The winner of the funny thanksgiving story contest is kogagal by defualt. Her story was actually very funny, but no one else posted sad well, the forums will remain open for anyone who wants to submit a story, but there's no prize.

Well, here's something since I was too late to join the guild to realize there was a contest going on: True story.
A few years ago, I lived in Colorado. In Denver Metro. Well it was the Friday after the Friday after Thanksgiving. My mother was driving, coming home from work. When she comes home, she rushes into her room and grabs her camera. We asked her what the rush was, and she told us to just get in the car. So I did. We drove a few blocks so she could show us the 'emergency'. Funny and nature are always 'emergencies'. ANyway anyway, there pacing in front of God and everybody on the church's front step...no lie... a turkey. a pretty fat one. so i go,
"Hey look. The cluck's praying...going Sanctuary Sanctuary. Gobble gobble."
and then mother goes, "Yeah, he's praying he'll survive another Thanksgiving."
ANd thats my story...totally true. He was there the next day too before he wandered off.
