A blond girl was walking in the streets, not as Sailor Flora patrolling the city like she should because it was her duty to do so, but as Eve Summers, bundled up in a coat and long pants, meandering about while attempting to do her Christmas shopping.
Yes, attempting.
She didn't really know what to buy this year; it was as if her mind had hit a shopping rut. She didn't know what to get her parents, what to get her uncle, her aunt, what to get Rea, Charys, Elzo, Marlo and everyone else she knew. For some reason, as she gazed into shop windows trying to find something that would fit someone that was on the list, she just couldn't find it. She wanted things to be perfect for Christmas, wanted the gifts to be perfect. This year had been crazy enough with the senshi business. All she wanted was for Christmas to be normal.
And so, sighing, she continued to walk the streets alone while puzzling over what to buy.

The holiday season was a true delight. Nobody ever looked up, for fear of catching the eye of a hawker in the local shops, or the many people begging for donations to help the poor, defenseless poor. It was bad enough the hobos went inside during the winter! They rarely put up a fight when they were drunk, and if you had a quota to fill, they were easy starseed prey.
It was to the point to where Lieutenant Linarite could stride across the lower rooftops, in broad daylight, and there was not even a finger pointed in her direction. However, that was about to change. A pale blond head wove through the slushy, bumbling crowd, drawing her like a beacon. With a smirk, Lina launched herself from the rooftop, and as she fell, called her hammer to her hand.
As her boots touched the pavement, she threw all her weight into slamming the ridiculous weapon straight to the ground. "SQUEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKEE~" It reverberated over the nose of the street, and suddenly, everything flinched and was silent.
"Thank you, thank you very much."

.. What was that noise? Oh god, it was quite the racket. Serandite's hands immediately covered her ears, a scowl crossing her face at that blasted racket. Go figure, holiday seasons encouraged such behavior. But she didn't think there was anything humanely loud enough to make such a noise.
Serandite had been sitting on a rooftop, her eyes had nearly closed to enter a peaceful nap against a set of railings on a rooftop. She wouldn't have noticed anyone approaching her, much less anyone else on the rooftops, until that bothersome noise rang through the street, causing Serandite to jump up.
Why she was sleeping there.. Well, her bunny doll made a very nice pillow (a cute one too!) and leaping onto the rooftop was one of the ways to escape from the noisy holiday crowds. She didn't have to work all the time. She looked down to see a hilariously baffling sight. .. That bright pink and yellow hammer.. was quite the view. Serandite wondered where they produced such massively large hammers. Probably in some unknown toy store. Looking down upon the wielder, Serandite was quite surprised at her gray uniform. .. Was she.. part of the negaverse? Serandite didn't know what to think nowdays since Tanzanite and Tobernite hadn't been in the most.. obvious uniforms.
She leapt down to address the other female. "Thank you for what? Don't tell me, you're happy that you've just deafened an entire street in a single blow. Ruined my nap? Or is there some unknown show here that I don't know about?" Serandite asked, her pink heeled feet landed gently on the ground, flipping her hair flippantly to the side.
...Oh god, that hammer was even bigger up close.

First, there was that loud squeak. And then, after a moment of silence as the crowd appraised their attack, there were now screams coming from all around her and Eve turned, expecting the worst.
Every time. Every single time she was out and trying to have a normal shopping trip, the Negaverse had to come in and ruin it. Eve was already as displeased as it was, but seeing not one, but two (and one that she recognized) Negaverse lieutenants trying to ruin the holiday cheer, she frowned.
And then she turned and ran.
As she did so, Eve managed to stick a hand inside her bag and extract her cell phone. She had to call someone for back up. Speed dial...let's see, 1 was her mother, 2 was directly to her home, 3 was to her father, 4 was Rea...yes! She pressed that button, and then called her roommate, holding her phone to her ear as she shoved through the crowd to find a place to transform. "Hey, it's me." She said, as soon as Rea picked up, not giving the other a chance to say anything. "There's trouble down at the main shopping district, Unicorn. Two of them. Come pick me up as fast as you can?" She hoped that was vague to anyone who would be listening, yet clear enough to Rea. She didn't have time to bother about that though; she snapped her phone shut and managed to enter a public restroom.
Luckily, everyone had already fled and Flora had no qualms about transforming without ducking into a cubicle. There were two of them. Two of them could cause a lot of trouble. It was silly to even change into her sailor scout form when she was terribly weak at this time of the year.
But people could get hurt. And Flora did not want that to happen.
She gritted her teeth and ran out, bracing herself for the blast of cold air she knew would hit her once she left the restroom. "Hey!" She yelled at the Negaverse lieutenants, hoping to catch both their attentions. "Serandite! Weren't you up for a one-on-one? I thought you seemed to disapprove of uneven fights!"

