Shadowfoot kicked idly at a rock. She had thought that her first time patrolling solo would be fun, but it turned out that walking about the clan border by herself was actually rather boring. When she went with her mother or father, they always chatted about one thing or another, and even when her mother used the opportunity to review a lesson, at least it was something to occupy her mind. Very few rogues actually ever made their way far enough south to stumble into Shadowhill territory, so why did she have to patrol so often anyway? Shaking her head, she continued along to the next scent spot marking the border. Just as she was about to refresh the scent and then continue on again, the scent of a rogue nearby came to her on the wind. Well, this would be interesting! The male was a bit further along the border, and not quite to it yet, so she would probably be able to beat him there if she hurried. Picking up to a trotting gait, the heir to the Shadowhill clan prepared for her first diplomatic encounter.

Nightscythe hadn't planned on venturing so far into the hills. He wasn't much of an adventurer either and rarely took on journeys across the Plains. But there were stories circling around about the hills and their secrets and it had sparked his curiosity. Tough he was getting quite bored with the lack of any Saighneian. He was starting to think the stories were just that - stories and there wasn't anything to them. Just then his nose suddenly notified him that someone was here after all. After a few moments his ears confirmed it as he heard soft footfalls. When a Saigh female came into view he couldn't help but smile. So the trip wasn't a waste of time after all. "Hello there." He greeted with a slight inclination of his head, like a good gentleman.
