 Dysis had recently finished catching up with one of her old teachers in Ryuten. They had so many things to discuss in such a short time that they planned to meat again soon to continue their talk. After all Dysis needed to get back to D'ob soon to check up on her sister. Stars only know what trouble the silly mare had gotten herself into. Hopefully it wouldn't be too big of a mess and Dysis would be able to clear it up soon enough. Since she departed from her meeting with her teacher she had travelled to Yisi, another beautiful area that she loved to explore. It was so different here than in her normal stomping grounds of D'ob. Instead of meadows as far as the eye could see, Yisi was more forested and dotted with so many lakes, ponds and a few bogs as well. She walked along slowly, not really wanting to leave this place yet. There were so many interesting things to see, but she knew she would be back soon enough and that made leaving all the easier.

 Starlite was rather enjoying her stroll among the trees as the early morning light filtered through the branches to cast long shadows on the ground and dapple her hide with shadows from the leaves, the birds were chirping and the sun was shining and all in all Starlite thought it was a fine day. So far at least...she reminded herself the last few times she'd thought the day had been going well she'd ended up in a bog and met a surly future queen. Today she hoped would turn out much better.
As she walked through the trees a flicker of color caught her eyes and the Jala mare altered her path to go an investigate, the source of this color turned out to be a rather brightly hued Bae - and despite thier relative commonality throughout urin Starlite hadn't had many opportunities to speak with Baes. Well now as the time to change that she supposed.
"Why Hello there!" she called out in a friendly voice as she made her way towards the bright mare.

Dysis' head snapped around to see who had called out to her. Her eyes fell upon an interestingly colored Jala mare. With a white body that seemed to shine and a rainbow coloring in her mane, tail and wings she was quite a sight. And she seemed friendly as well.
"Good morning." She replied and moved towards the other mare. Well at least she had time for a friendly conversation before continuing on her way to meet with her sister. "And how are you on this lovely day?"

Well this mare certainly seemed friendlier then the last one she'd run into Starlite thought to herself as she studied the mare while she walked closer, she was a rather interesting assortment of purples and reds that reminded her somewhat of a sunset. "Well so far pretty well" She responded "Or at least I haven't slogged through a bog...or gotten chastised by a future queen anyways" She continued with a slight chuckle. "Though it is still early"
"I'm Starlite" she introduced herself in a warm tone "Whats brings you to Yisi this morning?" she questioned shaking her head a bit to get her multicolored forelock out of her eyes

"Indeed it is still early." Dysis said with a laugh. "Many things could go wrong still." She came to a stop now that the two were close enough to hold a conversation without having to raise their voices. "I am Dysis. It is nice to meet you Starlite."
"I am on my way back to D'ob to meet with my sister." She replied. "And what of you? Are you traveling through as well."

"Well lets hope today continues on the right track shall we?" Starlite responded with a slight laugh of her own, the little bae mare was indeed proving to be far friendlier then the Ichsa had been and shuffling her wings slightly to make herself comfortable, Starlite listened to the mares explanation. A sister..well that must be nice Starlite had been an only foal and had always wanted a sibling.
"Well that must be nice - having a sibling to meet with and share things with" Starlite answered a bit wistfully, she wondered briefly if Dysis' sister was a brightly colored as she was. "I'm merely traveling with..' she paused what should she call Swiftwind? after a few moments thought she finally settled "A friend of mine" she concluded in a cheery voice - and she was cheerful it was far nicer to be traveling with a friend she supposed then alone.

Dysis bobbed her head slightly in a nod. "Yes, let's hope things do continue to go well." She shifted her weight around a bit letting one of her back legs rest. It was nice to stop and have a friendly conversation with a stranger. Well no, Starlite couldn't be considered a stranger anymore, they knew each others names so that made them more like acquaintances.
"Oh indeed it is good to have a sibling. Although my sister does have a knack for getting herself into trouble, which is why I must check up on her so often." She paused for a moment before continuing. "Stars only know what would happen to her if I wasn't around." Indeed she did wonder what would happen to Eos if she wasn't around to help her out at every turn.