Rea had been studying in their dorm when her phone had rang, the peppy ringtone letting her know it was her roommate. Flicking it open, she placed it to her ear, knowing her blonde friend would be the one to speak first. They had an unspoken understanding between them. But while the fact that her roommate had spoken up first didn't surprise her, the tone of voice she used to, along with the (usually annoying) code word 'Unicorn' (damn Charys). Eve's urgency was met by a few seconds silence before she spoke up, her expression set in a hard, determined expression.
"I'm on my way."
She didn't need for Eve to tell her what was wrong. She already knew. Clicking her cellphone shut, Rea was already on the move, grabbing her henshin pen and locking their dorm room from the inside, lifting the pen high as she transformed. Eve had sounded troubled and out of breath. It made her more than a little worried. Pushing open the window, she jumped from their room to the ground below, kicking off of the grass towards the shopping district.
She'd better be ok, or Pegasus was going to punch their brains out.

Serandite? Was that who this was? Linarite tilted her head in contemplation of the child-like lieutenant in front of her. "What, is the General King recruiting down at the elementary school these days? Naptime is for kids, and besides. This is fun." It was only after this statement was delivered with a shitfaced grin that Lina turned to the one who had called out to the younger girl. Her eyes dimmed a bit, and the bluenette sighed heavily.
"Can't go anywhere without some complication in the form of you damn senshi." Already, fiery eyes were assessing the girl in front of her. Delicately boned, well, weren't they all. The pastels and flowers on her costume definitely suggested some sort of plant-based attack. Well, it couldn't be too bad. The worst, she'd just grow a monster tree out of the ground or something.
Twirling the hammer, wide grin still on her face, Lina was exhilarated. She hadn't had a good fight in a long while, especially after the Barren Pines fiasco. Killing dumb kids was nothing compared to the rush of taking out a senshi! "To be honest, honeybunch, you should probably worry more about me than her."

Annoyance ticked inside of Serandite at Linarite's comment. Although the naptime comment was probably quite appropriate. "Assuming would be your downfall if we weren't on the same side." Serandite phrased the reply in an calm but strained manner, obviously restraining to hold some snappish comment at the other. Why did people have to call her a child? She was in high school now and while it was vastly amusing at how much people assumed she was younger, the amusement found in it had it's limits. besides, she wasn't in elementary. Unless Serandite had a younger appearance than she thought.
She swirled around in a happy manner, a smile forming upon her lips. Ooh, it was Sailor Flora! Meeting her again was a stroke of luck. Out of all the senshi-- Well, she didn't know how much senshi resided in Destiny city though. Before she could answer Flora's statement, Linarite spoke before Serandite did. The comment could be taken multiple ways. But to Serandite, it sounded as if this strange lieutenant thought that Serandite wasn't up to the task of taking down a senshi.
"Pft. Who does she have to fear from a negaverse with a ridiculous giant plastic hammer? Besides, didn't you hear, you aren't her designated opponent. Unless you wish to turn this into a battle of first-come, first-serve. Even then I would still get first priority though." Serandite said in a snobbish manner, calling her plush bunny to one hand. Sure, she couldn't do a fancy twirl with it like Linarite did but she could certainly twirl with Loppy when it was in it's large form. Two could play at that twirling game.

"Can't go anywhere without some complication in the form of you damn Negaverse and your pet monsters." She shot back, glaring at the bluenette while trying not to shiver and show any form of weakness. The squeaky hammer looked laughable, but it was huge, and the other obviously knew how to wield it. "Unless you guys don't give a damn about Christmas shopping, wait, no, you would probably want to destroy the whole holiday."
"I don't know." She said. "I mean, both of you play with huge oversized toys. And I wasn't ready for such a tea party." Blue eyes glanced between the blue-haired lieutenant wielding the hammer and the other holding the bunny. Flora knew very well what Serandite could do, but on the other hand, Serandite too knew very well what Flora could do. Were they really going to fight over who got to battle her first? Or would they try to attack her together? Flora got ready to either bolt or distract them with her meager pollen attack if they did.

Rolling her eyes theatrically, Lina leaned slung her hammer over her shoulder, and went to lean against the nearest wall. By now, most of the crowd had cleared, sensing trouble. It was, however, a clearly defensible position. Should this senshi choose to attack, she could easily duck behind a display or into the shop, thus dodging anything seriously painful.
Extending an arm in one sweeping motion, Linarite just grinned. "Well then, why don't you have your fun. It's the giving season and all, and I'm just feeling all sorts of jolly. Don't worry, if you need a little help, I'm right here." Arms folded, eyes closed, the total picture of repose.
If the kid wanted to fool around, more power to her! Lina'd just sweep up when it was all over.

"You're quite the generous comrade. I'll be sure to keep that in mind." Serandite didn't quite know who this negaverse lieutenant was but she had to wonder if there were limitless girls of beauty to be found in the negaverse. "I think I will go ahead and have my fun. " She stepped forward, giggling, looking forward to the prospect of the one-on-one fight with Flora. At her will, her bunny doll enlarged itself, 'popping' into it's large size. A small pat at the doll's large form next to her small one, Serandite directed her attention towards Flora.
"Tea party? Why, it'll be a fun one. I'd like extra milk and sugar in my tea!" She said, emphasizing the last portion as her doll's hand imitated her movements in an attempt to squash the spring senshi with a swipe of it's large paw. She didn't wait to see what had happened before landing another attack, her doll pounded furiously into the ground a few more times.
Giving Flora a chance to attack was a very bad move. One she didn't intend to let happen.

