I was thinking about a signature drawing contest. I've wanted a decent drawing of my fursona for a while now, but don't know many artists. However, our art section is pretty strong so maybe we could hold a contest? I would give the winner 8000-10000 gaia gold, depending on how much I liked it. What do you guys think?

an art contest is something i was thinking of... maybe we could make it a 2 or 3 part contest? Art/Writing/ ?
with writing we could have a story contest (200-1000 words) about/involving furries/animals?
winner of each would gain 8000-10000 gold as you suggested?

Sounds cool to me. Does that mean you'd rather I not do the art one as a sig drawing for my fursona. No hard feelings either way, just asking. And do we have enough in the guild account to just throw that much gold out, or do we maybe want to lower it to around 5-6thousand gold if were doing three? Again, just asking

The gold in the guild account is untouchable (gaia has it set up so nobody can access it) so we would have to wait until the guild mule got some gold, so it might be a few weeks until contests are up and running... The art/drawing contest should be generalized, so people who make art other than characters will be able to compete equally.
Still no idea for the 3rd part of the contest however...

Im liking the idea of an avi contest, with maybe a theme for each day of it? We could do Cosplay, Original Character, newb items, and rich items. Make it a 4 day contest.

Its possible, but then people may get knowcked out, even if there a great artist because they are limited in the gold amount they have. Thats not fair to them. And likewise, someone whos just ok but has huge money supplies could edge out a better artist. I think it could work, but I agree with sketchos idea of the one whos avi represents their fursona best. Have everyone post a profile of their fursona before we start, then we'll vote on whos best matches. What do you think?

hm.. an idea of an art contest seems fun, i'm an anthro writer/artist to bad my stry is more a novel than a short one XD i don't like the idea of an avi contest, mainly cause i'm satisfied with the way i look and i donn't need REALLY EXENSIVE THINGS xD  taht's mah fursona :3 he's a vampire-fruit bat hybrid it's a bit poorly drawnbt i' proud ofit XD
