-:Fa'e Costume Design Shoppe updates:-[*o8/o8/o4*]Moved the shop to the Guild, where hopefully it will be seen better. and wierd... first o7/o7, then o8/o8! biggrin [*o7/o7/o4*]Shop is set up. Still need alot of things straightened out, but it's set up :O [*o7/o7/o4*]Lieeeeeeek OMG TESTER!-:Introduction:-Welcome, to the Fa'e Costume Design Shoppe! (FCDS) Here our many talented weavers (artists ^_~) sew costumes for the Fa'e Children by Anya!. This mini-shop is not open to the general public. Feel free to roleplay with us and chat, but unless you own a Fa'e child and are ordering for your fa'e child, please do not order from this shop. Almost all of our artists have their own shops where you can buy their art -- please go there, not here. You will probably find the links to these shops in the links section at the bottom of the page. Thank you!
More will probably be added to this post as our humble shop (cliché!) grows, so, yeah ^_^

-:How To Order:-
Ookay, Mr/Mrs/Ms Guardian, so you've decided you want a pretty picture of your fa'e all dressed up! Well, instead of normal mini-shops where you fill out an order form or something, this shop is highly roleplay-based, just like the fa'e themselves, so you roleplay entering the shop and looing through all the outfits and such. usually it will be better if you bring your fa'e child with you, so we can get the fittings and such, but if you are a repeat customer we will probably already have the measurements for your fa'e.
usually, one of our weavers will be around the shop to greet you and take your order -- remember act IC. The shop is full of different aisles and such for different age groups, in the way they are described in the following posts. After talking to one of the staff, your picture should arrive shortly and you should pick up the "outfit" at the shop.
The price for your outfit is free (this is subject to change if the artists want it too -- after all, it is *their* time that is being spent.) the first time, but after the first time you have to start paying depending on the complexity of the outfit (even though each outfit has the same base, we do have to adjust each one for different fa'e, and if you prefer a different color or a ruffle to be added/removed, etc, you can say so ^_^).
Here is a description of the shop to aid your roleplaying -- each aisle is described within its post, but this describes the shop in general -- (I hope to get a pixelated version of this or something ^^) :
As you walk in, a miniature bell chimes, alerting whatever members of staff are in the shop at the time. The shop is rather homey, and all corners and most of the space is crammed with toys and armchairs and there is even a couch in the far left corner. To the right of the entrance door is a wooden desk with paper and pencils filled with new ideas for costumes and sketches of what future costumes will loo like. The shop is large, but has the appearance of being small and snug because of all the furniture and toys lying around the place -- it needs to be tidied up, but then it would lose some of it's fun.
The walls are painted a creamy sort of off-white, mixed with blue. There is a carpet, but it has worn thin. It is a sort of deep red, almost brown color. At the back of the shops there are three doors -- the one on the left leads into the girl's dressing room and restroom; the one on the right leads into the boy's dressing room and restroom, and the one in the middle leads to the "staff only" room, where most of the costumes are sewed.
(I tried my best, I hope that's sufficient ^^)

-:Aisle One -- Infant/Toddler:-
This aisle is fun! More toys than ever seem to be crammed everywhere possible among the desks that most of the clothes are layed out on (what fun would shelves be?), especially soft ones and ABC blocks and books and other such baby-toys. ^_^ The cloths and outfits can easily be pulled down, so the youngsters can admire them and choose which one they want. Here are the cloths in in this aisle so far:
(no picture yet)-Swim Diaper (unisex) (no pic yet)-Superhero Cape (unisex) (no pic yet)-Ballerina Outfit (Female ... I'd like to see a male in one, though XD -bricked-) (no pic yet)-Trousers (unisex)
There aren't many yet, but more will be added as new ideas come ^_^

-:Aisle Two -- Kid:-
There are a few toddler-esque things here, such as a rocking horse and baby books, but besides that there are toys for a more mature mind. A radio is under one of the shelves (yes, that's what these clothes are hanging from ^_^) that operates sort of like a jukebox. No rap or heavy metal songs though, mostly soft music and country music.
(No pic yet)-Farmer outfit, complete with straw hat. (trousers, red/plaid shirt) (unisex) (no pic yet)-Astronaut outfit (unisex) (no pic yet)-Ballerina outfit (female) (no pic yet)-Princess outfit (dress, gloves, jewelry, etc) (female) (no pic yet)-Prince outfit (Male) (no pic yet)-Knight Outfit (Male) (no pic yet)-Magician/Wizard (Male) (no pic yet)-Witch Outfit (female)
More are coming soon, I'm sorry these are so cheesy, I'm out of ideas and need heeeelp!

