He should have listened. Sitting here in a small steel cage was proof of that. He should not have gone off on his own.
The small leopon cub sat in the cold iron bared cage in the back of a poachers truck. He really should have listened to his mom, thats all he could think right now. Those two legged standing things didn't seem like they were dangerous but now he was sitting and swaying side to side in the back of some odd contraption.
Honestly , it was terrifying, but Nayavu wasn't about to break down and cry for help in front of the other caged creatures.
And then , thump, he was in the air one second and on the ground one. His cage landed upside down and was not a pleasant drop. It seemed the truck had hit a rather large ditch that knocked his cage out. Now he was laying upside down and hurting. Now it was safe to whine for help.
"Owwww... " Was all he could muster.

The stripped cheetah was in the zone. His eyes dead set on his prey, a small gazelle. Perfect for his lunch...only a few more feet. He watched for the female's head to go down as he lowered himself to the ground and inched forward. Stop. She was looking for him, she knew something was up but didn't know what. She bleated and got the assurance from the others he took another creep forward...and thats when his hunt ended.
The sound of a clang and some form of cub crying out made him lift his head ever so slightly and they were off. He tried to catch up but he was just that far away. He cursed himself as he wandered off to where the noise came from. It was some hybrid cub in a cage. He blinked aimlessly as he circled the cage.
"How the hell did you get in there?" he rumbled still angry he missed out on his dinner. He hadn't seen a contraption like that before. His cool blue eyes watched the thing as he could scent humans on it which made him want to put his tail between his legs and go the other way.

The cub swallowed his cries when he saw strange paws circling his cage. They were small and dainty, not paws of a leopard or a lion. Nayavu relaxed a little. Those two legged things had strange things over their paws, so it wasn't a two legged thing.
"Why would I want to be in this ... thing....Get me out of here! " His tone was a little on the demanding side. The leopons tail lashed about as he started to become a little more aware of his surroundings.
"Hurry, those two leggers might come back," He looked around and pawed at the bars. The cub did not want to be around if those creatures came back. They hadn't been the kindest of handlers. All and all, the whole thing was terrifying.
