No more than a week had passed since Nasrin, now known as Nidawi, had given her cubs names. She still kept them in her old den however. She and her sister had agreed that Nidawi should move to a den closer to Semira's so they could look after their cubs together. However Nidawi's current den was closer to the swamp's borders and since Achal would soon be coming to take the cubs she decided she would wait for him here. It also gave her some time alone with her children.

They were playing around her as she lay under a tree. She smiled as she watched them explore the new place she had brought them to. Every day she would teach them something new about spirits and their ways, and the ways of the Jini-misemi, wanting to leave a mark on them. But today she was content to simply watch them play, joining in when they climbed on her or played with her tail.

A lot had changed for the little green cub in the last week. Before his mother had taken them out, his world was the den and the only creatures it included were his siblings, his mother and the other black creature who came to visit often. Now he knew that it was a her and her name was Semira, his aunt. His world had suddenly became much bigger and now included much more creatures. Now he also knew there were such things as words and he also had a name - Viho. Actually everyone had a name and sometimes it was hard to remember all of them.

And Viho was very curious about his home and spent all of his time either exploring, under the watchful eye of his mother, or playing with his siblings. He had yet to make friends with any of the other cubs in the pride. But he was happy to be just with his family.

Achal moved forward with intent. Soon his family would me larger, soon her would have more cubs to look after and he was very excited for the moment he would meet them. He had followed the directions giving to him and had traveled for quite some time. He hoped the cubs were old enough to make the journey back, for her was certain he could only carry three at most.

He thought breifly of Tsu and Maua and wondered how they were fairing only with Mi'rage, Fayrus, and Jinan. Achal sighed loudly and looked up. It seemed he had finally reached the swamps, trees rising in the distanst, the wet earthy smell swimming through his nostrils. He did not think it was something he could get use to.

Achal gave a loud call to Nasrin, hoping she was close and would here him. He was trotting now, though he need not. Even at the distance he was now he would easily be spotted.

Nidawi chuckled as one of her little ones lost his footing and rolled off her. She reached with her muzzle and nuzzled him, making sure he was okay. She leaned back in her previous position just as she heard the familiar sound. 'Achal.' She answered back, letting him know she had heard him and where she was.

"Come on, children, there's someone you have to meet." She told them as she got up and dusted off her pelt. She had to look presentable. "Come here." She lead them a few paces away, where they could be spotted more easily. She had already seen Achal, it seemed that in a few moments he would reach them.

She took in a deep breath, a bit scared of what was to happen. She trusted Achal and was sure he would take good care of their children. But it was hard letting them go.

Atash sat a small distance away from his mother and frolicking siblings, not far enough to be lost, but enough that he could be sure he wouldn't accidentally be pulled into their games. Ever since the end of their period of silence, since obtaining their names, something had been happening to the young cub, something inexplicable. A soft hum stirred in the cove of his ears from time to time, causing his audits to twitch and swivel maddeningly with the effort to dislodge the noise. Over time the monotonous drone had started to form sounds, the sounds became voices and the voices whispers.

Whispers that filled his head even when no one was speaking to him or, worse yet, when he was completely alone. It left him feeling estranged and alone, particularly when the off putting sense of ill ease and eerie hiss of intangible strangers had grown relatively more common during periods of misfortune. Atash had trouble sleeping at night, his eyes dark and hollow from fitful nights of tossing and turning, yet he couldn't tell his mother. Wouldn't tell her. What if there was something wrong with him? She might abandon him.

Unfortunately, it seemed she was destined to do so anyway. His anxious eyes flicking around the strange new area at the edge of the pridelands. The red moon child's fur bristled along his spine as his pelt twitched over flinching muscles in silent distress and anxiety. Something bad was going to happen today. He could feel it in his bones. His gaze repeatedly drifting towards his mother as he tried to put together the pieces of the puzzle. Why were they here? So far from the safety of the center of the pride. So far from Nasrin's sister and her cubs. The rest of their family.

Despite how relaxed the rest of his family seemed Atashmeh Sayeh couldn't settle in.

And as his mother called to the strange lion while approaching, the small cub obediently edged forward in response to being beckoned though his garnet stare was critical and mistrusting.

(( So sorry..Babys make it hard to get on for rp. ))

Lililamuna had been silently musing to herself as she watched her siblings do this and that, a lack of sparkle in her eyes only added to the moment that she indeed was deep in thought.

So much had happened, she was trying to do her best to make sense of it all. But at the sound of her mother calling, she was quick to rise to her paws, shaking herself clean of anything that might have clung to her fur, she made her way over, pawing at one of her brothers lightly as she passed by, she hid behind her mothers leg.

A stranger in the distance caused her to keep quiet, peeking out just enough to watch the stranger come closer.

Achal moved forward more quickly hearing Nasrin call to him, but slowed when she came into his view. He closed the distance between them smiled brightly as he saw his three cubs, beautiful and healthy. He gently moved up to Nasrin, bumping heads with her lightly and nuzzling her. "They are beautiful," he whispered.

He moved back smiling, "It has been to long Nasrin. Are you well? I hope that you have had no hardships since we last met."

