Spirit let out a howl of agony, it was as if he had been dying. But he was far from it. He was in the middle of town, his cream colored coat was stained with dirt and left over garbage. He had lost Mau in the park, it was a park, thats what she had called it. What on earth was a park! His mind strayed back and forth and he let out another yowl of protest. It was the only thing he could think of doing at the moment. He was deaf, not completely and at least he could hear himself when he yowled this loud. Tears filled his eyes and he dragged his tail on the ground, meowing and looking for the cat that had made him feel safe or anyone one offering. He sniffed, his funny meows being answered with old cans clattering at him, being hurled from the air.

Achilles, a grungy looking Tonkinese, was padding his way around alley ways. He had just visited town to see if he could gather up a decent meal and he succeed. A kind shop owner had laid out a can of tuna for him and he was satisfied. It was amazing to him how some people could be so nice, and others so cruel. Speaking of cruel. As the young teenager strolled down the path he came to notice a clattering sound. Focusing his eyes they locked onto a poor kitten who seemed scared to death and certainly crying for help. How come Achilles didn't hear him before. Quickly, he dashed over to the cat in need but didn't touch him, fearing he might be vicious. "Are you alright?" he asked a standard question.

Picking her head up from her paws with a start, bright green eyes blinked open wide as a young girl whipped her head about. Ears stood erect on her head and flipped around in her effort to locate that sudden distressed yowl that had sounded nearby. Ah! There it was again.
Blinking to herself, the young, dark-haired Korat got to her feet and dropped from the tree she had been sleeping in. Light on her paws, it didn't take long for the curious kit to locate the owner of the lonely voice. Watching the cream-colored tom with strange ears, she slowly made her way toward him. What was making him so upset? Natsuki couldn't see anything wrong with this cat, but that voice of his wouldn't let her sleep. Just as she had begun to approach, another tom cat suddenly rushed in from... somewhere. "Ah! Excuse me!" She called, coming up to join them and fixing her gaze on the frightened Curl, "What's the matter?" Her long, grey tail flickered behind her, and she glanced for a moment to the other cat who had approached.

The crying didn't seem to stop. Whatever this young American Curls problem was it had to be pretty big. His question went unanswered but before he could ask another some stranger came walking up. She had short jet black hair and bright glowing green eyes. They were so beautiful, he couldn't help but stare for a moment or two. It touched Achilles' heart to hear that she too was concerned about the cream colored boy. Shyly he spoke up, "I'm not sure. He hasn't spoken to me, yet. Maybe he doesn't want to talk about it..." He turned his attention back on Spirit, letting his eyes wander over the other. Perhaps he was hurt, but Achilles couldn't spot a problem.
