I am bi-sexual leaning lesbian and I have this thing for gender-bending. Both ways. When a girl wears guys boxers, ect I think it's really hot, and when guys look efemminate(sp??) it's also atractive. A friend of mine (a girld) dressed as a guy to an anime convention and I thought for a second I was going to kiss her she was so pretty. And Mana (from Malice Mizer) who is a guy who looks very feminin and wears dresses/makeup is gorgeous to me. Does anyone eles feel this way? Is there a name for it? =^-^=

I am not exactly sure if there is a name for it. (Though I am sure someone will know.) I have a guy Bisexual friend and he describes his attractions in the same way. He loves females who wear certain guy's clothing and absolutely loves males who dress or act a little feminine.

Don't worry, you descibe exactly who I am. I'm a bisexual girl who generally likes girls more than guys. And I have the same attraction to girly guys, and manly girls. And I know a lot of bisexual girls who are the same way.

I don't know the name for this offhand, though I know that there is one. This isn't weird at all. I love it myself, and I have a relative who's mentioned that he feels the same way. If you doubt how common this is, think of the amazing adoration and fame accorded to people like Boy George and Michael Jackson in the 80s, Liberace in the... well, forever. Hilary Swank in the 90s, the success of the movie "The Crying Game," and of course the myriad of current stars who play gay men and women, transgendered people, and the ambiguously-oriented.
Also, a new word has been coined in the last five years, the metrosexual, describing heterosexual men who have characteristics that previously have been ascribed to gay men -- and when people say metrosexual, they say it with approval and even admiration, which means we've come a LONG way. I'm still waiting for a similarly admiring term for women who have tinges of mannishness in the sense of confidence, personal power, and lack of apology for these qualities. The point is, if the culture is embracing the people who are like this, it can't be long before we have a language to describe, with affection or approval, those who adore people like this.
Keep your chin up, and love whom you love, and don't ever apologize for it.

I have a fetish for femmy guys... though i think that's about it... mostly make-up and long hair... possibly stockings and knee high boots... but for me skirts would be going too far.

Pansexual does refer to the whole spectrum, but it goes deeper than gender identity. Wikipedia defines it as: potential aesthetic attraction, romantic love and sexual desire for anybody, including those people who don't fit into the gender binary of male/female implied by bisexual attraction.So basically any kind of person (masculine men, feminine women, feminine men, masculine women, transexuals, hermaphrodites, androgens) holds some kind of attraction for you, though some may be stronger than others. If Nradunel likes all kinds of people but prefers androgens, then she is a pansexual. However, if she enjoys androgens only, then she is not. (let's talk about her like she's not here)
