What is Evil 9?

Welcome to Evil 9. I could go into a lengthy explanation of the name and origin of Evil 9, but none of you want to hear that. Short and sweet this is thread made for battle and learning. Some of you may have jutsu you want to create, but don't know how well it will be in battle or to use in role play. Some of you may want to try out the feel of battle because you have yet to do it. Some of you may just want to wail on a character to release some real world frustration. Evil 9 shall bring all of that.

As the title says this is a simulation so it has no effect on the actual role play whatsoever (although if you want to reference something from here it will stroke my ego). This is a place to practice and learn battle. To try out moves and techniques before you want them approved. To even try out characters and clan stats if need be. This is also a learning experience for me. Many of the things I put here will influence future creations and plots made for Shimagakure so battling here will be a great help. Together we may also figure out a way to amend anything or improve the battle system.

With that being said the fighters here aren't going to be pushovers. Each one of these characters will be packing some special clan stats and at least one special jutsu so that I can see and assess results of jutsu (don't worry. You'll get the heads up on jutsu and special stats in their profile). For now there are nine fighters and two animal summons. Both can be fought alone, but one maybe summoned during a battle.

I hope you come on by and join the battle. Test your character's limits and mine so that we both may grow.

Rules


- You can choose any of the characters to fight from. I'd suggest sticking with tier that your character is on, but it is up to you. Pound on characters at a lower level or take a difficult challenge and face characters above your rank.

- Since all of these characters are NPCs you will not get experience such as in PvP. Within this thread Shisei and Kanami also count as NPCs so you will not get experience from them either.

- If there is a jutsu you want to create and try out still follow the rules of the jutsu approval thread first before posting it here. When posting it, post with the name of the character you will be using and the name of the character you want to fight against.

- Two people may team together to battle a character. This is so people may experiment with combination techniques and teamwork rolls. If two people do battle I will choose a character of a higher level to face off against the team. No more than three people against one please >_
- All of these characters fight alone. The exception is Sune and Ensu, as it is required for their techniques.

- At the moment, if you want to test out jutsu that your character can either learn or is close to learning (meaning either only four ability points away and/or only five skill points away). This is not mandatory to battle. You can use your character as is.

- Please ask the creator(s) before trying to use or replicate any jutsu, clans, weapons etc. that have been used here.

- Be respectful towards others and their ideas. Comments are welcomed after battles.

- Have fun and be experimental.

Physical Description: Houka looks like a frail girl. Her skin is slightly tanned from being outdoors. Around her forearms are bites and stings from different types of insects. She has black hair that is tied in the back and drops down in two ponytails. Some have come to call this 'antennas'. She has a few bangs at her forehead that does not hinder her eyesight. Houka doesn't like how her eyes look so she always squints to hide them.
Clothing:Houka for the most part looks plain. She wears plain capris pants and a black and white hoody that covers her chin. When the hood is brought up it has two ears on top reminiscent of a panda. Surprisingly Houka has sky blue, pricey sandals. She wears black reflective shades that you cannot see her eyes through and always carries around a book on insects. The bottle around her neck contains some of the destruction bugs.
Enemy Bio: Most people would call Houka lame. She lacks physical, mental and social skills. Academically she's mediocre and she is always afraid to speak up for herself. Houka always apologizes too when she makes a mistake. When she's pushed to the point of anxiety though, Houka surprisingly shows a lot of promise. If only she could see it all the time.
Enemy Quote: "Please... don't touch my book."
Other: The bottle around Houka's neck contains the females of the kikai species. She had a bad experience once when both genders were in her body during mating season. Easily intimidated.

Mushi Bushin no Jutsu [Bug Clone Technique]
The user creates an exact copy of themselves from the bugs within their body. The bugs come through the user’s pores and take on their appearance. The clone is very fragile and is easily destroyed, but it gives the destruction bugs an opportunity to gain an edge on an unsuspecting foe.

Personality: Nothing much there, aside from having a strong determination to protect their host. Some individuals like to break through her skin and walk or fly around on the outside for a few minutes.
Background: This specific colony was breaded for someone else, but when that person died it was passed down to Houka. It is a colony in its infancy and is thus very active to create adjustments within the girl's body. Much to her dismay.

Mushi Kokufuu [Destruction Bug Dust Storm]
The Kikai bugs fly towards the target and surround him. The insects then swarm around the target's face and limbs. Their objective is to blind and defer the target's movement while allowing their host and other bugs to attack.

