It was another long night of trying to keep his 'brother', Anon, reigned in as well as looking out for Requiem when he could. The dawn had already broken through the night sky and the sun was casting a warm orange hue along the clouds. It was moments like these that he loved to see, even if he was too tired to really appreciate them to their full extent. He supposed most didnt even stop to look at the colors.
He was heading back to the forest from the desert's edge, head held high and eyes closed as the soft cool wind ran over his features, blowing the hair from his eyes. Today would be a warm day, but the morning was starting off quite nicely. He wasnt always one to sleep during the day, but he supposed it was better than being awake in the heat. This morning there seemed to be a sweet scent in the air, though he didnt recognize it.

Hm... it was already approaching dawn. Father will be worried since she was going to be home so late. But, watching the stars was worth being late... or that's what Aylen believed. The mare was sure her father would understand that she lost track of time. Besides, he often lost track of time himself, so he would have no right to get too upset at her.
After some time, she reached the forest and pressed through it. A small frown graced her lips, not being able to see the wonderful colors of the sunrise from among the trees, but she assured herself that they will be just as beautiful when she emerges out the other side of the forest. As she ventured further through the trees, humming a small little ditty, she had a small feeling that she wasn't alone in the forest this early morning.

Just as he reached the forest's edge he paused, seeing her out of the corner of his eye. He could tell this was where the sweet scent was coming from and a smile crossed his lips. Her colors and look reminded him of the dusk or twilight sky and he cleared his throat a bit, his voice was soft but strong.
"Good morning," he offered, hoping he didnt scare her off. He noticed most females were often timid, especially if alone, as if he would do something to harm them for some reason.

The small mare was going to continue her trip back home when she heard something. Well, of course she would hear something there were other animals about, but this sounded from something larger than her. Ears perked, she looked in the direction it came from. Seeing the stallion, she tilted her head slightly. He was pretty dark, but his markings were bright and quite lovely.
When he spoke to her, she smiled warmly and offered him a bow of her head in greeting. "Good morning." She replied in a sweet tone, "how are you today?"

Seeing that she responded, and in the tone she had, warmed his heart. Good, he was tired of always seeming to run across untrusting types. It wore him out and made his head hurt. But then again... he could understand why if there were more like his 'brothers' out there. He offered a warm smile and didnt hesitate in coming closer.
"I am...quite well actually. About to head off to the forest for some sleep," he offered. "And yourself?"
He understood that going to sleep this time of day might seem quite odd, but he didnt feel the need to 'shield' her from anything. He felt comfortable for some reason to speak quite openly with her.

Her tail gave a soft flick when she saw him head toward her. It didn't take any second thought to go and meet him halfway, trotting over to him and stopping before him.
"That is good to hear." She answered with a small giggle when he stated that he was off to get some sleep. "I'm good... I'm actually on my way home for some sleep too." At that thought, she had to hope that by the time she got "home", her father wasn't ready to leave or have left already. She highly doubts he would leave her behind though.

He blinked a bit in his own shock that she was going to sleep as well. With her approach and seemingly what they had in common as well, he was completely relaxed. He looked her over a bit, shaking her hair from his eyes. "Is that so!," he teased.
"And what exactly have you been up to? Going to sleep at the start of the day isnt all too common a thing," he started to move, as if to walk her home or at least in the direction she had come from.

She looked away in slight embarrassment at his reaction, but her smile never left her face. She gazed back up to him as she stepped up beside him as he turned. "I know it's not, but I can't help it... I just love going out at night and watching the stars." She sighed softly, both in content and a bit sadly, "I must worry my father a lot though when I'm out so late."

He kept a slow pace as he walked with her, tho in a way he let her lead so he would know at least where he was going. 'And what do you see when you watch the stars?' he asked softly. They must tell you a lot for you to watch them so often.
He took note of her sad tone a bit and turned his head to look at her. 'Why dont you watch the stars closer to home then? He might not worry so much then...' his voice trailed off. 'By the way... where is 'home' for you? Heh, I would hate to feel as if I were leading you in the wrong direction of it.'

