Randomly every day there is a rock that when you hit it with either the shovel (recommended) or the axe, it releases money, every time you hit it, the amount it shoots out double.

That's because you probably waited too long before you hit it again.
I reccomend digging two holes behind you before you start hitting rocks. If money pops out, then the pressure won't bounce you back while you're bumping.

to make yourself get more money out of a rock is to Dig 3 way holes around you... well, look at mini pic below.