Wait, what, they weren't fighting together? Flora's lips twisted into a frown, wondering what in the world was the blunette planning. And who the heck was she anyway? She knew Serandite because the other had introduced herself before, but this girl didn't seem as concerned with doing that upon meeting a senshi.
The cold was starting to get to her and Flora shivered, feeling herself grow a little weak. She attempted to dodge the doll's attack, but it whacked right into her side and Flora rolled to the ground, panting slightly. God, one wouldn't have thought that, but a hit from a large bunny plushie did hurt. She didn't have time to rest however, and had to roll away to dodge the next attack directed right at her. It had been a lot easier when Pegasus was here and it wasn't so bloody cold. The senshi pondered on launching her attack but it was weaker than usual, and if she used it up; she didn't know if she would be able to do it again.
There was more pounding and Flora bit back a scream of fright, instead going "Flora Pollen Fever!" in her panic, attempting to direct it at where both the Negaverse lieutenants stood. If Serandite was observant, she would note that the cloud of pollen was much more sparse than before, and would disappear much faster.
With this hopefully acting as a distraction, Flora got up and ran. She was too focused on looking behind at whether the huge bunny would follow that she slipped and fell, twisting her right ankle in the process. "********." Flora rarely swore. She now did because she realized she was in a very bad predicament, with two Negaverse lieutenants possibly trying to kill her.

Well that was interesting. So the little toy wasn't so useless after all, but really, it was absolutely absurd! As the attack shot towards Linarite, she easily dodged it by crouching and rolling under the display. It was not as smooth as she'd like, but the bluenette was easily on her feet again, and smirking. Trying to run away, huh?
Bouncing the edge of her hammer off the nearest building, it was an interesting sound effect to the battle. "Squeakee~ Squeakee~" So it was unexpected when the lieutenant launched herself into the air over the back of the giant rabbit, hammer extended in another move similar to the one she'd employed earlier. If no variables changed, this arc and speed would crash her right down on the senshi's head!
As the girl descended, she called back over her shoulder. "Sorry there pinky, attacks change things. I think it's awful rude to try and attack an innocent lieutenant! I mean, I was only trying to kill her!"

As soon as Flora shouted her attack, Serandite ceased all movements and instead covered her face inside of her huge kimono sleeves quickly. She wasn't getting caught in that attack again if she could help it, the bunny ceased movement as well. She expected to be holding her breath for a good long while but the pollen quickly dissipated.
So that's how things flow-- Once you knew what Flora's attacks were, it wasn't hard to see that the senshi wasn't combat material. Trying to formulate a plan, assuming Flora could hatch that attack more than once, Serandite looked past the disappearing pollen to see Flora trip. Before she could take action, the blue-haired negaverse leaped in front of her, in an effort to attack Flora before Serandite could.
"Really now? Even if I agree with your logic, I still think it's awful rude to take away my opponent..! Ah-choo! " She leaped back from the pollen's range, starting to dash towards the side in a effort to better corner Flora if she escaped. The term.. 'kill.' The girl didn't mean it literally, Serandite assumed. As this point, Serandite had yet to understand the full gravity of starseeds. Besides, she wasn't about to launch an attack at Flora's backside, she was there to corner and take her starseed if she happened to escape from hammer girl's attack. Doubtable.

The word 'kill' ran through her blood like ice and Flora attempted to scramble up so she could escape from the two, but to no avail. Her hands slipped as pain shot through her ankle and she bit her lip in anguish. She was about to turn around to face her attacker to see their attacks, but the hammer crashed down on the back of her head and her face crashed into the asphalt, resulting in a broken nose. Now this really hurt and Flora attempted to roll away, shielding her nose with her palm, all while managing to give the bluenette a deathly glare.
"Don't you think I should at least know the name of the person who's trying to kill me?" She said, while her mind frantically searched for a way to get her out of this situation, or at least delay these two for as long as possible until Pegasus got here. Flora was pretty sure that if she tried her attack again, she would probably faint from the toll it took on her, and she was only going to use that as a last resort. So, what was left was to distract the two.

"Sorry bunnygirl, but it's only fair! After all, she attacked me, and I can't just stand aside. Besides, with the two of us, we can have her seed and have her in the grave in no time. Call it a Christmas bonus." Linarite's smile was thin and cruel, and she was more than ready to have this over with. It was the shining goal of every single Negaversian to obtain a senshi's seed, and it was getting to the point to where Lina didn't care how it happened, it just needed to happen!
Looking down at the whimpering, bleeding senshi, something dark blossomed happily inside the high schooler. It was almost a sick enjoyment of how pathetic she looked, beaten into the pavement and begging for any scrap of time before she died. Eyes flashing with triumph, Linarite loomed over her, snagging what looked to be a twisted ankle and squeezing.
"Linarite. And it seems like we're doing a bit more than trying, kid." Without taking her eyes off of Flora, the bluenette signaled to the girl in her kimono. "Come on. Take her seed, before this can get messed up. I'm not going to let this one slip through my fingers again!"