Clothing: He wears orange pants that stop mid calf. Above is a vest with a dark brown shade below and a earth tone red above. He wears sandals that are a shade lighter than his complexion. His arms both adorned with wrist and armbands. Around his waist is his head band. He wears the gold band of his idol around his forehead instead.
Personality: Impulsive, speaks his mind, and somewhat loud. He gets excited when things go 'boom' and has a soft spot for orphans.
Enemy Bio: As far as Daise can remember he has been a street rat with no family, no name, and no future. After a faithful meeting with a man from a guild of potters he was given the mouth in his left hand. From that day Daise has tried his best to emulate that man and his skill. Unfortunately Daise is a little reckless with his techniques. He has much hatred for Shisei.

Other: In another world, another place and another time he is connected to a certain snake and Hyuuga. Some explosions can’t be escaped by just dodging.

Earth Clone Technique [Tsuchi Bunshin no Jutsu]
This jutsu creates one or more identical copies of the user out of mud. There only needs to be earth nearby for the user to create a clone. The clones are physically real and can perform jutsu, but will turn back into mud when enough damage has been done. All earth clones have 1/4 (25%) of user's stats and cannot be controlled over long distances.
Cp Cost: 25 per clone
Damage: 25% that of the user
Requirement: Ninjutsu 10, Character Level 5, Earth Affinity

Avoid: Dodge [Treat as normal person] Detect check to differentiate fake from real.

Special: If opponent fails the sense/detect check and you choose to fight alongside with your clones, opponent rolls an additional "Luck" dice with their attack. This dice does not count towards their total dice roll. For them to hit you amongst all the clones, they must roll a 11 or higher. If they succeed +Luck Roll to next sense/detect roll against technique.

Exploding Clay C1 [Kibaku Nendo C1]
The user uses clay to model and create a small animal or figure to aid in combat. The animal will home in and aggressively pursue the target until within a close enough range. Once there the animal will explode giving off a small explosion.

Damage: 5 - 15 + Chakra mod + Range Bonus
Requirements: 10 Control, 20 Ninjutsu
Avoid: Dodge
Special: Takes 1 post to create. Cost: 1 Mouthful

Exploding Clay C1 - Failed Model [Kibaku Nendo C1 - Dojiru Gou]
Description: The user creates a model similar to a normal C1, but with an imbalance. A higher concentration of explosive chakra is made into the body of a medium sized animal or figure with not enough clay to solidify the bomb and fuse. The power is still equivalent to a normal C1, but the range of the explosion is greater. It is also prone to unexpectedly explode.
Cp Cost: 38
Damage: 15 - 25 + Chakra Mod
Requirements: 10 Control, 30 Ninjutsu
Avoid: Sprint
Special 1: Takes 1 post to create. Cost: 2 Mouthfuls

Physical Description: He's still short being only 5'0 and meager being only at around 100lbs. Like all Orochi his skin is ghostly pale with dreadlocks (his happen to be short and purple). He also has snake like gold eyes with black rings around them. His tongue and left ear both contain silver rings.
Clothing: He has switched his normal brown zippered pants to one with color in black. The bottoms can still be zipped off making it shorts. Other than that the Orochi wears the same light brown jacket with black undershirt and sandals as before. He wears a headband low on his forehead. Instead of using the giant tessen, Fenghuang, Shisei has opted to use two blue tessens known as Severing Fates
Personality: Arrogant, rude, apathetic, and speaks his mind. Most of his emotions have eroded away making him uncaring in most situations.
Enemy Bio: The child prodigy, last of the Orochi and self proclaimed 'strongest of the genin class'. His birth along with the tragedy of his family has left him austere to everyone around him while aspiring to be the best. Don't let his small stature fool you. Natural talent and cold calculations make this genius ruthless and unforgiving. He has a strong dislike for Daise.
Enemy Quote: "There is no future for those who get in my way...."
Other: In another world, another place and another time he is connected to a certain street rat and Hyuuga. In this place there is no reason for Shisei to hold back, making him stronger than normal...

