The world was growing cold and dark. A pant of air was a wispy cloud of vapor, leaves and grass crackled with morning frost. It was that awkward stage before the sparkling snow but after the autumn blaze, a dim dead time. Seelie hated the lull in the seasons. She didn't mind the cold so much, in fact, winter was her favorite season, but this greyness was overpowering. It was like everything was holding desperately on to that one last breath of air before dying for the season.

She was watching the wind blow by, and not much more. It was one of those days where nothing seemed to happen, and no one really felt like doing anything. She was no different. She was unmotivated to run, though she was sure that would warm her up. The cold had made her stiff, and it just seemed like too much effort to thaw those tired limbs. A weary snort. She was ready for snow, for the crisp sharp air, she was ready to escape from this cold soggy mist. But it was everywhere. Even home, where she could cuddle with her family, it was still just cold and damp and grey.

Richmon trudged through the stifling morning air, forgoing his usual first flight of the day. It was as though the weather had added a weight to his back, and though he knew he could float in these conditions with ease, he had not the energy to do so. Richmon was beginning to believe that the world it's self was dieing. He knew, in the End, the world would succumb to death and all in it would be judged, he had known this since the Beginning - but he had not expected it to be so soon or so.... Cold. A soft sigh escaped his lips, and as it did so a soft burst of frozen breath accompanied it. Odd... He had sighed; so why did the sound of a snort reach his ears?

Ah... yes. Richmon had to remind himself that there were others in this world from time to time - one of said moments being now. It had not occurred to him when he first herd the sound that there may be another soul near by. He ruffled his wings slightly, debating on the customs of the mortals he had met thus far. The least rude, and most widely accepted would be to find the owner of the snort, to greet them, and (as most did) offer company on this dreary morning. While Richmon could not promise the later of the three, he could at least attempt the first two. "Hello?" He called out, both a greeting and an attempt to get the other being to speak once more, to better find his own bearings and in the end find the other being.

Seelie jumped, startled out of her reverie by an unexpected greeting. For a moment she thought it was Ireland, she couldn't imagine who else might be out looking for her in the grey (The thought that whoever it was was not, in fact, looking for her never crossed her mind). With ears pricked at attention she wheeled around, straining to hear where the call had came from through the mist. The more she dwelled on the voice the less familiar it became, and she was fairly certain it belonged to no relative of hers. She whinnied loudly, "Hello?? Who's there?"

Her petite frame was too small to see over some of the greater shrubs in the immediate vicinity, and suddenly inspired by the prospect of company, she weaved her way into a more open area. No one was here! She wondered if she was losing her mind, she could have sworn she heard a voice. She whinnied again, and was again silent, waiting for a call in return.

A soft shadow move off to his right, followed by the same voice and a whinny. The shadow was small and moved quicker than Richmon had expected. He had to wheel around to keep it in sight and followed it until it stopped ahead of him. As he drew closer he could see a small unicorn female, but... she had wings? He had never seen wings like hers before, vibrant and like those of a butterfly. They were interesting to say the least; he'd have to find out what type they were from her eventually. For now he'd answer her question. "Hello." Richmon said as he came up beside the mare, speaking a moment before he reached her so not to startle her. "As for who is here, I know of only myself. My name is Richmon."

With the second response Seelie was filled with relief, she was still in possession of all her faculties. At least in regards to phantom voices. When she finally could see the speaker she brightened up considerably, almost as if she recognized him, though obviously she didn't. Ever her father's daughter she placed a hoof forward forward in greeting, bowing her head deep between her legs. "A pleasure, Richmon," She replied as she brought her head back up to look at him.

She laughed, a little tinkling sound, and rearing on her hind two legs, spun herself in a little circle. "Am I a phantom then?" She took a sidestep to inspect him and grinned, broadly, "Am I the will'o'the'wisp come to whisk you away into the mist!"
For all he knew, she was. She was certainly waifish enough. For the sake of her own amusement, or perhaps forethought was just quickly replaced with other things, she neglected to indulge her own name, leaving herself branded only as a specter on this dreary day.
