FizGig woke Lemona by dropping a pear on hear snout.

She opened here eyes to the big pink eyes looking into hers. "Ok I get up"

She was thankful to have breakfast delivered and nudged FizGig in approval, he purred and climbed onto her back.

There was a thin sheet of frost on the ground. It was the first frost of the year and this meant that she would have to look for shelter for the coming winter. She was especially fond of winter, it was cold and food was harder to find, plus the snow made it more difficult to run freely. She also stood out more in the blanket of white.

Awhile had passed since she had seen Nemesis and Odin, but she started to yearn for the company and thought about how nice it would be to have such a charming stallion protect her in the coming winter.

She finished eating her pear, turned to see FizGig already fast asleep on her back.

She got up and contemplated if she should head to a completely new area.

Odin did not like the cold. For one, it wasn't nearly as comfortable as the nice warmth of spring and summer, with the slight breeze that often accompanied the heat. In that weather, he could stretch out and relax, let the warmth soak in and allow him to move around as much as he pleased. Grass was plentiful, birds sang, and the wind was so friendly, just playing with his mane and feathers as he stood and enjoyed it. Winter, on the other hand, was not nearly as pleasant. It was cold and chilly, with either fierce, freezing winds that blew his mane into his face, or no wind at all. Grass was hard to find, and there was no birdsong either. To top it all off, his usually sleek form was marred by a thicker coat. Yes, it kept him warmer, and yes, he still looked handsome, but he still did not like it. Made him look fatter than he was.

But anyways. He strode through the frosted forest, his tail lashing slightly and mane flat against his golden neck. The beads on his hind legs jingled slightly with each step, though otherwise were silent. His lavender eyes looked ahead of him as he walked, his breath coming out in clouds. It was after rounding a particularly dense group of trees and brush that he saw her. He couldn't believe his eyes. Again? He would never have thought of seeing her again, after that one time. Oh, he had wanted to see her, but never thought he could have. But still, here she was! "Lemona?" he asked softly, his head turning slightly to the side and stretching out. He took a few more steps closer and sidled up to her somewhat, unconsciously wanting to keep her warm. "I didn't think I'd see you again. It's been a long time, hasn't it?"

Lemona's eyes looked up surprised at the feathered stallion so dark and handsome. Was that really him. It was like her wish had come true.

She was so excited to see him that she rushed up to him and nuzzled his mane. "Odin! Hello" a childlike glee consumed her. "Yes, has been long. Good to see you. How you been?" Her speech had managed to become a little more pronounced since the last time she saw him and she had become a little more confident at being around other kirin.

She blushed a little, embarrased that she might have come on too strongly.

Odin smiled as Lemona nosed through his ebony mane, his lavender eyes watching her every move. As she spoke, his ears pricked; my, she had gotten better at speech! When he'd first met her, she had been a shy kirin with a speaking problem. Now she was much better; yes, she wasn't the most eloquent yet, but that would likely come in time. The improvement was enough, now. "I've been fine; well, as fine as one can be in winter. Stupid cold." At her blush, he nudged her muzzle with his in an encouraging way. "Come now, don't blush. you've improved! The last time I saw you, you were so shy; it's wonderful to see you like this! How did you do it? Practice, I suppose?" His words were not meant in a mean way at all; he kept a smile on his maw as a sign of his good-naturedness.