Physical Description: Kumori is a small girl being only at 5'5. She's skinny and light with pale skin. Her eyes are as dark as shadows. Her hair is an unusual two toned color; the back being dark as tar, while the front is white as snow.
Clothing: Kumori is shrouded in all black. She keeps a tattered cloak around her form at all times. It only opens when she is in battle. Below that are dark shorts that stop below her ankle and leave her thighs and hip open at the sides. She wears fingerless gloves and a sleeveless shirt. Most distinct about her is the mask around her face. She needs it due to asthma. Kumori also fights with a large windmill shuriken that she usually keeps closed and at her side like a curved sword. She uses it both like a sword and shuriken.
Personality: Very bland, stoic, soft spoken, strongly committed to a task, calculating
Enemy Bio: Born in the land of Taki due to her parents moving from their original home, Kumori has grown to be an excellent kunoichi. When a command is set ahead of her she goes about it the best way possible. She is a unique shinobi that uses her shadows as a weapon. That and a mixture of weapons make her deadly.
Enemy Quote: "The mission before everything else."
Other: Touching her mask may lead to bad things… Get it off though with a successful grapple and she’ll lose 10Hp and Cp each post.

Jutsu

Clone Technique [Bunshin no Jutsu]
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can usually be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). You use this technique to confuse your opponent in order to attack them more easily.
Cp Cost: 2 per bunshin
Damage: None
Requirements: Must be taught.
Seals: Ram, Snake, Tiger
Special: If Clone technique is successful you may use sneak attack onto your following attack if it coincides with the technique.
Special: If opponent fails the sense/detect check and you choose to fight alongside with your clones, opponent rolls an additional "Luck" dice with their attack. Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique [Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu]
This technique is a genjutsu that not only transforms nearby objects by effecting the user's sight, but causes the user's sense of direction to become distorted. The user uses this technique to lose and confuse the enemy from a distance, tiring them out as they move along. The user must be hidden in order to use this technique successfully. This technique can also be helpful when luring someone into a trap.
Cp Cost: 10 + 5 per holding post.
Damage: 1 to 2 + Intel Mod + Genjutsu bonus
Requirements: Genjutsu 30, Control 10, Hide 10
Seals: Tiger, Ox, Serpent, Dog, Hare, Serpent, Boar
Special: Must roll Hide with every genjutsu roll.

Rope Escape Technique [Nawanuke no jutsu]
A basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy, this jutsu allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. This is done by using your chakra to make your body more flexible to slip out of the bonds. This can also be used to help yourself escape grapples.
CP Cost: 5

Requirement: Must be taught.
Seals: None.
Special: +Chakra Mod to Escape roll

Shadow Imitation Technique [Kage Mane no Jutsu]
By stretching his shadow, the user captures his opponent's body the moment their shadows touch. Once the shadows are connected the target's movements mimic the users. They are bond by the shadow to imitate the user's actions like a mirror.
Cp Cost: 20 + 10 per holding post
Damage: N/A
Requirements: Control 20, Ninjutsu 10, Level 4
Special: 1d20 + Ninjutsu + Sneak Attack for first roll vs 1d20 + Dodge + Detect. Then Control vs Fortitude. Successful fortitude results in blocked movement.

Shadow Clone Technique [Kage Bunshin no Jutsu]
The Kage Bunshin technique is a powerful technique that creates exactly clones of the user that have chakra systems and are identical to the use. Byakugan and Sharigan bonuses can not be used to detect the real one from the fakes since this technique tricks the eyes of these clans by creating exact clones. You must go by the rules of Teamwork when using these clones together in an attack since they are individuals. Unlike normal clones, Kage bunshins have the ability to train since the user is given back all all information the clones does. You can not gain ability points when training with clones and all chakra costs and health costs are doubled for clones. Kage clones have 1/2 of the user's stats.
Cp cost: 25 per bushin.
Damage: Half Damage
Requirements: Ninjutsu 30, Control 20, Character Level 3, Must be Taught
Special: Character level 10 to use Bunshin's for training. Must be supervised by higher ranking shinobi.

Smoke Bomb
The smoke bomb is an item used in combat to escape the scene or set up the area for sneak attacks. The creator of the smoke bomb must be well suited in the mechanics of packing the dust and making sure the bomb goes off when needed and not in the shinobi's hand. Depending on how well the bomb maker is will depend on how long the smoke screen lasts, how much area it can cover and how thick the smoke is.

10x Shuriken
The shuriken is simply a throwing ninja star. They are made out of a black steel that is desirable for stealth. Shuriken are relatively easy to throw and require precise aiming to be effect.

