Just for fun I wanted to create a thread where we could pop up randomly created Magic weapons and see what we got. This really only applies to those that have the DM guide or at least can find tables 7-9 to 7-15 appropriate to the DM Guide.

This will also allow for random armor generation as well such as seen in tables 7-2 to 7-6 appropriate to the DM guide.

Created Thus Far:

Unholy Icy Shocking Burst Quarterstaff of Oozebane

Base Damage:
1d6/1d6
Attack Bonus:
+3 (+5 against Oozes)
Bonus Damage:
+3 Blunt (+5 Against Oozes)
+2d6 against all Oozes
+2d6 to all good aligned
+1d6 Cold if Frost is activated
+1d10 Cold on Critical
+1d6 Electricity if Shock is activated
+1d10 on Critical
Other notes:
-1 Level to any Good aligned being wielding the weapon, for as long as it is held, ending upon release.



Heavy Wooden Shield of Ghost Touch +3

Armor Class: +5
Hardness: +6
Armor HP: +30
Abilitites:
May block phantoms and other incorporeal damage as it if were a normal creature's attack.

This will determine the number of enchancements available for me to place on the weapon as seen in 7-9, in accordance to the Major list.

As I got a 15 that means I have +3 enhancements available.

Now for this next generation I will be determining the weapon type, or at least base type, meaning common, uncommon, or common ranged.

As I got a 57 that means I have a common weapon with +3 enhancement.

This generation will now determine the actual base weapon.

So with the 55 I have a +3 Quarterstaff of Major ___ with the ability slot left to fill.

Which will now at least for the first one be determined.

With that I get Unholy, which gives me the following, Unholy Quarterstaff +3 = equaling to Bonus Points meanign I may still roll for up to five more points worth.

This goes for the next ability.

With this 66 I gain upon the weapon Shocking Burst, thus creating Unholy Shocking Burst Quarterstaff +3 still leaving up to three spaces available for use.

So I roll again for another Ability.

This gives me Icy Burst which is stackable with the Shocking Burst by 3.5 rules, giving me an Unholy Icy Shocking Burst Quarterstaff +3 with one opening for another enhancement which I will select to be bane, so as not to deal with the elongated amount of throws it would take to produce the numbers that would grant me a skill that takes one slot.

So now I msut find out what creature sees this weapon as a bane, which is done using a table on page 224 of the DM guide with this roll.

So the 72 gives me Oozebane, creating a weapon with the following name, with the damage that follows there after.

Unholy Icy Shocking Burst Quarterstaff of Oozebane

Base Damage:
1d6/1d6

+3 Blunt (+5 Against Oozes)
+2d6 against all Oozes
+2d6 to all good aligned

+1d10 on Critical
Other notes:
-1 Level to any Good aligned being wielding the weapon, for as long as it is held, ending upon release.

This creates for a pretty mean weapon against a good aligned Ooze with the right elemental setup, as it is capable of two attacks of up to 7d6 x 2, 2d10, +5 x 2 from the weapon alone on a critical, not even accounting for the possibilities of weaknesses and your character's abilities, equaling a whopping potential for two attacks of 114 damage with your caharacter's bonuses stacking of course.

Too bad it costs about 200,600 gp, give or take a few depending on the store or the DM, because that seriously makes for a sweet weapon, if you are fighting oozes.

Well if no one minds, while I am awaiting the return of other players or at least uber to ascertain whether or not my character works, I am going to create another weapon.

This time I shall again go for the creation of a major class item, but this time for armor.

Okay so from that 80 I have an unknown piece of armor with at least one special ability according to table 7-2.

Lets see what happens with this one.

From that 3 I have a +3 shield with at least one special ability.

((I am sure some will not ethat I did not roll to aquie the ability slots the first time, that was because I jsut wanted to see how wierd a weapon I could create jsut filling up the ten +10 enchancement slots.))

This rollw will see if I get another ability.
