Audrey never thought she'd say it, but it was nice not having to go to school for awhile. Since the mysterious meningitis outbreak at Barren Pines causing the school to be shut down, her transfer back to Meadowview hadn't yet been approved. So, for now, Audrey Collins was a free agent. Strolling around Destiny City midday got her some odd looks, especially in concord with her sometimes almost childish dress.
But today was all about business. She'd been instructed to team up with one of the moderately new lieutenants, Variscite, to retrieve star seeds. Leaving Barren Pines had set things back to almost normal, and that was a-ok with Linarite! Standing on the roof of an office building, blue hair blowing behind her, the Negaversian looked ahead to the massive construction of glass and steel.
Today would decidedly be fun. That is, if her partner ever showed up!

Dale still had to attend school, and to be honest she was starting to get worried about her studies. Late nights out with her cars some nights, other nights with some ladies, and the rest of the nights dedicated to the Negaverse. It was wearing her out.
Still, that didn't stop her from doing her best to make a dramatic entrance on the top of the office building. She didn't have hair to blow dramatically behind her, but her scarf flapped like a flag in the rough wind. She didn't make any attempt to hide her footsteps as she walked up beside the other lieutenant. The scent of Linarite's shampoo was wafting in her nostrils, and Variscite closed her eyes and inhaled. With a laugh, she picked up some of the blue strands and fingered it in her clawed fingers, careful not to cut a single strand.
"If I had known that my partner would be so beautiful, I would've arrived sooner!"

She'd heard the other coming up behind her, but what happened next came as a total surprise. With a quick sidestep and twirl, Linarite's hair was out of her grasp and was eying Variscite with suspicion and just a little bit of exasperation. Add yet another to the pile that seemed to find her guise of Linarite as horribly attractive. 'Wonder what she'd say about Audrey, eh?' was the thought in her mind.
Rolling one shoulder to put her mind back into focus, Lina smiled her best smile. You didn't win any friends by shrieking like a harpy. Or acting like Ursula. "Should have. Then maybe we could've had a nice talk. As it is, I think we only have time to run down the list of what needs to be done." Sighing just a little, the bluenette pointed to the steel structure in the distance. "You know the Searrs Building, right? Our target is going to be a big fun party! One of their hoity-toity cousins is visiting today, you know, as a 'check up' so they can earn their billion dollar paycheck for doing something this year."
The smile sharpened to a ruthless point, tongue running across the edge of her teeth excitedly. She'd never done something so daring before, but she and Variscite were both lithe and small enough for this venture. It would be so very much fun!
"You up for it?"

"Oh," Variscite drawled. "I love parties. I must admit I'm not used to crashing them, though. I suppose this will be a new adventure, in that sense."
Variscite took a step towards the edge, looking over at the building in question.
"So, I suppose the party will be in the penthouse suite, right? I doubt even we could leap to the top of THAT building, so we'll have to get in from the side or bottom. Elevators would take too long, I'd imagine the stairwell would be more fruitful... and we could always catch a wayward security guard or two."
Variscite looked down at her claws and idly scratched her thumb against her index finger, making a grating noise. She glanced up at the dark sky and smirked. She had a sudden idea, it was almost like a lightbulb went off in her head. Why not make this fun?
"How about if we make a competition out of it? Some healthy fun along the way..."
