Achilles stretched his body out, feeling the tension in his muscles melt away. He had just woken up from a very pleasant nap and was currently letting his mind ponder his dream while it was still fresh in his cranium. He had dreamed about a large castle and a princess with untouchable beauty. She was locked high up in a tower, trapped by an evil step mother. Perhaps it was influenced by the book he had read earlier that week. Still, why would he dream about that when there were so many other things bouncing around in his head. Maybe it meant something. Silly Achilles. He always thought his dreams meant something special.

Finally rubbing the boogies from his eyes he sat up and glanced around his surroundings. He had fallen asleep in the bushes again? Well, he was a pretty safe spot to catch some Zzzs. The young boy slipped out from them and took a glance around. It was afternoon, maybe one or two. He had only taken a cat nap, something he was fond of. His eyes lingered over the grass of the park to find that there weren't many cats about today. "Huh, that's weird..." Usually this place was a popular hang out. The teenage boy ran his fingers through his hair, ruffing it up a bit before wandering out into the open, taking his time to be cautious.

Achilles eyes were focused on what was in front of him, not to the back of him. So of course he wasn't aware of a sudden weight being distributed over his back. A light gasp and a sharp turn of his head and his eyes were met with Denali's. "W-woah, I uh... um..." he was at a loss for words. This was the first time anybody had been so bold about contact with him. "I did..." his answer was sort and simple. It surely answered her question but it wasn't really leading anything on. A little bit out of his comfort zone he paid more attention to her hand on his back than he did to her in general. It was a strange feeling to be touched. Especially by a stranger who was so risque. She looked really beautiful with her sense of fashion. He hadn't really seen anything like it before.

Young Achilles' eyes watched her carefully with every new movement. Eventually, her hand became quite calming and rather pleasing to lean into. He worked his way up to a quiet purr and his eyes became half lidded as she continued to please him with her touch. "I... I like it here. It's a nice place." He made sure to answer her first question so that it wasn't forgotten. It would be rude to leave the lady wondering. It was her next question he was really curious about. "Fun? Like, what do you mean?" He seemed a bit hesitant but with her hands off of him he was coming to his senses. He was a bit worried about what her definition of fun was.

With all this contact Achilles was finding it hard to focus on her words, let alone the meaning of what she was really saying. His tail twitched from the nervousness that built up the tension in his muscles. "P-playing? I-I like to play..." his vocals were cutting of and causing him to stutter a little. Little Achilles wasn't sure what kind of games she had in mind but it sounded alright. "Cards? What's that?" He wasn't very knowledgeable about playing cards sadly, and it would seem like a way to amuse him. However, when sexy Denali pressed her body up against his he swallowed hard, forgetting about the cards. "M-more fun? I-I don't know..." He leaned back from this new over load of touch. After a hand full of steps backwards he accidentally tripped over his own two feet and landed on his rear with an "oomph!"

The poor little Tonkinese gripped Denali's hand firmly, hoisting himself off the ground. What an embarrassing mistake he had made. She was only being friendly and he had to get all freaked and trip over his own feet. Even though he had shown such rudeness to the girl, which he regretted, she was still offering to teach him a thing or to. How nice of her.

"Cards? ... is it difficult?" his tone lingered somewhere between curious and nervous. He would love to learn but he usually didn't like to try for goals that were to difficult to achieve. He disliked failure and rejection so much. It was pretty bad how terribly limited it made the boy. If Denali was to teach him she'd have to be patient because he liked to take things slow and careful. Then again, cards could be his hidden talent. You never know until you try.

He waited for the lovely miss' answer while pondering her unusual accent. It was rather amusing, and he'd love to ask where she was from, but of course he would never question. It might be a touchy subject for her, or maybe she would get upset for him being so nosy. He certainly didn't want to take any chances with her.

She seemed to be a nice lady. Well, nice enough. With the way she comforted him and reassured that there wasn't a thing to worry about he felt his troubles melting away. The Tonkinese gave a soft hum out of happiness and nodded up at the lady. "Thank you," he stated softly and stood up with the help of her hand. "Denali. That's a nice name. I'm Achilles." His words seemed to be coming out a lot smoother now thanks to her kindness. "I learn.... uh.... at my own pace." He sure did hope that it was a good enough answer. He had never really been taught anything. He just sort of learned things from his mistakes. Never was he put in a student/teacher situation so he was interested to see how it'd go. "I am good at learning and following rules, though." He seemed confident in that.

Achilles smiled softly as she admitted to liking his name as well. At least she knew how to make him smile. "Thank you again, Denali." The young boy of fifteen was excited to learn such things from this woman. Cards sounded like it could be quite fun. The fact that she was willing to work with him as long as it took was another reason he liked her. She seemed to want to teach him just as badly as Achilles wanted to learn. When she began leading him the boy wasn't slow to follow. In fact, he was right at her heels, sticking to her like glue almost. It was strange how he could go from being completely nervous around somebody to being attached.

Once inside her back room the boy was very impressed with it. Better than any bushes he had taken refuge in. "It's a nice place you've got here," he spoke tenderly to the lady as she got out the table and chairs and took her seat. He thought naturally that he should sit opposite of her so he took his seat and stared at her. The way she explained how to play was very simple. It was mostly about being logical and using your brain. The rules were very important to Achilles, though. He was sure to stick them right in the back of his mind, never wanting to forget them. A growing interest could be sensed in Achilles as Denali went on and on with her lesson.

Achilles smiled at the lady, feeling more welcome than he had in such a long time. The way that Denali was explaining all this to him made him think that perhaps she'd let him hang around, even if it wasn't permanent. "Oh, more games? Like... cards? Do you think I could play when I get good enough?" Sure, he didn't understand that it was strip poker she was talking about because to him it was just another fun game. A game that he could possibly be good at because as far as these rules went and the tips she was giving it didn't seem that difficult. Actually, it was really entertaining for the boy. Other than writing in his dream journal and reading books, Achilles didn't have much recreational activities.