"Well its a good thing for her that you are around then" Starlite remarked "and willing to take care of her so". Starlite wasn't sure what type of trouble the other mare was referring too - but she rather hoped for dysis sake that it wasn't of the more serious nature...I mean there was trouble the likes of getting stuck in the mud..and trouble like being caught by the Jala's in the mountains and being made into a slave. Starlite had only heard stories of these jala..but she knew enough from those stories to steer clear of them, even if she herself was in no danger.
"I was an only foal, so I can't say I ever had someone to watch over like that - not sure I would have had the patience to be honest" Starlite mused "I didn't have the greatest temper when I was younger" She concluded with a slight smile

"Yes, is it good that I am around for her. And as frustrating as it is some days, I couldn't imagine having a better sister." She told Starlite. Eos was her total opposite in every way, but that's what made them get along so well. She wouldn't change it for the world.
"An only foal huh?" She said quietly. The thought of not having a playmate growing up with made her feel quite sad. There were so many fun things you could do with your siblings when you were younger. "Patience is my of my many gifts." She said with a slightly chuckle. "My sister, Eos, is my complete opposite in every way. She had no patience what so ever."

"I think perhaps my early temper was a result of being an only foal" Starlite confessed after the other mare had finished speaking "I was pretty spoiled as a child and certainly wasn't afraid to demand things" She continued with a slight laugh. by the sounds of it Dysis had always been fairly level headed and kind - something no doubt this Eos benefited from greatly.
"Thankfully I've grown up since then and am no longer the spoiled little brat I once was" And Starlite was thankful when she thought back on her foal hood self some of the things she'd said and done nearly made her cringe. But that was the past. "Don't you find it difficult to get along once in a while when the two of you are so different?" She questioned the mare more out of curiosity then anything else.

"That could explain your temper. Being an only foal would have been hard I imagine, with no play mates." She replied to Starlite. Falling silent for a few moments while she thought about the answer to the other question.
"Most Nequus grow out of their childhood behaviors. Although some seem to be more like a foal trapped in an adults body." She said with a chuckle, having previously run into one such Nequus. "It can be difficult at times." She began. "But in some odd way our differences make us closer. Sure we have our fights, what family doesn't, but in the end we always work things out."

Starlite hmmed her agreement with Dysis' assessment - the Bae mare seemed like she was quite intelligent, which was nice Starlite was not vain or haughty enough to consider herself better then others she had met but it was nice to find someone who was smart as well as pretty now and again.
"It was lonely at times" she agreed 'but I sometimes found other foals to play with now and again". Starlite considered the mares explanation of her relationship with her sister for a few moments, the two of them certainly did sound pretty close to one another "It is good that you work things out, one of my few foal hood friends no longer talks to his siblings due to some falling out or another - I've always thought it a great loss to him..but of course he won't listen. Males are so stubborn that way"

"Well at least there were others to play with on occasion." She said, having no foals to ever play with would have been horrible. Thankfully she never was without playmates growing up.
She shook her head a bit. "I couldn't imagine having a spat with my sister that would lead to us not talking ever again." Her voice tinged with a bit of sadness. "You are a good friend to have tried to get them to make up. It is a shame he is too stubborn to see past that and try to make things right between them."

Starlite shrugged her wings slightly "It is him, in the end, who suffers the most to my way of thinking" she responded thoughtfully, there really wasn't much she could do about it however 'you would think since the incident happened so long ago that they would be over it by now...but he seems fairly adept at holding a grudge" She concluded with a sigh.
Glancing up at the sun - which by this time had risen fairly high in the sky Starlite tried to gauge the time - it was getting to where she ought to go and find Swiftwind she was thinking and turned her head to tell Dysis "Seems to be getting on in the day, I best be on my way or my companion might decide to leave without me" She joked.

Dysis chuckled a bit. "Men, so stubborn." Her eyes also moved to the sun, quite a bit of time had passed since she ran into Starlite.
"We wouldn't want that." She replied. "I better get on the move too, can't keep my sister waiting or she will wander off." A smile on her maw. "It was so nice to meet your Starlite, I do hope we can run into each other again some time."