2x Jitte
A small blunt weapon which consists of a long prong with a small curved prong on the side, it's very useful to disarm an opponent and block attacks once you know how to handle it. However, it's not used to cause damage. Not a lot of strength is needed if the user is quick and precise with their movements.
Damage: 4 to 9 + Str Mod + Ninja Bonus
Requirements: 5 ranks of Ninja
Modifier: Strength
Blacksmith DC: 15
Special: Can disarm opponent with 30 ranks of Ninja. Your attack roll has to be 15 points higher then your opponents attack roll.

Fuuma Shuriken
The fuuma shuriken is, quite simple put, an over-sized throwing ninja star. They are made out of a black steel that is desirable for stealth. Fuuma Shuriken aren't easy to throw and require precise aiming and good timing to be effective.
Damage: 15 to 21 + Str Mod + Throwing Bonus
Requirements: 35 ranks of Throwing, Endurance 45
Modifier: Endurance
Blacksmith DC: 45

Fuuma Shuriken (Melee)
Damage: 8 to 14 + Str Mod + Sword Bonus
Requirements: 15 ranks of Sword, Agility 25
Modifier: Agility
Blacksmith DC: 25
Special: Similar to a Dao

Environments


This won't take effect for a while until I've done a few battles. Essentially these are the battlegrounds that our fights will be in. It won’t be just about beautiful scenery though. Each field will have its own special designation that can affect the battle. Some may not have any water to use so water justu won’t be an option. Some may have a giant thunderstorm extinguishing fire jutsu. Some may even have a time limit as to a number of posts to win by. The only Environment open at the moment is Enders' Zone.


Enders' Zone – The place where it is the end for most, but perhaps the beginning for others. It has a little bit of everything for all elemental types; Two slow moving rivers, a small forestry of trees, an open field of grass land. All of this surrounded by mountains and tricking streams from the mountains. The rock formation circle the area similar to a very large coliseum. Wind is constantly blowing lightly in the field. Scarily this field’s time of day is always midnight with a full moon. The mountains also have glowing lights that appear to be veins. The instability of this zone leaves no positives or negatives.

Devil Cathedral – This was once a place of worship, but for an unknown reason became abandoned. It has a Gothic design with angular peeks and sharp structures. Over the years its outside has become ruined with many vines climbing the walls, peeling white paint and eroding walls. Yet inside remains as clean as the day it was constructed. The interior design has large ivory halls and cylindrical structures to hold the ceiling up. Each cylindrical structure has a statue of a headless angel with a candle in their hands. The windows that are not broken have stained glass in them. Each of them depicting a battle between a warrior and horned creature. At the center of the Cathedral is an altar. Pews circle around the altar. Upon the altar is one golden chalice and next to it a small statue of a horse with bat wings. Above this is a circular stain glassed sun roof that allows the sun and moon to eerily illuminate the statue and chalice. Somewhere at the top of the church is a large bell with a thorny vines encircling it. Once in a while during the night, the bell ominously rings and the candles of the beheaded angels are lit. Who or what does this is a mystery.

Field at Zero – Snow Country, while beautiful to behold, is a harsh and severe environment. During the summer time this place blooms many wild flowers that last for only a month at the most. During the other times it is a frost bitten field. Because of its barren setting the snow and wind easily rush throughout the area, making it cold and obscuring sight. When the storms pick up once can barely see their palm before their face. It is very hard to transverse and many opt to wait for the summer, before crossing this area.

Enemy Bio: A clan that has become infamous for commanding the destruction bugs with great efficiency.
Limit Description: Becoming a host to the destruction bugs allows this clan to use the insects to bring confusion among the battlefield and while draining the enemy of chakra.
Physical Description: All members wear dark glasses that hide the eyes. Clothing that covers up most of the body (usually including parts of the face) is normal. Overall they look like suspicious characters.

Kikai Bug Stats:

Special: - Bug Level from Aburame user's Cp for every Trick used. If bug's are inside users body during battle they take 1/4 damage the user sustains. When Kikai bugs grapple an opponent, -Bug Level from opponent's Cp.

Enemy Bio: Not a clan, but rather a guild of artists. This guild uses their creations as an explosive offensive.
Limit Description: A forbidden technique is used to make an individual combine clay and chakra together. The forbidden technique also allows for additionally mouths to be placed on the body that can infuse chakra and clay.
Physical Description: -
In Game Stats:

None

Special 1: Eating clay with a mouth takes up a roll. Clay is measured by mouthfuls.
Special 2: A giant mouth can eat three mouthfuls of clay in one roll. Only one giant mouth can be placed on the body. Never on the limbs or head.