She looked around, making sure all the cubs were next to her and patiently waited for Achal. When he reached hem, she nuzzled him back with a smile. "They are indeed." She agreed with a nod and a warm wave washed over her at his words.

Giving a soft smile she relied: "I have been fine, we chose our new home well. There has been some trouble withing the pride, but it will be resolved soon, I'm sure." Tough she felt slightly relieved that her cubs would be away to a safer place, even if it hurt so much. And also a little selfish for keeping Viho with her, what if he got hurt by that crazy killer, whoever he or she was?

Stopping that train of thought she continued. "Everyone has been really nice. I've even received my new name." She didn't know if Achal knew anything about the Jini-msemi's traditions but she would explain if needed. "How about you? I hope you had an easy journey."

Viho followed his mother curiously, playfully swatting at back at his sister as she passed by him. When the strange male approached he moved closer to his mother's front leg and gave a look to his siblings that showed his confusion over the new arrival. Directing his gaze to the male again, he watched him with curiosity and slight suspicion. He kept quiet, certain that his mother would tell them who he was soon enough.

She tucked herself closer to her mothers leg before mewing softly at Viho, she was nervous around this new stranger, but felt like..she would be safe with him.

Her head peeked out a bit more, bright eyes sparkled curiously as she nuzzled her mothers leg before she uncurled herself from her mother, sniffing lightly she stepped lightly towards the unknown male, sniffing at his paws before looking up at him, tilting her head to the side.

Unlike Viho and Lila, Atash didn't cower under his mother, sitting a few paw steps to one side of her while he sized up the stranger that had entered the Swamplands. He smelled of a different pride. Of lands far distant. Of unfamiliar people. Sleek, dark ears quivered, finally pinning back against his head with uncertainty and dislike. The other smelled of change.

He listened without interruption as the adults spoke with fondness in their tone, all the while feeling a sense of dread clamp upon his stomach like a crocodile's bite. There was no doubt in his mind that the male was Atashmeh and his siblings father, given away by the strange landscape that painted itself upon his fur, different from the cub's own. It was his sire's fault he had been cursed by the fire moon then. The reason for why the spirits buzzed in his head, whispering paranoid thoughts.

Achal, matronly voice had given the other a name which garnet hued cub attempted to brush off with indifference, ducking his head and leaning away from his father's gaze each time it should fall upon him. Atash still hadn't yet fitted all the pieces of the puzzle together yet, but they were slowly coming together, filling in the holes.
Goodbye.

The departing term rang in his ears despite how they tightened against his skull as if to seal out the sounds. What was goodbye? He didn't understand, at least not yet.

Achal smiled when he heard the Nasrin had recieved a new name. He knew from his friend Gao, now Vastal'Faraman of the pride's name quest. "I have a friend in the swamps who traveled for a time with me during his name quest. So I know of the pride's ways."

He sat, "Will I be privy to this information. I do not think that it is proper for me to call you Nasrin, if you are no longer Narin." He chuckled slightly happy to in the company off his friend.

Achal looked down as he was sniffed and smiled down at the little girl, "Hello," he said softly. "My name is Achal." He bent down and gave her a small sniff, learning her scent before he nuzzled her lightly.

"Of course." She chuckled. "I didn't want to confuse you, that's all. But you are right, it's not proper. They call me Nidawi now."

She smiled softly as she watched father and daughter interact. She was happy that Lili showed curiosity, as opposed to Viho's shyness and Atash's indifference. It worried her, the way her dark-pelted son acted, but it would be out of her paws soon. She hoped he would grow more open with time.

"This is Lililamuna. And these are Atashmeh Sayeh and Viho. Children, this is your father. Won't you say hello?" She urged them with an encouraging smile.

Viho followed his sister's example and made a step forward, sniffling at Achal while he nuzzled his sister. There was something very faintly familiar about his scent, it reminded him of his sibling's and his own scent. Curious.

His eyes shot to his mother with surprise when she introduced him as their father. Now it made sense. It should have been obvious to him before, with the resemblance between Achal and Atash. He hadn't payed much attention to that though.

"Hi." He said quietly and gave a small smile, looking at the male with even more interest.

Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

The word was a droning whisper in his ears growing increasingly louder and louder until he could barely stand to sit still under the intensity of it. Atash was trying though, heaven help him he was trying to act normal but it wasn't exactly something that came easily to him. Tiny body tremoring with anxiety though the cub struggled to keep still, seizing his muscles and battling for control. Something bad is gonna happen. Something bad is gonna happen. Something bad--

NO! Nothing bad is going to happen. Stop it! Mom won't let anything bad happen!
Bristling and hissing under his breath at the strange voices that had become so familiar to him. Garnet hues reluctantly lifted towards the tall male, forcing himself to awkwardly join the family event despite himself. He didn't want to appear disobedient towards his mother and she had asked him ever so gently to greet this unwelcome stranger, the least he could do was abide. Even if the ominous mural painted cub didn't trust Achal.

Tentatively lifting himself onto all four paws he edged closer until he was within range of his father's touch if the other so chose to greet him in such a manner. Glaring gaze was pinned on his toes, refusing to meet kind-hearted gaze as he mumbled in brief. Hello.