-:Aisle 3 -- Teen:-
There are barely any toys now, a few books are perched on the shelves, and there are a lot of arm chairs around. There are no more kidd-ish "costumes". Now there are just clothes.
(No pic yet)-Leather Jacket (unisex) (no pic yet)-His Clothes (huge shirt & boy's boxers) (female) (no pic yet)-Turtleneck Sweater (unisex) (no pic yet)-Summer fun! (dirty, scruffy shorts & t-shirt) (unisex) (no pic yet)-Swim shorts (male) (no pic yet)-One piece swim suit (female) (no pic yet)-Bikini/Two Piece swim suit (female)
Yes, I know, too many female items. Sorry >_<

-:Aisle 5 -- Holiday Outfits:-
This aisle is so jumbled, it's just plain messy. Seems like the staff was trying to fit Christmas ornaments, 4th of July, Easter, Hannakuh, Passover, and Halloween decorations all into one small aisle. And it didn't work ^_~ There is barely any space for the numerous outfits that are practically bursting out of the shelves. e_e;
Sooo many costumes... they'll be added ASAP, or when the holiday comes up! @_@

-:Aisle 6 -- Accesories:-
Glass cabinets filled with all sorts of stuff. Keep youngsters away, that glass is fragile! These can go with basically any outfit, no extra charge ^_^
-Emo Glasses (not for infant-toddler)
-Gold/Silver Necklace (not for infant-toddler) (silver=female) (gold=unisex)
-Hair curls and ribbons and hair stuff XD (pretty much a custom hairdo...) (unisex)
There are soooo many more I can list, but if I did, it would go on forever... ^_^; don't fear there *are* more coming! Like earrings, lipstick, etc

-:Custom Outfit:-
This isn't really an aisle, but just a corner filled with arm chairs. If you ever happen to catch a staff member and you want to talk about a custom outfit for your fa'e, this is a comfortable place to chat.
Custom outfits actually *do* cost money -- first time customer or not. Because we have to work extra hard on them. There's a difference between a total custom, and asking for a color change or a little nick nack on a regular outfit. With a custom, you choose everything about the costume -- not just whether or not it has a white trimming around the edges.
More coming soon.

