Deux Marlox smoked the last of his cigarettes as he sat on the stairs outside of the By'arre apartment, scanning the crowd expertly for that ridiculous pink hair. He grumbled to himself even as he did so; somehow, through a mixture of genuine concern and pressure from that nutball Silas, he had been roped into waiting for Aludra to come home that day. He sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to figure out exactly what he was going to say. After all, he didn't have the blessing of a son growing as fast as the spawn did, so this would be his first crack at giving a sex talk. And it was to a stranger's kid. ******** perfect.
He took another drag and exhaled slowly, watching the smoke fade away as he waited. Okay, so Noah By'arre wasn't a total stranger, but fact was that Deux had pretty much never had a good conversation with Aludra since he knew him. So, of course, their first one had to be stupidly uncomfortable. He groaned. The likelihood that this would destroy whatever relationship they could have had was high.
'OR MAYBE HE JUST WON'T SHOW UP FOR NO REASON,' the Eilian thought loudly to himself as he once again looked for his charge, growling under his breath. He wouldn't be surprised, given that he'd been hanging out with those hellspawn Poppy and Rowan. Perhaps he'd make mention of how wonderfully bad of an idea that was as well. Once again, if Aludra ever got there. Another drag. Deux hated waiting.

Aludra returned to his apartment house both dizzy and in a state of euphoria, taking slow, steady drags from the third cigarette he'd had in the past... well, however long it had taken him to walk from the bus stop a few blocks up. He'd meant to pay attention and get off at the right place but, well... his mind was on other things at the moment. Far, far, far away other things and the soreness that came with them.
Sucking the nicotine from the stick of tobacco, he almost didn't notice the ferret standing outside of his apartment building and when he did, he gave him a giddy, dazed smile, the likes of which had NEVER graced Aludra's face. As a matter of fact, it was the last place a smile like that would have been found under normal circumstances.
"'Lo, Deux," Aludra stated pleasantly, leaning up against the wall nearest the stairs that his brother's father was sitting on, sighing out a breath of toxic air as he did so, still smiling like an idiot. The lack of articulation was also something never before heard of and it was immediately obvious that there was something off about the boy, something different; something betrayed by the lack of a silver ring on his left ring finger.

It took Deux about three seconds to understand what was up with Aludra when the dolt finally came sauntering home, looking so happy he could have puked up a rainbow. Sighing and furrowing his brow in frustration, he breathed in a deep drag; at least this means he wouldn't have to explain how it worked. Not noticing the change in speech, he merely raised a hand in greeting, finishing his cigarette before stubbing it out and looking over Aludra critically, a determined set in his jaw.
"So, Aludra, since both of your parents are utter pussies and it ain't your sister's job, I'm here to talk to you about sex. Though it looks like I'll have less explaining to do than I thought," he remarked with a smirk. "Getting lucky with the doctor, are we?"

Aludra gazed through the swirls of smoke curling up from his cigarette at Deux, smiling as dizzily and happily as he had been since he'd left the Facility, not opposed to listening to what Deux had to say. He snerked at the concept of his parents being 'utter pussies', even though he didn't quite think of Silas as his father yet; after all, they weren't married yet, even though Noah was talking about it practically nonstop to people on the phone, people who randomly showed up at the house in suits, people in stores. All over the place, 'marriage' this and 'wedding' that. Why didn't they just get it over with?
The smile only split his face further at the question, a faint blush dusting his cheeks as he took another drag, letting out with a dreamy, "Yeah..." He looked over at Deux again and smiled like the dazed no-longer-a-virgin that he was, tail waving lackadaisically behind him. Sure, he didn't know about sex with a girl, but why on earth would that be important? "What are you planning to explain, then?"

Deux shrugged noncommittally at the spawn's question, really having no idea himself. It wasn't like he had someone explain the nasty to him; he had found out through the tried-and-true method of experience, thank you very much. Mix that with a very skewed moral sense and no real knowledge of anything technical like diseases, and Deux was beginning to think that this was a very bad idea. Trois was so much better at doing... things like this. Things that required knowledge. He scowled a little bitterly and flicked away the cigarette stub, steeling his shoulders a little. Alright, so where to start...?
"Well, lemme think... You know how to not have AIDS or something like that, right? Y'know, condoms and that. You can get them at the place where they vacuum out unwanted babies and stuff for free, it's pretty sweet. And uh... You can't get pregnant, so no probs there... If you ever bang a girl, wear a condom unless you want to be paying child support for the rest of your life - well, really your dad would be doing that, but whatever. Um... Any questions?" he finished a little lamely. Aware of the awkwardness, he lit another cigarette. Well, that had sucked.

Aludra listened with half an ear to what Deux was saying, a little too caught up in reliving past events to wholly care about whatever it was that was being talked about. Condoms, which he forgot if they'd used, babies, pregnant, blahblahblah he wasn't about to go on having sex with a female or an Eilian; hell, he wasn't about to go on being on top at the rate that things were happening.
"Not really," he replied simply with a pleasant smile on his face, which disappeared when he sucked in a deep drag of pure filter. Making a 'nasty' face, he flicked the butt away from himself and smiled back at Deux, taking out another of his own cigarettes. With a snap of his fingers, he lit the end of it and smiled over at Deux, still looking anything but himself with that giddy grin on his face. "That all?"

Deux sniggered when Aludra smoked some filter, although his smirk quickly grew into a jealous pout when he saw for the first time Aludra's magical talent. God, what he wouldn't have given to have THAT during Ialu. Much better than faggy comfort magic, that's for ******** sure...
He looked at the sky as he thought over what else he could say, raggedly tail flipping back and forth before he shrugged. "Meh. Not really. I mean, there's the whole thing about 'making sure you're ready for sex' and 'only having sex with people you're ready to marry' and s**t like that." He made a scornful face and sucked on his cigarette. "Personally, I think that's a load of crap. Just make sure you don't die, and sex is fine." He smiled wryly at Aludra. "Think that's good enough?"

Aludra sighed and half-tuned Deux out for the time-being that he was leaning against the wall, enjoying his memories of what had transpired in recent hours and looked over when Deux said 'load of crap', having completely forgotten what the other was going on about by that point, except the fact that it had something to do with safe sex. Aludra nodded idly to himself in response to the question. "MmHmm. Don't think you need say anymore," he replied. "Don't die, don't knock up girls, be safe," he said and smiled slightly, taking another drag from his cigarette. "Thanks for stepping up."