The mare kept walking along through the forest in the direction of home. Well, in the direction that home was last in. At his question, she shrugged softly. "Oh, I don't think they tell me anything really." She said with a soft giggle. "I'm just amazed on how they twinkle and shine. And though I see them every night and don't think they ever change, every time I glance up to them, something always seems new."
"Well, the thing about 'home' is, that it's never in the same place for long." She started when he mentioned watching the stars near it. "My father seems to be on some sort of journey, so he has been wandering from place to place. Lots of times, we find ourselves settling for the night in a forest, where the trees block the skies... so I find myself having to roam some distance from him to look." The question about where her home was had to make her giggle some, "... well... hopefully, it is still in this direction."

His ears moved at her answers, taking in all her words. To him, the things she said seemed almost... depressing, however she didnt seem to have that tone or feel about her that they would be. He only looked at her a bit. 'What is it that is new to you?' he looked up to the sky a moment, curious as to what she saw, maybe it would be something new that he himself never noticed.
'What kind of journey?' he asked. Curious as to what would keep someone roaming all the time. Almost everyone in his herd roamed, but they always came back to one spot they called home. 'Im sure... if you two wanted a place to stay on a regular basis, Requiem would welcome you to our home in the forest. It has a nice clearing where you dont have to wander too far to look at the stars,' he smiled at her a bit, it was gentle and genuine. He thought normally he was one that might be 'odd' tho the things she talked about seemed even more foreign to him which was indeed a surprise.

She was unaware that he saw her view point on stars as a bit odd, but even if she did, she would more than likely have passed it off as one of those 'to each their own' moments. She just stopped in place for a moment and glanced to what sky was revealed. "Every star is different! If you look at them long enough, you can make out shapes much like you can with clouds." She sighed softly, smiling sweetly, "and with every new place you go to, there are new stars and shapes. Also, although I have yet to see it... my father says that stars even race across the sky from time to time."
At the question about the kind of journey her father was taking, she resumed walking with him, giving him a shrug. "I don't really know, I never really questioned it. It just seems like he's trying to search for something." A small frown formed on her face from the thought of that being her best answer for him, but it faded when he offered his home to her and her father. "Thank you, I'll be sure to bring the offer up with my father."

At her further explanation about the stars he stopped again, looking up, his ears moving from time to time. The stars were fading fast as the dawn rose so he tried to perhaps get a glimpse of these... unique things. He fell quiet before making a face, deciding he would definitely have to pay more attention, it was something he really wanted to see. And ones that race across the sky? Perhaps before he never truly spent that much attention to them, which now he was wishing he had.
He would have asked her more on the question. Searching for someone, something, somewhere? But he took notice of her expression and decided to leave it at that, for some reason around her he felt like a child suddenly with so many questions when normally he was the type to just leave each to their own. He started to walk again with her, leaving the stars and his questions for rest to now.
Nodding a bit, pleased that she would at least consider his offer he smiled, "No rush or pressure... again just an offer for someplace to call home," his voice was low and smooth, comforting. "Everyone should have a place to call their own, even if its shared with others".

When the stallion stopped yet again, she did so as well, not wanting to let him trail behind. She looked back to him for a moment, before also glancing up to the sky. It was a small shame to see the stars dimming as the colors of the rising sun started to spread across the sky. Oh well, the sun has its duty to do, so she just enjoyed what was left of the night sky.
When their journey began again, she sighed happily and walked alongside him, tail flicking lightly. This was nice. It wasn't often that she had company on her expeditions besides her father. So having Kaim by her side was rather refreshing, even if it was only for the trip back home. It also didn't help that he listened to her swoon over the stars.
"Yes, that is true and I'm sure my father will agree. But I'm also sure that my father wouldn't want to bother anyone with his constant coming and going." She replied softly, quite appreciative of his offer. It would be nice to have a certain place to call home. Ever since emerging from her basket, her and her father have been on the move. Perhaps this would be a welcomed change of pace.

He didnt really know what to say anymore, and he was quite content to just follow her. A soft smile kept on his lips, and it was something he didnt even realize.
Indeed this was nice, the company she gave. Maybe if she didnt take up his offer, he could travel with her instead. He felt a warmth from her, and like a moth attracted to the light, he seemed drawn to her, even in the silence that followed. At this moment he would happily follow her anywhere, she could have just as well been a siren leading him to his death and he would have been blind to it.
