients to a long life span. Antelopes are mothers, but you eat them. Why not a lioness?" Tikoto nodded with another fit of laughter. How silly was this cub? She laughed at his naive words, and laughed more at the way his fur bristled as she spoke them. He was almost too noble for her to mess with. Almost.
"You? Harm me?" Tikoto grinned and slipped her maw to the ground. She gave her cheek a rub on the dirt, never breaking eye contact with him as she rolled onto her back, paws laid up lamely over her chest. "Go for it then. Personally, I would strike here." She pointed to her heart and batted her eyelashes sweetly up at him. "But, by chance, may I know your name? I'd like to be able to curse someone in the after life."

The male had to hold back the urge to spit upon the ground. This females logic was way twisted beyond any other he had come across. Sure he had heard of cruel and barbaric prides though, so to come across a lone psychotic shouldn't be that surprising. "You're correct about the benefit of a good meal. But antelope mothers and mothers to be are too separate things. It is near sacred to respect one while their stomach is swollen with lives. Anything after that, however, are victims of nature as well."
As much as he hated it, he knew the other was right about how easily and logical it was to take down a good meal. How often it sadly did happen in the wilderness. But to openly hunt them down with such intent of massacre? Ludicrous.
Muzzle frowned as the lioness displayed her own corrupt nature, sprawling herself to the mention of violence. Lia growled as he stepped forward and made a wide circle about the other. Was this all just a game to her? Then he stopped, while tilting his head and absorbing her words. "You must have hit your head to be in such a way. It's almost a sadness to see you in such a state." Strike her heart? Could he bring himself to do so? Especially to an unguarded enemy? No, he couldn't. "The name is Li'annam, if you must know."

"Straight from birth, actually, but that holds no consequence to what I do today." She had litereally torn her way through through her mother's very body to crash onto the ground below month's before she was supposed to be born. That tended to happen, when your mother was the Goddess of Bones. No muscle, no organs; nothing but skin and a bit of power to hold life in.
Tikoto curled her body to the left. She looked up at the lion as he circled her and watched with barely blinking eyes. What had upset him so? She'd been under the impression that all cubs liked games. The lioness straightened out with a frown. "A sadness? Surely you don't mean that. There's nothing wrong with me." Tikoto purred, striking out at him playfully with a curled paw. "Li'annam." She popped the syllables off her tongue before laughing. "Ironic. You have such a strong, dark coat and your name sounds like a little girl."
If he wasn't going to play along she was just wasting her time. There were meals to be caught. She kicked one hindleg out into the air and rolled over onto her stomach.

"It seems to have every consequence." The pride lion snuffed to the other, unable to stand her twisted grinning. As odd as she was, this lioness was a focused hunter and threat; he could tell just by how she was tracking him quietly. He'd have to do something about this rogue disturbance.
Breath froze and lips snarled as the lioness swung a paw at him lazily. Dodging back, Lia' bristled his tail as he stomped a paw in warning. "You're wrong enough to not be welcome here." Ignoring the jibe at his name, the lion swiped at the rogue as she rolled to stand. "It's time for you to leave these lands. Any blood spilled here will demand your head as payment." After all, this pride was known for its warriors and their sense of justice. This strange female wouldn't last two footfalls within the lands before being hunted out.

Her orchid eyes roamed his body. In her bones she felt the fun drawing to a close. Tikoto chirped irritably as she rose up onto her haunches with her tail coiling up around her legs. She thought she was going to get something good out of this cub, but he was far to brissly for anything really worthwhile.
Tikoto licked her lips. When he reached to swipe her she snapped at his paw, a growl rumbling in the hollow's of her chest. "Li'annam." Slowly her anger ebbed away to a seductive coyness that insanity bred. "Why won't you play with me? Love me like the big boys and I'll leave. Cross my heart and hope to die." She made an 'x' over her chest with a jagged claw as she tilted her head up in challenge. True, the food was being guarded by babes, but the more useful they were the easily they would be to manipulate later.

Ears pinned back as the male growled himself to the female's swipe. Even with the claws so sharp, he could sense the power behind the attempt had been in tease. She was just messing with him, and they both knew it. Though his ears did fly forward in surprise to her next words. She had to be joking! His eyes narrowed as he tried to read her expression, to understand what game she was playing at. But between his own shock and the females twisted nature, he couldn't figure it out. Either way, if it kept the pride safe to play this game. "Fine then. If you leave this pride be for three moon falls, I'll grant you your game. Then you leave these lands. Got it?"

Tikoto's chest rumbled in semblence of a purr. Though what came out was anything, but. She padded softly over to him, this time circling him as she looked him over from top to bottom. Oh yes, he still had use in him yet and she was going to suck it right out of him. "Three moon falls is an awfully long time, but I think I can manage it." She leaned in to lick a scale on his back. It fed her, this need to see him broken and beaten before her with everything gone, but his life. Tikoto knew she wouldn't physically hurt him. Mentally was a totally different story.
She slithered beside him along the borderline where the thicket lay that she had made her bed in. With a last roaring cackle she looked back at her charge and disappeared.