-:Meet The Staff:-The FCDS is a group effort of many great artists, most of whom lurk the fa'e board day and night, and here is your chance to meet everyone, and get to now them -- roleplay-wise and other. Galazios[color=white] All about MEEEE ^_^Nickname/Roleplay name: Gazzy Strong Points In Art: Bodies, heads, poses... 'specially hands and feet. And proportions, though I can't do chibis =D Shading with pencils. Pencils. Coloring in with watercolors (on the computer) Weak Points In Art: Eyes, clothing (especially wrinkles >O ), making a disproportionate figure, perspective. Personality OOC: IN. SANE. Totally off-the-walls, and hard to calm down. Constantly making rude/obscene comments when watching roleplays, but deep down I know there's a streak of wisdom and philosophy, that I'll discover as I mature, because sometimes when I'm clear-minded, I find that streak... Personality IC: Always confused, unsure to the zillionth degree, irresponsible and lazy, but still tries hard to please. just wants to fit in, and tries to mimic other, well-respected people to achieve such means. Which usually doesn't work. But still, very good at warming up to people, even if they can't warm up to her. Random: Gazzy started stalking the Fa'e HQ ever since Hoshi was a star. Wh00t. XD And... More Randomness: Gazzy owns an evil-keyboard-from-hell. And she got a new one. And it's still evil. Draconayzia All about Draconayzia Nickname/Roleplay name: Drac Strong Points In Art: Coloring. Likes to draw but it takes awhile, can do basic pencil sketches fast, takes delight in detail when time allows. Weak Points In Art: Loose clothing, hands. Personality OOC: Driven, hard worker in RL. I'm one of those people everyone else seems to come to when their car won't start. Proudly "Ms Fixit" and love working in my art studio. Around my favorite threads I love helping my friends out and meeting new people. Personality IC: Usually on top of things, but tends to stick to animal forms. They're easier to deal with than human ones at times, especially fond of fox form. Happy "living plushie" for some of the younger fa'e and houses a few of the teen fa'e at her home. Loves to mess around with the fa'e, particularly Lana, Taka, Kia, and Anen as they seem to be on when I am. Random: Been around the fa'e thread since mid-February, but didn't make myself known until about mid-March. (Kia and taka were still kids and Anen was just born) Interesting fact: Taka was the first fa'e I ever met. Chirigami Nickname/Roleplay name: Chirigami, Chiri for short. Strong Points In Art: Um, puffs, chibi, poses *when I'm in the mood*, faces and bodies. Oh, and apparently coloring. Photoshop skillz, yo! Weak Points In Art: lack of self confidence, hands and sometimes feet. Perspective at times. Shading at times [I've gotten better~] Personality OOC: TV and the internet ate my brain, or whats left of it. Actually rather shy upfront, but when you get to know me.. you'll realize I'm rather odd. I like gore, I like violence and I hate romantic crap. I love '8o's movies and... nachoes and rice.. yessum! Oh, and I'm really lazy and I procrastinate... ninja Personality IC: Seems to have the energy of a five year old on sugar, and thinks she's a ninja. She has a few ameba left in her brain.. well, that or a dead hamster or something. She's just odd, and likes to gnaw on people at times. Friendly too.. and almost as lazy as her OOC counterpart. Random: all your Gaara are belong to me domokun And... More Randomness: ducttape! It's like the force, it has a lightside and a darkside .. and holds the universe together. Epoxy! Liquid Ducttape = liquid Force domokun Koko-Tokei This Beat is for Tha STREETS! Nickname/Roleplay Name: Koko A. Tokei, but you can call me Koko. Strong Points In Art: Heads, eyes, hands (sort of), shading (somewhat), hair. XD Weak Points In Art: Feet, folds in clothing, males (XDD), full body artses. Personality OOC: Quiet, book-smart, and shy. Very anti-social around nearly everyone. Forgets things easily. Television, the internet and video games have consumed my mind. In short, Koko has no life outside the 'net. Personality IC: Insane, very cheerful, but good at hiding it. :O Also very stupid, but can be smart sometimes. Lazy, and will only do something if it: a) involves food, music or more food, b) deals with art, or c) involves friends and family. Has a short attention span. Likes speaking in third person. Always on constant sugar-high. :3 Random: "Random? Koko knows someone named Random. Yes, Koko does! Oh, oh! There's a candy store, fwee! Let's go! X3" And More Randomness: "Koko likes her stockings. They're pretty. No one disses Koko's stockings, son." Lady_Eowyn Nickname/Roleplay name: Eowyn Strong Points In Art: Clothing , Coloring , Oekaki , Chibi's , Details-(I'm no good at atonamy or poses , but if you handed me somthing to work off of i could do a preat good job.) Weak Points In Art: Atonamy, Proportion , Hands/Feet , And somtimes eyes. Personality OOC: I suffer from major mood swings , one minute im hyper and wacky , the next im in hysterics about how pethetic my life is. But all's well im usally happy hyper and creative.....wich is not allways a good thing, aperantly i get distructive when im hyper *wonders how she can be creative and distructive at the same time.* .... Personality IC: IC Eowyn is the, kind , shy ,wallflower type...she wasn't allways that way....it was just somthing that happened over the years. Somtimes her more outgoing side shows up.....but thats usally when things start to go wrong. Random: I'm adicted to chai tea and any form of bread. And... More Randomness: I only started stalking the fae thread mid june, but expect to hang around a -long- -long- while.

Gazzy stands in the doorway of the shop, glancing around critically. It still smells of wet paint, and it's a little messy -- but it looks good overall. She smiles slightly and walks in.
